John, I think this is the singularly most creative and best model train video I've ever seen. I'd like to know how you did the seemless editing when you linked the trains together. Very nice. Ken Lua

Thanks Ken, that is quite a compliment. For the coupling and ,similarly, the uncoupling shots I used a tripod to keep the camera still, then just did one long shoot, keeping 1 hand on the controller while uncoupling the cars w/ the other hand or throwing the switches. Then I cut out the parts where you can see me using my hands, and joined it all together.

@chiconian49 Thanks Chuck. I had a basic outline in mind for plot. The filming and editing was done in the 1 week before Easter.

I actually was surprised and enjoyed the creative process especially when certain things just fell into place. The most challenging part for me was to match the film to the music while including the ideas/shots I wanted to show.
