  • It's God doing the saving ike. Not you or me. And since He is perfect, He did it right the first time. Can't we just leave it at that?

  • Salvation is not a form of bondage, but is freedom. I don't understand why this is hard to understand. It is a free gift. Not form of bondage. “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

  • “He who believes in Me shall NEVER thirst.” John 6:35 “I give eternal life to them, and they shall NEVER perish.” John 10:28 “And everyone who lives and believes in Me shall NEVER die.” John 11:26 “I will NEVER desert you, nor will I ever forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5 So you see, our salvation is based on Him and never us or anything we say or do. I have answered your question with scripture and exegesis. You are deliberately denying His word.

  • If you are saved, you are part of the church. You become His bride and though we may turn our back on Him, He remains the faithful bridegroom. We are His body, and He gave himself for the church (His body). We become the body of Jesus and there is nothing that can undue that.

  • @gallantentry You are using words and not scripture. Also, if salvation is like a marriage then it also includes divorce. If not then salvation being called a marriage is also a lie because not all that a marriage is, is included.

So I ask the same question again. Is salvation bondage or not?

  • @ikester7579 The church is the bride and Christ is the bridegroom. God does not believe in divorce. He will never forsake us. "He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled." Jn 3:29 "Revelation 19:7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready" Rev. 19:7 continued.

  • @ikester7579 I hate divorce," says the LORD God of Israel, "and I hate a man's covering himself with violence as well as with his garment," says the LORD Almighty. So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith. Malachi 2:16 He said to them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. Matthew 19:8 He remains married to our backside. So the relationship between Christ and His church is the picture of marriage.

  • @ikester7579 “And all the circumcised believers who had come with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out upon the Gentiles also.” Acts 10:44

here we see that the Holy Spirit is a gift of God and since so, the Holy Spirit is irrevocable and neither can be taken away, nor “walked away” from for any reason. (See also Acts 2:38 for another “gift of the Holy Spirit”.) “that He may be with you forever.”John 14:16

  • @ikester7579 How many times must I answer your question? I specifically said, "no...it is freedom". At least 3 times. But it is freedom from the law and the effects of it. I already showed this to you scripturally, now it is up to you to seek the truth. You can use google searches to confirm these verses. try e-sword.

  • @gallantentry You answered the question indirectly, not directly as you have now. So if salvation is freedom, then the choice to leave it must be a freewill choice as well. Not being able to make that choice is bondage period. No choice = bandage. What is so hard to understand about a simple explanation?

Example: If I cannot choose to leave then I am bound. If I am bound I am in bondage. God does not want people in Heaven that were forced to be there, Heaven is not a place of captivity.

  • Let me put it to you a different way by example. Angels can be thrown out of Heaven, but why cannot the same be thrown out of Hell? Think about it, Sin is about total bondage, therefore Hell is a place of captivity. Heaven is a place of freewill choice so you can leave if you like as some already have, Understand? So if you make salvation a covenant of captivity, you are doing it wrong. By freewill choice you can leave which equals losing salvation.

  • @ikester7579 Angels are no man. We are in the flesh and will be until death. Angels are not subject to temptation as we are. Angels had seen God and were always in His presence. There is no comparison by standard. They don't get weary or tired etc. It is said that we will teach the Angels in heaven. So, let us resolve that we cannot compare them to us. When we get to heaven we will not be in the flesh and we won't have the same temptations we are subjected to now. We will be perfected in Christ.

  • @gallantentry We were created a little lower than the angels. If they can be tossed out of Heaven, so can we. If you think that because of salvation that you are above the angels then you have turned salvation into a form of humanism.

Also, if we cannot be compared to them, why did the Bible do it?

But let's get back to the subject of the video. Do you think the unforgivable sin can block someone from obtaining salvation?

  • @ikester7579 The only unforgivable sin is to reject God's salvation through Jesus. And if we are free, we are free indeed.

Again, we are sealed with the Spirit. We cannot walk away from even salvation even if we chose to, which is a strange and archaic presumption because if we know the truth, why would we willfully walk into the pit of hell?

