  • Thanks for making this video with your thoughts. I thought I was the only one who felt like this. You make me less depressed.

  • silverfuturist nice video makes a lot of since

  • Beautiful insight.

  • You are so right. There is no pride in anything from appearence, to young girls swearing like truckers getting peirced and tattoos, or to ownership. Alot can be learned by our grandparents.

  • @outofworkbum How about young men as well, or are they excused because they are male with a dick between their legs, sexist pig!?

  • You do realize that if you lived during that period you would never have been exposed to any of those treasures of the aristocracy.

  • Classy video. I sure respect that you are reserving judgement on the DeAngelis Bros. until there is some actual evidence of current "victims" or current crime. I pointed out the flaws in the kangaroo court verdict only to have my comments removed by connectingdots1. That showed me a lot about his character. :(

  • Amen Brother!

  • Joe, I feel you on this one. The most unfortunate aspect of dumbing-down is actually forgetting Who we truly are. The door to that answer is on my channel. Just a courtesy reminder. :o) Love to you, Joe, and your passion is not lost on me.

  • So weird to see someone mention "Idiocracy". From the time I first viewed that movie, I have told friends of mine that sadly, that is the road we are headed down. Personally, I didn't find the movie funny at all. It scared the absolute shit out of me.

  • @xtop23 AMEN!

  • Very amusing. I'm sure you can buy some plastic brushes plated in silver if it makes you feel better. I know it won't. Nice soundtrack.

  • I love technology, but not the lack of quality, in an age when we could have the highest quality. This is a part of the capitalist high turnover of cheep goods to sustain a 5 day work week. Soon people will realize that the junk in their homes is as worthless as the junk in their pockets & banks. I purchased a pure wool, hand spun, natural dyed & woven rug & somebody said to me : you could have got a rug for 1/4 of the price. but I like quality myself & it's a joy to feel it under my bear feet

  • watch the movie "idiocracy", it's a funny comedy that is very scary at the same time! It's a glimpse into the future of america getting dumber under corporate control.

  • @passtheconstitution That's an amazing movie, it's so stupid, but ironically, very prescient.

  • @passtheconstitution

Just seen it again after its released. So many parallels of to today.

  • I think what you are reffering to is not just the dumbing down of society, but also the DEGRADATION of it as well.

There was a time when people cared enough to be concerned about other idividuals, it mattered when laws were broken. Now it's "I 'll take what I can if I can and I don't care who I hurt. The whole world can pay for my mistakes;as long as I have what I want."

  • You stay classy San Diego (and the rest of America too).

  • They say that every generation.

  • that's called "fiat music" :-)

  • @silverfuturist Inception soundtrack is pretty good.

  • An error has occurred...Pleas try again later??

I really wna see this one !!!!!!!

  • Silverfuturist: are you a semi-savant? I just watched that chess game video!

If I told you what day of the week I was born, could you tell me the year-month-date I was born? Silly jokes aside, I really enjoy your videos, and in just a few days of browsing them I have come to respect you greatly.

  • You should watch Joe Rogan's stand up.

  • Nice Shirt

  • It's not the dumming down it's dumbed down allready im afraid.

  • I think I learned something...?

  • You ahould come and visit me in Northern Austria on the border with Czech. This is culture, This is beauty. Southern Czech Moravia Bohemia Vienna Esterhazy Palace on the border with Hungary. You should come and see this before you never can. Where I am is one of the first and last bastions of Europe, People Nations civilisations have all come and gone here and I am proud to be a part of this. I am a Australian and now I see that 1000years has changed nothing, time stands still, we move on

  • sufjan stevens

  • Silver Futurist, you got it right. The banksters and the USSA Government want people dumbed down following trivial matters like Sports and Justin Bieber so they can continue to rob us blind. They also know that with everyone out of shape there is a small chance of an armed revolution. I left the USSA, but I look at my group of friends and 80% probably couldn't run down the block without any gear without panting and keeling over. It's sad. Stay skinny, keep doing yoga, and keep fighting 4 silver.

  • Silverfut, you're right, Beiber is a total pawn. He's going to have a meltdown britney spears style.

