@Rsinal331 yes and no. you need a nurse if you are from out of town and have no one to stay with you for one night. basically, you just need a companion for one night for medico-legal reasons and for your safety. after that, not technically. there should be very little after care.
Thanks for the video. Quick Question: I will be traveling over seas in 10 weeks...If I get the surgery done next week, how long will it take before most of the swelling goes down? Would you suggest against the surgery seeing how I will have only 9 weeks to travel after I get it done? Please let me know! Thanks.
@Codename067 hi, obviously, if i am not your surgeon (which i do not think i am since i am doing a chin implant this friday but not next week as far as i know) i cannot speak for another surgeon. you must ask him. every surgeon has different recovery periods and different advice for after care. best of luck with it.
@samlammd From your expertise, roughly, how long does it takes for major swelling to heal down? Lets assume the procedure used is the one that has the slowest recovering/longest swelling time. I will not be able to talk to my Doc. for another 4 days, so anything from you is highly appreciated. Thanks!
@mikialjan great question. the reason for wrapping the patient for one night is only if i performed neck lipocontouring work, which i did in this patient. if i don't, i don't typically wrap the patient. the wrap is to limit the chance of a hematoma. after one night, it comes off. also, i use an extended long implant that can at times cause a little more swelling so the wrap for one night helps with some of the swelling.
Nice video. The chin looks really good. I had my chin done also but my surgeon cut and moved my chin. Lot more recovery time but I had upper jaw surgery at the same time. Any way thanks for sharing your video I subbed you.
just wondering if u have a snoring problem? because i may need to get this done but if your find that you are not snoring anymore i would love to know because i dont want them to brake my jaw and reposition it

In your opinion; would you need a care-taker after getting the surgery to look after you for the first few days?

Ughhh... I want one so bad. :( They are too expensive though. I'm gonna have to see if I can take out a loan for one.

chin implants don't help snoring. only a jaw advancement will do that. sorry.

Could I ask how did people react after surgery? Did they know what happened?
zawam 2 years ago
generally, a great chin implant is "undetectable". people should just think something about you looks good but won't be able to figure it out.

she is hot!
:D
i've been thinking about getting one for about 3 years now.
once i'm 18 i'll probably get it, along with some other things.