  • @gallantentry I don't know what denomination teaches you that, but the main unforgivable sin is blaspheming the Holy Ghost.

mk 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.

lk 12:10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

    Do you deny scripture?

  • @ikester7579 Of course I don't deny scripture. Lets put those verses in context so we can see the full picture. The Holy Ghost's job is what? To convict the world of sin. When when the Pharisees witnessed Jesus performing miracles, their hearts were so hardened by sin that they resorted to saying He was doing them in the power of Satan. They were rejecting Jesus as the Messiah, the Saviour. No matter what miracle, wonder or sign that Jesus did was enough to convince them of who He was.

  • @ikester7579 ...They hardened their hearts to the Holy Spirit's ministry of convicting the heart as a Witness to testify to them that Jesus was the Son of God. That is what the unforgivable sin is,,,rejecting Jesus as Saviour. There is no sin that the blood of Jesus can'y cleanse us from.

  • @gallantentry You are adding to the Word what is not written. You reason to make the Word conform to your osas doctrine. My doctrine does not require this because the Word of God supports it. You have failed to convince me because you have to stray away from the word constantly to make your osas doctrine fit. That shows it's a doctrine of man and not a doctrine supported by God's Word.

  • @ikester7579 Not adding anything. Read the story yourself.

  • @ikester7579 You are either not a Christian at all, or are a very shallow one who lacks wisdom.

  • @xhemexx What I find funny about your comment is that is all you osas believers can do is judge others because of your lack of being able to defend what you believe. I think that you like the idea that those people who do the blasphemy challenge are going to hell, and that this sin has more power than Christ's shed blood. So apply what you believe and everyone that does that challenge goes to hell and sin becomes stronger than salvation. Apply what I believe and it all gets reversed.

  • I don't think you understand what the law's purpose is so I will tell you. The law is like a mirror; it shows us our filth. It reveals to our hearts our sinful nature. But once you receive Christ as Saviour, you are dead to the law. "For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God." Galatians 2:19 Christ gives us freedom from the effects of the law which is death (spiritual which is eternal). We become alive in Christ.

  • @gallantentry I see that you won;t answer the question. The question that makes you face the reality of what you believe does to salvation. So I will ask it again, and again, and again until you do.

Is salvation bondage or not? Yes or no?

  • @ikester7579 I answered the question. Look again!

  • @ikester7579 Salvation is freedom from eternal punishment specifically. see Galatians 2:9

  • @ikester7579 He it is that makes the saints free from sin; not from the being of it in this life, but from the bondage and servitude of it, from its power and dominion, and from its guilt and liableness to punishment for it, by procuring the pardon of their sins through his blood, and justifying their persons by his righteousness: he also makes them free, or delivers them from the captivity of Satan.

  • @gallantentry Your refusal to answer a simple yes or no question tells me that you know that what you believe makes salvation into bondage.. It's just that simple. It was not a trick question, but you knew that I could match the truth of that answer to what you believe so you ignore it, You will have to answer to preferring a lie over truth, It's been clearly show to you, I have done my job here and cannot force you to see what you prefer to ignore,

  • When you say that we need to manage and keep our salvation, you are in great err (sinning) because you are minimizing the blood of Jesus and it's cleansing power, it's atoning power. You are also calling the Holy Spirit a liar and that is not good. If you are sealed, than you can do nothing to unseal what God sealed.

  • You won't get the reply you would like as Ikester is a master of slight of hand and will never answer you straight up.

  • Teaching like this give Satan more power and robs Jesus of His perfect sacrifice. There is no sin that the precious blood of Jesus cannot cover! He has the victory. We shouldn't be glorifying in ourselves by insisting we can lose our salvation. The only unforgivable sin is to reject God's gift of salvation through His Son.

  • @gallantentry mk 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.

lk 12:10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

The Word disagrees with you. But should the word conform to your osas belief as to ignore what was clearly said? Which is right, the Word or your doctrine of osas?