  • A GOOD GUY..................................UK

  • music,kindness,silver,family,food, fun,friend's,trust, gold, media,the market, your'e sens'e of humour,travel , WHERE DO YOU PUT YOUR'E FIAT..............ROLL YOUR'E DICE AND TAKE YOUR'E CHANCE........me rabid silver.......................uk....forgive

  • Gold used to be $20.67/oz before the Roosevelt confiscation and re-pegging at $35, whereby the US gov't stole 41% of the nations' wealth. It's amazing to think. (But the recent heist by the Wall St./banking oligarchs makes that look like child's play.) The scariest thing to contemplate, which nobody wants to talk about, is that the world's population is unsustainable without cheap energy and debt, both of which are about to evaporate. Research the shape any naturally-occurring population curve.

  • The Insiders are destroying America and its people. First they must get rid of the past which our ancestors made happen then they will replace it with how they want it to be for them on earth. Less people means less threats against their Agenda. Eliminating the population is being done in many ways.

  • Hell, more than 50% of Americans are overweight, that's why they think you're anorexic. They don't know any better....lol.

  • whats the music called ?

  • Great video friend, I always knew there was something wrong when I was younger and all of a sudden people thought reality television was the greatest thing ever.

  • justin B. crap!

  • One of my favorites you've ever done.. really resonated with your message.. thanks

  • You are the man joe... keep doing what your doing. You spread knowledge and truth, thank you.

  • nice brush.

  • Please try to stop saying "I mean"

  • Great video! Wouldn't it be wonderful if we returned to being a nation of craftsmen? Maybe all this economic shake-up will start a trend away from 'degrees in worthlessness,' and toward high quality? That would be a nice silver lining =)

  • check out "beware of The Collectors Coach" videos. You've been sucked into their web of hype. You're enthusiasm is great but you are still a novice in the precious metals business.

  • Great video and that was some good music. You're thin, but well within healthy limits. Yeah, being thin these days stands out a lot because most people are overweight or obese.

  • i think we still do produce some pretty high art, it just takes 1000 times as many people to produce the same amount of high quality art. quality work was almost ubiquitous 200 years ago, today it is rare. same with silver. society's intelligence seems to be concentrated similar to its wealth today.

  • people used to be more aware. we don't need to look at the sky, we have GPS.

If all our electronics were to shut down suddenly, there would be a very limited record of us. even photo albums are a thing of the past.

  • SF, all is not lost... I'm sure you've heard of Daft Punk's original score for Tron Legacy. I listen to that sound track almost daily while working. It makes every task I do at work seem so very "EPIC" in scale. "Daft Punk recruited 90-piece orchestra for Tron: Legacy soundtrack"... it is innovation and evolution in music at is best. Who new Daft Punk can write such a moving and epic score.

Point taken and great vid... Yes, YouTube is our revolution against the mainstream BS. -STFM

  • @SilverTraderFM Yes! I mentioned how good that soundtrack went with the movie... Tron Legacy was a great movie for the peasant class, I enjoyed it!

  • @SilverTraderFM

Life is a series of 'dummy philters' that each individual must navigate and avoid in order to proceed with their enlightenment.

Can you pass each test and proceed towards positive Human endeavor?

I believe we must reach a proper understanding - Align ourselves to that which promulgates our future and the future of our children.

Those that fail these tests will not be around to enjoy a future at all. This is about 90% of the population.

I don't like it any more than you...

  • @LP101A I see a man who is living life as he should.

Enlightenment is what we are witnessing.

All will become clearer day-by-day. See Joe take the path and navigate through life in a positive way.

You cannot stop an active mind! Epiphanies are sure to follow - I hope everyone takes note...

  • 3:46-3:55 put a lump in my throat the 1st viewing.

The empathy was in surround as well as the music.

  • A new renaissance will begin but not before we finish our journey through darkness, Be strong my friend, and have faith in goodness and the light.

  • Hey Joe, are you into the Total War Series? (PC games)

  • Our culture fades away with the pace of the limitation of natural ressources.

  • The fact that silverwares like those are WORTHLESS in today's iSuck generation proves Wealth is NOT the answer. Happiness and health are everything. Fuck Money, Fuck Gold, Fuck Silver, Fuck Fast Cars, Fuck it all ..........to hell. I'm happy and BROKE and I have no house, no mortgage, no car and NO DEBTS, you makes your choices in this life.

  • 100% agreed

  • Good video... great point....I agree wholeheartedly.... Thanks for making this video.

