  • Can somebody please upload the Rudram chanting by Challakere brothers too? Thank you.

  • I do not know why I am so sensitive to this part of the Rudram. It is so magic; nothing touch me as This. Whenever I have difficult time, I put This on and then the magic unfolds. Peace comes. Sometimes the hair of my arms goes up. The link with the Eternal within Human

  • if you are interested in prising the almighty then recite Rudra Namakam, which contains the phrases to salute and prise the almighty for who he is...... it contains morethan 6000 different words to express his abilities, streghts and other aspects... enjoy reciting, have peace in deep mind and heart

  • every element, water, rain, sunshine, health wealth happiness joy, what ever is mortal (like cow, horse, sheep etc etc) and imortal ( peace, knowledge, politeness, etc etc). We request nealy 3000+ items, every time we chant this mantra. ( this is just not includes "ME" i.e, self also "US" i.e, universe/race)

hope it gives you an idea of meaning,

  • Hi, let me put the meaning of this chant in a single line,

Here what we are requesting from the almighty (fill in your own name, because this chant is for the one who's the begining and the end).

peace to mind, peace to land, peace to heart, longivity of self, spouce and kids, bless with a son to carry the gene, provide all the metals starting from iron, cobalt, zinc, silver, gold to

  • Every thing from gross to subtle in the universe is a manifestation of that which we refer to as supreme, the subtlest of all which is NOTHINGNESS is refered to as Shiva=(Shi+VA) = that which is not. The duality springs up from this singularity and goes back into singularity. If you r in touch with singularity, you will know the secrets of creation and take life to a point where your life and death is in your hands. This is the only culture where god is a tool to your mukthi/ultimate liberation.

  • Not just Snakes... Every animal is divine for us. Right from Rat to Elephant. Infact dogs are divine too as they are associated with Lord Kala Bairava... India has 80% Hindu population and most devout hindus hold these animals divine...

  • This is fascinating. Shiva has a cobra wound around his neck & he holds a trident. It's clear to me that the worshippers have a better attitude toward snakes than we (Westerners) do. Very interesting.

  • Good Try ................Thanks a lot for the peace when hearing this

  • Hare Om! How much i miss this! Benares-i am coming back again! Thank you.

    Om shanti-hare mahadev!

  • I found it. Krishna Yajur-Veda, Taittiriya Samhita 4.7

  • Can you please tell me the specific name of this recitation? Also if you can reference the specific part of Vedic Literature it comes from with mandala and sukta number, that would be most appreciated. Thanks.

  • What is the origin of this recording? Is it from a CD? I would very much like to learn to correctly pronounce vedic mantras and shlokas and as a novice in Sanskrit, I can't always tell the authentic recordings from the more commercial ones. Thanks.

  • Impeccable "uchaarana" - pronunciation.

I wake up to this everyday and what a nliosful way to do so

  • thanks....a lot

  • Wonderful .. Thank you very much .!!

  • Nicely done.

(Anyway, I prefer my mexihca chants) xD

  • Chamakam, which is from Taittiriya Samhita 4.7, though traditionally chanted together with Satarudriyam or Namakam (TS 4.5), has NOTHING to do with Rudra or Siva.

The hymn is a litany of petitions made to Vedic deities (primarily Indra linked to others) such that vedic fire sacrifices can be performed satisfactorily.

In fact the invocation itself mentions AgnaVishnu. In this Indra can be taken as an upalakshna for "atma" (loosely applied) or the inner instrument corresponding to the yajamana.

  • very divine chanting

  • Thank u for posting such a beautiful mantra; the pictures r nice too.

  • Chamakam is a Holy Mantra Abimana Mantra to Lord Shiva ! Listen and Get HIS Blessings !!

  • It will be great if we can have english translations/transliterations for the Chamakams, Rudhrams and Namakams. The audio effect of chamakam chanting is quite stunningly beautiful. Very meditative music.

Sanskrit is the most scientific and most ancient language on Earth

Be proud of your Sanskriti/Vedic heritage

Don't let anyone destroy your great Sanskriti

Be proud that you are a Hindu because Sanatana Dharma is Eternal Truth

    Namaskar!

    Vande Mataram!

I have also started reading an English translation of the bhagavad gita.
