  • Great job Daniel!! Keep innovating and trying to improve what we call "normal" and pay no attention to all the 'Know Nothing', 'Done Nothing' boring, ignorant Assholes that want to bag others just to reflect their own pathetic characters onto others! Follow that advice in your own individual way and you WILL succeed.

  • just new to the eyes but not really innovative

  • i like it.

  • I'll stick to a more practical normal bike.

  • la musique me soul, la fille pedale c est tout , pourquoi une video aussi longue

  • la musique me soul

  • lol,i like her heels on the pedals.

  • Great Video and design, how is the production going or was it always ment to be just a concept?

  • she have nice legs haha

  • thenoblequran (Ctrl+Enter)

  • So you replaced a basket with a gigantic, in your way briefcase, totally offsetting the balance of the bike, forcing you to use tiny wheels? There are a reason no traditional bikes use small wheels (hint: they suck at everything).

I hate to sound like a "hater", but I just don't understand whats special about this bike. It's a step backwards in almost every way imaginable.

  • she looks like a fukin tool

  • Looks uncomfortable.

  • you can't jump it or take it on trails, I will stick with my mountain bike.

  • No Lock! Gone in 10 Seconds! THANKS!

  • this a stupid video. This is a video w/ a lady riding to and from the same spot. Not locking the bike up @ the rack "dumb".

  • no one's gonna steal this bike

  • I can't decide If i think the bike looks stupid???

PS. Did i just see a drug deal go down?

she arrived with one briefcases and left with another

one, is she what the call a drug mule? lol

  • Cool idea to incorporate luggage as a key design element. Very utilitarian.

Are the small wheels a consequence of working around the luggage space, or is there an advantage with small wheels compared to traditional larger diameter wheels?

  • ah ah ah amaizing stupid sucks )))

  • i could really use that bike....

  • what??? no helmet or lock in a bike comercial??? thats f***ed up...

  • from my point of view- its crap.

  • this bike looks gay

  • no chain wen parked defenetley not usa lol

  • dam she's fine...

  • delinquents would poop in the briefcase.

  • I want to smell the seat after she is done with it

  • i never spent time in a uni? i made better bikes when i was in school, just to get to school,, what a waste of a bike ha ha

  • lovely design congratulations!

  • You will make money if you sell it to china and all the regions in asia.

  • what if it rains? ...car wins :)

  • so 5 years at uni and you make a funny looking bike ? . seriously? . if i was an employer looking for a similar bike design i would go to my nearest primary school with a pack of crayons and let the kids draw somthing.

  • very pretty lady, also the design is excellent, you could also incorporate a electric control system, taking the Li po batteries to work and recharging them during the day, very nice.Good luck in the future

  • she just leaves it there and nobody touches it??

  • It looks like nothing on earth.

  • This is wonderful.

It is possible to load with luggage though it is good-looking.

    I want it.

  • funny as hell!!!

  • haha i like it, well done for actually building the bike rather than just making a graphic design *****

  • Looks hard as fuck to ride at slow speed. 1:11

  • the optical illusion is great on the wheels :)

  • Shame it hasn't got a built in lock, not only would the thief have my bike, I'd loose the theft proof lights too. The best accessory this bik has is the bit on the saddle, I would love one just like that!!! ;o)

  • At 1:46 you can see the blue briefcase beside a trash can...

ps. it should go inside the trash can to onthe side

  • soo... you made a bike with a bag.... At the very least you could have integrated the lock into the bike or something. all you design kids are the same...

  • does the brief case lock into the bike?

  • I don;t get it. I agree with Chomp. I ride every day with my panniers (side bags). And the disk wheels would suck in the wind.

  • The only difference between this and a conventional bicycle is where the "basket" is located. Personally I think it would be annoying to have a briefcase between my legs while pedalling, but I suppose some people like to stick things between their legs...

  • @chomponthissmut

    Right, it's a blonde !

  • @chomponthissmut

    Right, it's a blonde ! ;-D

  • I like the look, and it's functionality. I think it could be marketable. Good Job!!

  • I think simple saddle bags are far more practical but for small office stuff this might do.