  • Great video, we used to have a tradition for classical music here in Norway, nowadays its Britney Spears and Justin Bieber. BTW, government announced price controls on dental services yesterday, and a takeover of the whole industry within a couple of years. The argument is to make it free for everybody, and the crowd cheers of course.

    Serfdom on the horizon...

  • where did you get that shirt?

  • My hairbrush is made of plastic :(

  • There was also filth, extreme poverty, siphilis, child labour, teberculous....... and much much more!

  • You are absolutely correct! Where is the art? Where are the great works? They are all around us for those willing to listen.

Listen to Beethoven's 9th Symphony - 3rd movement. He was stone-deaf when he wrote this wonderful piece. I read a documentary about his work on this symphony. He cut the legs off his piano ... placed the piano directly on the floor, and put his ear to the floor to hear the notes he chose for this symphony.

All that glitters is not gold! It is silver!

  • Found a few sterling rings at pawn shop for only $4 each. For $4, I couldn't resist.

  • Joe,

Do you lack culture because you play video games? Im serious. Do grown men who play video games lack culture?

  • @eatandtravel I have heard musical compositions in some video games that would "wow" the greatest composers of the past. The musicians who write the background music for these games are quite unnoticed and undervalued as they are ingenious ... like silver.

  • @reb618 Final Fantasy comes to mind.

  • @eatandtravel Am I absent of culture because I played a video game? It must been my choice of words in that video, I am not afraid to try things that other people have compartmentalized, video games are one of them.

I have come across many "culture posers," people who try to act cultured by doing "culture things" but their intent is similar to one who attends a class because they want the degree, not because they genuinely enjoy it.

  • @silverfuturist i myself, think todays music doesnt even compare to classical. thats because i love classical. a persons culture is what they enjoy & value. the notion, that classical music is cultured and eveything else is not. i think that has a lot of the "keep up with the jones" mentality. high society supposedly likes it, so people feel the need to get to the point, where they like it too. that, like everything, is some people, not everyone

  • You are one of the coolest people, seriously, I love your brain. I also love your shirt, and those shakers I commented on those last time you showcased them. I also love your Bantam Chickens I may get a few myself but my girls are kind of mean we shall see. Thanks for making these videos I always look forward to seeing them.. :)

  • Joe,

You are scaring me. When someone claims that they have a handle on high culture, I get worried.

Im bummed, Joe. You are talking down to the people which isnt your style.

  • @eatandtravel How about honesty and integrity, really; he is right, we can all handle the truth, right? How is he talking down to the people? Quality has gone down, it is undeniable. He is 100% on key in my opinion.

  • @eatandtravel I didn't realize I was making a claim, it seems my choice of words is getting me comments I didn't expect.

  • Your best video yet.

  • cramer might be pumping silver to regain his credibility and ratings by saying he called it when silver goes to the moon... i love real music too

  • What you don't have Bieber Fever?? Oh wait I don't either. I think he's gay or come out of the closet. Nothing against gays though. My favorite is Mozart. And I love 50's & 60's because I think time froze and their music and songs touch some people more than others and I'm 30's yrs old. No one I know likes it they're more into hip hop rap u know those modern crap they puke out these days.

  • When you mention Youtube being part of the solution I think you have something there. If for a brief moment you do pause, take in your surroundings and see life for what it really is, it's so easy for social pressures to make you feel different and abnormal. It's so easy to let yourself get stuffed back inside the box. Getting to watch people like you online regularly means its much harder to lose those moments of clarity.

  • Buy tickets to your local orchestra. :)

  • I love U as a silver investor but, I"m sorry as far as I understand it. We DO NOT just print money like Zimbabwe. We have fiscal policies that prevent us from printing money in an uncontrolled manner. Our problem is we Ignored some of those polices and borrowed out of hand...Now we have a huge Debt of 14 trillion dollars. We need to pay off our loans and stop borrowing. I've done my research... However as a Silver Investor keep feeding the Speculative Bubble.... Thank you,

  • @MUDSWAT The debts cannot be repaid. They will, however, be printed down to manageable sizes. QE3, QE4, QE5, etc.

Yes, you are correct, we will not see 100 billion dollar US notes in our lifetime. I'm fairly certain we WILL see the end of the dollar as the reserve currency and $100 silver in the next 10 years.

