Are you stupid ? You knwo you can jump higher than Shanoa with Albus. When you are behind him, there is no need to break the arrow shooter, you can jump when his behind-sword is stopped ! And the normal attack is more powerfull than the max shot and the optical shot.

Just wondering how you've got Albus' japanese voice in this video. Is it possible to get Albus to speak japanese in the english version or did you do something tricky with your game?
It's in the ingame options screen, you can simply change the voice language option from English to Japanese, and I'm sure the JP version would also have the choice for English voices given that it was released after the US version of the game.
The English voice cast in this game is excellent though, especially Dracula.

Yeah, Patrick Seitz always does great villain voices. It's kind of funny, but I prefer English voice Albus on Albus mode, but Japanese voice when I'm fighting him.
How is it that when you're fighting him, he doesn't lunge back with his tail and sword at the same time like he keeps doing to me, you can't even dodge that except by Warping (I assume) but he always catches me that way. Often I get hit simply by him moving and his shoulder just hits me for no reason.
I'm not sure what attack is it you're referring but watch my Shanoa video of this battle, if I'm correct, he performed all his attacks for normal mode in that video.
You'll probably have to get lucky if he swings his sword back. His "tells" are very subtle when you're on top. The best approach is to just spam your shots-- if you do enough damage to him he groans and will lean back (so stay at the very left edge). That way, you'll have very few, if any, other attacks to worry about.
I am playing Albus mode lvl 1 hard mode. The arrow shoot in fast pace. I am still figuring out the best way to defeat him in my lvl 1 form with my optical shot and up+X only deal him 19 and 29 dmg only.
Well, concerning the arrows, your flaming kick (default A button) will deflect any arrows that hit you in the process. It actually looks pretty badass
Fighting Eligor with the english voice was pretty funny. If you input the moves correctly, you can get him to say what sounds like "Optical Smack Shot!".

Go into the normal menu with your shanoa game and change it there. I have the Us version also with japanese voices. Somehow it works.

Yes that's for the shanoa's jap voice, but for Albus, there's no solution to play with jap voices... but to play with the jap game =(
