Hmmm .... since an outside, nearly limitless energy 'source' (wind) is used, wouldn't this mask any ZPE that might happen to be produced?

Is there sufficient instrumentation (with sufficient accuracy and recently calibrated by a lab with standards traceable to NIST) in the apparatus to differentiate between ZPE produced versus the 'wind' power input?

Thats funny, I have a working magnetic motor with absolutely no electronic input sitting on my desk. It took 20 minutes to build with a CD and CD hub, about 80 magnets, some glue and a spindle. Yup I just checked, It's still turning.

One can build easily a small table top free energy device with a hobby motor, some magnets, some super glue, a coffee can lid, a small light to demonstrate output, and a bit of wire. I have one of these devices in front of me running now. There is a video (or there WAS) of how you can put one of these devices together in about an hour or less.

Saying perpetual motion machines are impossible because a magnetic field by itself can't perform work is like saying "I am santa claus, therefore the moon is not made of cheese." True, the moon is not made of cheese, but it is not a consequence of the first part of the statement, nor is the first part of the statement even true at all. The magnetic field around an inductor (a coil of wire), when it collapses, provides the energy that keeps the current going when you try to interrupt it.

this isn't intended to start an argument, but would you mind explaining your reasoning? if an electron with constant velocity relative to a magnetic field enters the magnetic field, it will experience a force from the magnetic field, which alone performs work on the electron. so magnetic fields alone may perform work.

Magnetic fields DO contain energy, which DO perform work.

If both positive and negative work are equivalant and exacting moments, the net result is zero gain - no motion. Work is still being performed by the magnetic field.

Greetings! You have brought up a good point: why the conductor, or the magnetic field, must also *MOVE* before an electric current is created. It is not enough to place a conductor inside a magnetic field: that does not work because if it did work it would create energy (in the form of flowing electrons) out of nothing.