  • @kja5 Thank you for not saying something from a total brainwashed point of view and from propaganda.

  • @MUDSWAT keep researching, hopefully you are not done yet.

  • @Ilovehistorychannel I've done a good deal of research already... I'm sure theres not many headlines on this subject I have not heard or can not debunk. Try me....

  • @MUDSWAT when china and japan and others where buying us bonds, then you could say your not printing money like Zimbabwe, but when the fed starts writing itself iou's, then your just printing money, we would all be self made billionaires if we could write ourself iou's

  • @MUDSWAT Yes you are right about the money printing, a few videos ago I talked about how M0 hasn't changed, how there can't be wheelbarrows full of money. I also have several deflation videos from a few months back.

  • @MUDSWAT the second comment is that the fate of the dollar is the same as other paper currencies in that it will become valueless in the future... doesn't necessarily mean we will have trillion dollar notes, but they all become obsolete.

  • Joe , sell those t shirts.... Bail yourself out... Silver and gold are money... Nice slogans. Look into it . Bob

  • @boob1019 That is one of the shirts from the Schiff campaign, the back wants you to vote for him in 2010.

  • Very well done. The music was a good touch. I have begun gardening, writing, have not had cable for a year and my "social networking" involves talking with people one-on-one ... it has becomes necessary to become detached from the media culture in order to be happy and successful.

  • "whats with this justin beiber?" as a musician, i totally agree!!!

  • they want neo feudalism

  • I loved this video!!!

Check out Vitamin String Quartet for some wonderful string performances.

  • @kja5 In the end , by vitamin is fantastic, i have their live in texas dvd and it's wicked !! Apocalyptica do a great job with metallica's music.

  • Regarding classical music, for whom was it originally written? Mozart, Beethoven, etc composed for their patrons who were in the nobility. I doubt the regular people listened to that kind of music. They had their folk songs and so on. The music of today (pop), about which you lament, is for the common people. There are still composers who produce complex, beautiful music. It's just not played on the radio because the audience, the affluent and educated, is so small. Nothing's changed really.

  • @silenceinthehouseoft Good point, before radio classical music required having access or proximity to the expense resources for an orchestra. With today's technology, we can have access to almost everything the affluent have, except their physical lifestyle.

  • @silenceinthehouseoft A second note: in college I briefly worked for an assembly plant. A young guy fresh from Poland that worked there listened to classical music on his headphones during work, the others noted how different that was, he thought it was "normal."

  • @silverfuturist I'm not saying you're wrong, but a former Soviet Block country may be a poor example. If popular music as was monopolized by the government as it was in the USSR people may very well have been brought up listening to classical.

  • Just out of curiousity, how old is the silverfuturist?

  • Today's music is horrible. The "artists" can't sing, so they rap. They can't write original stuff, so they copy oldies. Many don't even play an instrument. I sound more like my father everyday.

  • Way back, when i was a wee little laddy in 1919, one of the great contemporary composers of our time, well maybe not your time, Carl Neilson had written a fine musical score called Aladdin suite part 1, check it out on youtube, it has 19,200 views. I know you'll enjoy it , keep up the good work !! ;o/

  • @giamozz WOW-1919! CONGRATS...; )

  • The truth of the matter is that the apex of our culture was very short lived and not so very long ago. When that music was written and performed MOST people were impoverished and illiterate. Only the upper class had a chance to hear and enjoy that music. Most had no access to it. In the 1800's that sterling silver hair brush would have been the total sum of the average person's wealth at that time. Today even the poor have access to books and music.TODAY WE CHOOSE TO BE DUMB.

  • @nanabijou62 Yes, that is a point I should have made! Back then only the wealthy had access, now we all have access.

  • @silverfuturist Back in the day only the elite were considered people (this includes "we the people" in the US constitution: it never meant to include the poor and non-whites). Peasants were little more than swine and the fine craftsmanship and art they produced was monopolized by the elite, who used it to display status and power. Those products don't really represent the greatness of Western culture, but the apex of elite power in a social system that is the model to which elites aspire.

  • @silverfuturist

Yes silverfuturist you are correct. They are intentionally dumbing us down. Her is a must see video playlist which all Westerners must see. This video playlist will wake up all who view it in its entirety. How much longer will it be until Silver hits $40 dollars per ounce? Two weeks? (Just remove the 4 spaces to view the video playlist. Down with Zionism!