  • Hmm.. better idea would be a case to fit in the any bike's front triangle . Basically thats all this design boasts . Unless the price is dirt cheap , its just 'Haute couture' IMO. I think if it were folding there could be redemption . Hey but it looks cool .= )

  • Beautiful rider but the bike is goofy looking and with a odd body position , I don't find the breakthru in that design , you can not pedal comfortably witha briefcas ebetween your legs especially girls,,, whats wrong with the old hercules design mormon style.,,,,,,,.... E.B.

  • send one to David Cameron, then he wont need his Jag to follow with his breifcase.

  • is that junk a prize winner? sucks...

  • really ugly and looks hard to ride....prolly fall really easily

  • wow dude this guy put this video on cause he made that bike so don't criticize him i doubt you could make a bike anywhere near that

  • im just sayin, why do that when you could just get a backpack? for marketing purposes...i dont think it would work that well. its cool that he made it and everything. just saying i would buy it

  • yeah i understand exactly what your saying i thought you were criticizing his work ...but i totally understand what you mean now

  • i ment i wouldnt buy it haha. but yea. he should try a different type of bike. with that work, im sure he could build something better

  • ..youtube, yahoo..etc, are owned ! Just like the massmedia, trying their best to control our minds..mind u all, we are aware of these things.. but to u all, filter the truth we can invent wonderful innovations or machines if only u open ur minds and break away from the standard system..become self-sufficient

    1 7 9 3 !!

  • briefcasycle

  • Like the concept of this bicycle. I do not like the fact this woman was wearing no safety gear what so ever. Anyone who has cycled for any length of time at all knows this is sheer madness.

  • Im a transportation designer myself and I like it! But, the rear bending supporting tubes "skew" the rest of the edgy flow...

  • It looks clumsy

  • You should probably design a helmet to go with it for the "smell my own farts" type of health nut.

  • Looks to me if you had to stop abruptly -- your groin would pay severely!

  • buy a smaller one :D

  • Wow , ingenious replacing the water bottle with brief case WOW IM AMAZED

  • Attention All you lazy mouse squeezin' @sshol%- get off your duff and ride for once. Take in the scenery ; the air ; enjoy

some freedom from your metal box/casket because it sounds like all of you are strong tongued but weak legged perfumed-shampooed snots- Besides I get the chicks and they

love the scent of a real man!!!! I have not bought gas in ten

days - so there you lazy @%$!* YOU could not bend a tube let

alone weld it huh!?! That bike belongs in my collection ! THE GIRL

    TOO

  • I havent bought gas in 3 weeks. I love riding my bikes.

  • Complete piece of crap.

  • so you built a bike from scratch and awkwardly attached a brief case. You get the nobel prize for who cares

  • What's the difference between that and any other bike?

  • only the room for a square box it seems

  • Oh, how innovative...

  • Only if you want to be the smelliest office worker, every day- ..if u cant afford a car, get a scooter!

  • so the dutch must seem pretty smelly to huh.

also you can use a bike if you don't want to be that fat sweaty guy who never works out.

  • Dutch? I lovem'!

I got no prob with healthy habits, but, riding a bicycle & working up a sweat, in your BUSINESS suit is sorta counter- productive (espec if one has a choice). Business deals go south, bc SOMEBODY reeks, in the boardroom or going on junkets, where a rep cannot be, their "freshest" looking & smelling LESS than successful.

Get sweaty, keeping fit, on one's own time, otherwise, they should work at a warehse or take a cab or smthing, to work.

  • alls that is is a bike haggardlly built and someone welded on an aluminum case for a brief case. if you can win a prize for that then i should be able to get one too

  • seriously... biking with heals on lol

  • ugly as hell and the seat position sucks

  • it looks crap

  • evo-cycle-

allowing you to carry a metal briefcase AND STILL be completely unimportant.

  • Yeah - I first saw it and thought, "Hmmmmm it's a bit block headed".

Then being familiar with carrying everything on bicycles and motor bikes, the more I checked it out - the more I saw it as in terms of being a functional unit, it's a pretty damned good design.

    The around the city commuter.....

It's actually very well thought out.

Having a fleet of them in the parking lot for people to get around the city is a great idea.

The chick has got a nice arse too.