  • @gallantentry Also, Christ's blood was shed only once to forgive sin so we can enter into the covenant. It is not shed again and again to forgive sin after we are saved because Christ is not an ongoing sacrifice. It is grace and mercy that is extended to us after salvation to cover our sins. So the Blood gets us in, grace and mercy helps us stay in. Christ being an ongoing sacrifice is a a catholic teaching. Which denies what Christ said: It is finished. Ongoing sacrifice means its not finished

  • @gallantentry These verses were written to believers. Those who were in Christ Jesus and it is a confirmation that one can never lose the gift of salvation.

  • @ikester7579 In the Book of Hebrews it speaks against those who try to keep their own salvation through works or the law. The Hebrews were still 'keeping the law' and refusing the sacrifice Jesus offered. Maybe people confuse Hebrews by believing the opposite. But the truth is, it is actually saying that one cannot lose their salvation and to stop with the law keeping and live in the power of the Holy Spirit. (the law is written on the hearts of men.)

  • @ikester7579 Furthermore, it is a sin to try to keep your own salvation. It demeans Jesus' perfect sacrifice. We can no more keep our salvation anymore than we can earn it. Jesus paid it ALL. To HIM be ALL the praise and Glory. Quit trying to earn your keep...it's a sin.

  • @ikester7579 "But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." Romans 4:5

This verse very clearly shows how we obtain Christs' imputed righteousness. We place our trust in His finished work. We believe that He is risen from the grave and seated on the right hand of God. This is the ONLY way to please God. "But without faith it is impossible to please him..." Hebrews 11:6a. The only way we can please God is through faith!

  • @ikester7579 You are confusing sanctification with salvation. God is not slack concerning His promises. He is faithful...and we have the promise of Jesus completing His work in us unto the day of redemption. This is God's promise. He is the One who gives us our salvation and keeps us saved. When God looks at me, He sees me as perfectly Holy because He sees the precious blood of Jesus. Yu can't get anymore saved than that!!!

  • @gallantentry Is salvation bondage or not? Captives free does not = no choice to change your mind.

Is salvation bondage or not? Yes or no?

No choice = bondage period. If no one can lose it, then it takes away freewill choice. No choice = bondage. Sorry, I'm not in bondage to Christ. I am saved and choose to stay that way. I am not saved and in bondage to stay that way. No choice = bondage, what part of that do you not understand?

  • @ikester7579 or ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Cor. 6:20 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 1v Peter 1:18

  • @ikester7579 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. Hebrews 6:6

  • @ikester7579 In these verses, the Hebrews were still offering sacrifices (works) to keep themselves saved. This is a warning to us to live by faith in God and to quit trying to work for our salvation. It is a sin brother.

  • @gallantentry So now the truth comes out. All works are now sin. So I must go delete all my online ministries where I work, by the way, and basically tell everyone to go to Hell because I'm not sinning trying to save them because it's a work. Is that what I need to do to convert to your type of salvation? Man, your doctrine is really messed up.

And about Hebrews, you can use that excuse at the throne to tell God that Hebrews is void because it does not conform to your doctrine.

  • @ikester7579 Hebrews was written to Jews who were still sacrificing at altars. You are confused. Yes it applies most definitely. It is telling us to rest in God's promises through the finished work of Jesus. You misunderstood me. I never said anything about Hebrews not applying to us.

  • @ikester7579 I answered this with scripture. I will again. "I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him." Ecc. 3:14 So you see, if God saves you, it is forever. It cannot be undone no matter what. I will add another verse in another comment box.

  • @ikester7579 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38,39. These verses are clear are they not? Nothing means nothing. That includes you me or anyone. But if someone is truly saved, it would make no sense to try and denounce your own salvation.

  • @ikester7579 Even if a person went insane and 'denounced' the gift of salvation, they couldn't because once a person is covered in the blood of Christ, they are sealed...period.