  • @nanabijou62 Choice is an illusion. Today's society is dominated by the PR industry and thought is more strictly controlled and regimented than at any other time in human history, and on an unprecedented global scale. On average we are less free today than illiterate and impoverished peons in the 1800s - indeed that's partly why schooling was instituted. The average American is kept dumber and more strictly indoctrinated than the average Soviet or the average Chinese ever have been.

  • @DonVoghano Choice is never an illusion when it is made with both knowledge and wisdom. The fact that you know that there is a PR industry proves this. It is up to each individual to decide what is truth and what is fiction and where the boundaries lie. We are at an age where knowledge is readily accessible to virtually all in western society. The illusion lies in thinking that we are powerless. A new renaissance is on the horizon, the awakening has only just begun. Take heart, be patient.

  • @nanabijou62 - you don't know what you're talking about. Shaddap.

  • @bammbamm12 With comments such as "Shaddap", I can clearly see what choice you have made. Thank you for illustrating my point. Your poor grammar is only matched by your intellect.

  • @nanabijou62 I love that we have access to all the worlds' classic literature, music and works of art just at our fingertips. How absolutely amazing! And we can meet and converse with people all over the world. Many positives exist in this time in history if we don't allow ourselves to be lulled by mediocrity. I know I appreciate Joe's challenge. I need to be reminded.....; )

  • everyone show respect.

    press the like button.

    I know I did.

  • high culture will be preserved by those who preserve their wealth with honest money.

  • What music is that?? It's beautiful!

  • Stay classy

  • Wow, that was great. Powerful, even.

Always, look forward to watching your videos.

Agree with what you're saying about youtube & video blogging.

    Cheers!

  • Classy. Like the music too. Try pastoral by Beethoven. Very moving like what you were playing.

  • How do I bail myself out?

  • Great vid! The music is perfectly fitting, what's the name of the composer and song?

  • I agree Joe. When I see old buildings and the beautiful craftsmanship that was done with basic hand tools and ladders. now we have all the fancy electric tools and manlifts and such but throw up plain ugly ones as fast as possible.

  • @silverfuturist

I can feel your pain, first time poster. I am from India, came here in 95. I could see/feel the decline accelerate in the last 15 years. They "tried" to do the same systematically in India during the British rule. But the spiritual strength of India was is stronger. America needs a Gandhi.

  • @padmanu Amen.

  • @padmanu With all due respect Indians and India are not immune to this dumbing down of society. If anything Indians are more susceptible to it. Have u been to India and seen the dumbing down of that society? Turn on Indian television and you will see that it;'s not much different than US television. The credit card craze has also invaded India and many youth are now in the habit of spending money they don't have (via credit cards).

  • @cshah2 Agree to a certain extent. IMHO India still has the "spritual infrastructure" :-)

  • @padmanu What we need is a caste system, overwhelming stench and endless grinding poverty. Who needs Thomas Jefferson. Bollywood, yes Bollywood, that's what we need. We're doing a good enough job of turning the US into a Third World hellhole. Get over yourself.

  • I'm lost...I dont like justin b. or that creepy funeral music.lol

    enjoy your vids .

  • @GatheringSticks That rap crap is garbage too.

  • @GatheringSticks Lol, nobody has to like every song I like :)

  • You are so right.

    The downfall of our culture....

  • Best upload yet. They do want us dumbed down and out of shape, ( pretty much worthless)There is a reason bruce lee was killed by the illuminati. They didn't want people to know how to fight and defend themselves and properly use there minds. Bruce lee taught people how to do this.

  • Watch a movie called Idiocracy.

  • America is being reverse engineered. This is NOT a random event.

There are many videos on Youtube about the Frankfurt School,a communist ideology about destroying America by destroying the culture, with communism being the endgame.

    They have been wildly successful.

  • Great Video! No doubt the dumb and dumpy will be down and desperate after the big default!

Perhaps we should all find a bit of love and wait for Armageddon. If love is not

    availiable, Mozart will do.

  • Stay Classy Planet Earth!