  • Comment removed

  • are you selling these? if so i might want one. depending on price.

  • what song is this?

  • You have to admit that aesthetically it's a gorgeous design though. And I want one!

  • I love it how the girls riding the bikes are wearing high-heels! very suitable..

    No safety helmets ladies.>?

  • Life would be oh so sweet, if I were a bicycle seat!

  • @sonsofmosiah being farted on and smelling someone's vagina all day is sweet?

  • the wheels look cool its making me eyes hhurt lol it looks lie the inner goes opposite way to outer

  • most "design bikes" are crap, this looks good tho, and practical! well done, very well done!!

  • Daniel. I sincerely hope you got a great career. This is a beautiful bicycle.

  • please tell me the title of song. Thanks.

    interesting concept

  • The music is 'Breathe' by Telepopmusik

  • too bad it doesn't have any coffee mug holders:(

  • neat idea... but as the presidente of evo, loyal audist, and media dabbler, i recommend a few things to clean up this presentation: logo, static logo placement, solid background behind the text, cut the time in half, and link to some one page fact sheet web site... done. anyways, good job i like the music... and the girl rides a bike well too =)

  • What an obvious solution. Wonder why no one thought of this before.

  • Very interesting. So is the Smart fortwo C>

  • wow!sell it in my country!

    bike to work!

  • Great work.

  • Oh no! Another bike I want to buy!!

Undecided whether to try the Strida or A-Bike for my collection, but would seriously look in to this if commercially available. Have you looked at R&D investment or is this a one off? Aesthetically it's cool, but what about handling?!

BTW, what's the soundtrack?! Sounds good..

  • The Evo-Cycle is a one off concept prototype I made for my final year degree project for just UK£500 (US$1,000)

The bike is very comfortable and handles just like a mountain bike. i regularly cycle it around london and people ask where they can buy one. Well hopefully the cycle manufacturers will see the light soon !

The music is called 'Breathe' by Telepopmuzik

  • @danielbeautiul what a student project.

  • Great idea! Compact, simple, egronomic and practical!

  • cool bike, good song

  • Awesome bike. I like the integrated lights. I think you should have a video where the woman LOCKS the bike up when she leaves it. It slightly disturbs me to see a beautiful bike left stealable.

  • Much better than a backpack ;)

  • very cool

  • now we just need an lcd panel there and we got it made :p. great idea by the way

  • I really like the design. I think it would do well in Japan, where there is a real market for citybikes. I like the fenders, but have you thought about any other fender designs or other accessories to go with it? There is a lot of potential on the front of the bike for another optional compartment.

  • I love the patterns on the wheels

  • Outstanding. Taking advantage of the hollow space in the frame is an old idea, but I don't think anyone modified it into a square before. Now you need to make a bike that will fit IN the suitcase!

  • Daniel, Beautiful design, inspiring as well. It looks as though that the reach to the handlebars is a little to far. Have you given any consideration to raising the bars to make it more comfortable?

Would be a hard sell here in the US I think. It's to bad really. I'd have an easier time imagining this in Amsterdam then in New York, at least for now. Hopefully your design can change that. Best of luck!!

  • Thanks for the comments.

The reach to the bars can be changed by adjusting/changing the handlebr stem. The bike was designed around an average physique and the model in the video was smaller than that. The bike would be produced in 3 different sizes.

I think you're right about the bike being more accepted in european cities than america as when i ride the prototype aound london it gets a lot of admiring comments, and they are disappointed when i tell them they can't buy one yet!

    Daniel

  • I dont see why people would move from normal bikes to these.

  • It isn't intended to replace all bikes. I designed this concept bike to fill a specific niche for a stylish luggage carrying bike aimed at city commuters. The integrated luggage system makes it much easier and cheaper to buy than racks and panniers and gives much better handling too.

    Daniel

  • cool. this seems to be a good alternative for the car. i think this is vechile for the future. bikes. good design. hope this comes to the United States.

  • even if on YouTube the music deserves a credit. or haven't the BSc Engineering students completed the 'intellectual property' unit yet?

  • The music is called 'Breath' by Telepopmuzik

  • Nice design. Could be a courier cult classic.
