Hi, let me put the meaning of this chant in a single line,
Here what we are requesting from the almighty (fill in your own name, because this chant is for the one who's the begining and the end).
peace to mind, peace to land, peace to heart, longivity of self, spouce and kids, bless with a son to carry the gene, provide all the metals starting from iron, cobalt, zinc, silver, gold to
Every thing from gross to subtle in the universe is a manifestation of that which we refer to as supreme, the subtlest of all which is NOTHINGNESS is refered to as Shiva=(Shi+VA) = that which is not. The duality springs up from this singularity and goes back into singularity. If you r in touch with singularity, you will know the secrets of creation and take life to a point where your life and death is in your hands. This is the only culture where god is a tool to your mukthi/ultimate liberation.
Not just Snakes... Every animal is divine for us. Right from Rat to Elephant. Infact dogs are divine too as they are associated with Lord Kala Bairava... India has 80% Hindu population and most devout hindus hold these animals divine...
This is fascinating. Shiva has a cobra wound around his neck & he holds a trident. It's clear to me that the worshippers have a better attitude toward snakes than we (Westerners) do. Very interesting.
Can you please tell me the specific name of this recitation? Also if you can reference the specific part of Vedic Literature it comes from with mandala and sukta number, that would be most appreciated. Thanks.
What is the origin of this recording? Is it from a CD? I would very much like to learn to correctly pronounce vedic mantras and shlokas and as a novice in Sanskrit, I can't always tell the authentic recordings from the more commercial ones. Thanks.
check the video "Connexion of Mongolia-Kirat:Revealing the Mystery of Origin of Phallus Stone Worship"
The relevant video of stone worshiping in Mongolia, existence of Sivaism in China and as far as Japan and comparing with that of stone worshiping by Kiratas in Nepal shows that the worshiping of stone originated from Mongol people and not Vedic Aryan.
Kiratas find refences in Veda, Puranas and epics of ancient aryan text
Chamakam, which is from Taittiriya Samhita 4.7, though traditionally chanted together with Satarudriyam or Namakam (TS 4.5), has NOTHING to do with Rudra or Siva.
The hymn is a litany of petitions made to Vedic deities (primarily Indra linked to others) such that vedic fire sacrifices can be performed satisfactorily.
In fact the invocation itself mentions AgnaVishnu. In this Indra can be taken as an upalakshna for "atma" (loosely applied) or the inner instrument corresponding to the yajamana.
Hinduism became only bad after the Indo-Aryan assimilated other races religion into theirs.
Still today crude form of Shivaism exist, practiced by some tribe in Mongolia and Kirat people in Nepal.
Here's the video "Connexion of Mongolia-Kirat:Revealing the Mystery of Origin of Phallus Stone Worship"
and you decide!!!!
And now Christians are here in the Indian sub-continent to exploit the weaknesses of Hinduism, created by Indo-Aryan culture such as "chatur-varna"(4-class social system).

Kiratas--Mongloid in race first appear in the Yajur Veda (Shukla XXX.16; Krisha III.4,12,1), and in the Atharva Veda (X.4,14).
--->The Manusmriti identifies the Kiratas as one of the eleven tribes who inhabited the Indus-Saraswoti region.
Still today Kirat people exist in Nepal.
watch the video --> "sakela~the greatest festival of kirat people"
This festival was only recognized in 2001.
Before it was suppressed by then Nepal Hindu government.
