I mean, there's no contesting the genius of both men, but I understand the no-likes.  Lets face it, with Frank Sinatra there, My Way is definitely a jazz standard. And Pavarotti, God bless him, probably sings this in the most un-hip, un-jazzy way I could ever imagine. Honestly, Pavarotti's choice to slide up to the 5th on that last chord is so un-stylistic that jazz lover would have good reason to click dislike.

I don't agree. I love both Elvis and Sinatra to death, but I gotta hand this one down to Sinatra - he had a certain kind of oldschool class and mannerism that Elvis lacked; this song was simply MADE to be performed by either Sinatra or Paul Anka.

That said, no one can sing Elvis's song like Elvis.
