@sparamjit completely agree with you. I used to wait after school to watch Spider man, Gaint Robert, Tom & Jerry and Karamchand- although I didn't understand it as a kid:)
Crying after seeing this. Was 16 when this was relesed. THose were the days guys Humlog,Buniyad, nukad,Ramayan,Yeh jo hai Zindagi, 1987 world cup in india, Rakesh Sharma (1st Indian) going to Space,Spiderman,Giant Robert,Tamas,Adult movies on doordarshan on Friday nights, Kabir Serial, UGC afternoon program, Malgudi days, rangoli, world of sports,Rajini, kacchi dhoop,Vikram Aur betaal. I still remember when we purchaed tv in 1979 doordarshan used to broadcast only for 3 hours everyday from 6-9 pm.

just love this !! takes me back all the way in childhood..where DD used to be the only channel and we used to be so content with it..so patriotic this number. BRILLIANT
Guys, a small change from the way i see u guys mentioning the order...the one where u have mentioned urdu, it is not urdu, it is sindhi....sung by cricketer narender hirwani.
languages are like this order?-- kashmiri-Punjabi-urdu-rajasthani-punjabi again-tamil and then confusion then malyalam-bangla-assamese-marathi and finish
oriya,is left out while punjabi is repeated twicee.1
it is the most beautiful song i have ever heard. the video picturisation by Bharatbala is mesmerizing and evokes the greatest sense of nationalism.
the best compliment for any song can be the recall value of its music along with its lyrics. this song achieves not just them but holds a distinction for the recall value of lyrics in languages almost unknown to me (if all indian languages, i know of hindi, punjabi and urdu). i love singing the other language part too.
Grew up Listening to this song ~ It was telecasted daily on National Channel ~ I wud say this song is very Indian