  • I just got a little sad after seeing all the links to the Charlotte Iserbyt interviews in the sidebar and then thinking about how so few people know who she is let alone what she's been trying to warn us all about for the last fifteen to twenty years. I was trying to get my hands on an original copy of her book but they're selling for upwards of $250 on Amazon :(

Anyhow, thank you, silverfuturist! I appreciate all that you're doing.

  • This video resonates strongly with me. I hope every day that the people who are in my life will awaken to the social engineering that bombards us with social poison on the television and radio daily. What we need is nothing short of a second Renaissance; we must rediscover the beauty and brilliance of our past and bring it back. At the same time, we must identify that which is holding us back and dumbing us down and eliminate it. Name, we must tear down this globalist fascist system.

  • I was given a funny look today because I listen to classical music and have an understanding of Western Civilization. I guess I dont get out enough, and I might be better off by not doing so.

  • I luv this guy! Keep up the great work. Preach!!!

  • Great message dude, good job : )

  • What kind of person would thumbs down this video?!?! Thanks for the insight Futurist!!

  • Generally you can dub in uplifting music behind a monologue to give it more gravitas, but there's really no helping that geek voice.

  • stay classy

  • you have a way of expressing a great thought here today, unfortunately the symphonies are disappearing and soon there will only be a handful of great ones in only the wealthiest cities..yes all they want us to be good at is swiping out credit cards and getting in line.

  • you gotta listen to some 2pac

  • @chychy1 I notice that 2pac was bumped off along with the prviously departed John Lennon.

  • @gibbo675 TuPac, however you spell it is some of the stupidest music I have ever heard. I've witnessed so many people who say he was a genious. He put out the same ole cookie-cutter garbage that fills our airwaves today. Every pop song today sounds the same. There was a time not long ago when music stemmed from deep expression that cannot be expressed in language. Now, it's just a bunch of commercialized nonsense. I rarely listent to the radio any more.

  • I tried posting a video response but it's not going.

Anyway, I carry my Zimbabwe Note with me b/c it's cool and people do a triple take when they get a peek.

Yeah, I saw Kramer 'The Screamer' in an interview actually SHOCKED that he had to pay such a premium over spot for physical. IMAGINE THAT!!!!!

  • I don't necessarily 100% agree, but I have to say SilverFuturist.. it's always a pleasure watching your videos- great work

  • Gerald Celente says the same thing about "dumbing down" and "pride" and how our "parents used to dress"...he's one of my favorites.

    --Van

  • @van1976 yeah, Celente's pretty awesome.

  • Hey you can't dumb down money it's not a person. But you can make it worthless. Just saying.

  • @werbelloff

He was a great Jewish painter.

  • The Romans elite said "Give them the Circus Maximus and bread and they will be happy" Yes like Rome we are happy watching our sports and the average male knows everything about sports but continues to be clueless on the fact we like Rome are being dumbed down and on the decline. Our currency s being devalued our debt has increased our army overstretched and our so called leaders do nothing. We may be on the edge of entering a new dark age.

  • I always get inspired by playing the entire Half Life and Half Life 2 series, which I do at least once a year. The Freeman shows his excellence in all things.

  • Why? B/c its cheaper to push base garbage to the sheeple.

Its all about how corporations can maximize profits. Its a cycle and feeds on itself.More crap , more people that watch ,think other people watch and think its normal. Basically ,its the fall of Rome again.

Careful with collectors coach. He sometime pushed diamonds which is a terrible investment

  • check out "Adiemus" right here on youtube. Awesome uplifting adn motivational song where the words are not words at all but sounds. I think you'll like it.

  • Epic video ! Wow ! Great stuff my man !

  • Ten thumbs up.

  • You have seen the light ...to be sure my friend ~

  • If you want to know what happened to high art read the fountain head.

  • @werbelloff

Oh knock off pounding on the Jews. Who was Chagall?

  • Like most things these days.... the truth must be sought out and found by the seekers... sad, but at least some of us know it.

  • I share your grief, Joe. I am small like you, and it's difficult to find shirts without love handle pouches on the sides.

If you want to feel better about art, there are many great musicians here on YT who do it for the love of creating. For example, check out our many originals on bohemianmememusic.

Keep pride and class alive , folks!

  • Great Vid cheers.I turned the music off years ago

  • Next time wear a more "classy" shirt when you are tearing down our current society!! LOL!

  • @vambo13257 I am a fan of irony!