  • @ikester7579 "As for you also, by the blood of your covenant I have sent forth your prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water." Zech. 9:11 "And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." Ephesians 4:30. Once God seals you, it's a permanent and can never be undone.

  • @gallantentry I don;t adhere to doctrines that come off of false teachings. What I believe on this adheres to God's word. If it did not, you'd be using God's word to show me and not pulling doctrines from the osas teachings out of you hat. Example: If I said: But you don;t understand this, and I use what came from my teachings instead of God's word. What point did I make? nothing. Use God's word. If you cannot you just reaffirm what I already know.

  • @gallantentry I don;t mind correction. I want truth to the point that being corrected is what I look for. But if you are going to use everything else besides God's word, you pretty much are wasting your time.

Example: How are you supposed to test for truth? Use God's word or teachings that came of of man's doctrines? God is going to judge us by His word, not what yours or my denomination says.

  • @gallantentry Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

  • @gallantentry I guess when someone makes you face the reality of what you believe, you quit posting.

I'll ask again. Is salvation bandage or not?

It's a very simple yes or not question. If it makes you realize something that scares you, we can talk about it in private if you like.

  • @ikester7579 Salvation is freedom from the eternal effects of sin. I avoiding your question, I just never saw it.

  • @gallantentry I wasn't avoiding....

  • @ikester7579 I agree, it was shed once for sin. That is why you cannot lose salvation. Someone cannot be baptized into the body but once, and once they are part of the body it is sealed. I wonder if you know the difference between a covenant and a contract because a covenant is forever unconditionally. Grace gets us in and they also keep us in. The blood is the atonement sacrifice that covers our sin. Christ's shed blood is grace towards all men. We need only to receive it.

  • @ikester7579 You need to use proper exegesis in these verses as well as the context. The Pharisees were trying to say that Jesus was performing works (miracles) through the power of Satan. To blaspheme against the Holy Ghost is to reject the truth because it is through the work of the Holy Ghost that the truth is revealed. This has nothing to do with losing someone's salvation. It was spoken to non-believers who were hardening their heart to the Holy Spirit.

  • That cap looks gangstah.

  • This video is not a challenge to the blasphemy challenge. It's to show that one popular doctrine actually gives the blasphemy challenge the power to do what they do, while the other does not.

The the atheists who think I am putting up the video with the main idea to challenge you, you would be wrong. I am challenging those who believe a certain way that gives power to what you guys do. Notice no once saved always saved people are posting.

  • The reason that people do the blasphemy challenge is that they are challenging the irrational beliefs of the bible.

  • @connerjd

There are other ways. Would you want me to burn Darwins book or debate it? One is hateful the other is not.. so which do you think blasphemy is? Might as well burn the Bible. Then again you can search "bible burning" here on youtube. It's already being done. I guess anything hateful is okay as long as your points are made, correct?

  • Blasphemy is a victimless crime.

  • @RationalConclusion

To an understanding adult. But to a child who does not understand you might as well have raped them.

  • I have no idea what you mean. Your comment doesn't make any sense. What are you saying?

  • You have completely missed the point. None of us are actually trying to condemn anybody to hell. There is no hell, god blah blah....

Grow up and have a go at thinking like an adult.

  • @SkepticalFist

Then you are wasting your time because being an atheist doing these things proves what?

Example: I don't believe in Ghost, do I go out and join a A-ghost group? Do I waste my time and money fighting something I say does not exist?

The fight you fight proves that God is, or you would not be fighting. Or you would have to admit that you don't even have enough faith in what you claim that you have to fight and "invisible" being. So who is the adult here? LOL

  • The fight is not with God, that would be ridiculous. The fight is against religion. Look around the world. Look at the bombs going off and tearing families apart. Who's name are those bombs being planted in.

These outdated campfire tales are a thing of humanities past and tragically they could very well be limiting its future.

    Do you understand?

I apologise for being rude to you in my last post, i should not have been disrespectful.

  • @SkepticalFist

That's the biggist copout I have ever heard. Where are the atheist forums against Allah, buddha, etc...? Atheism is a belief solely against the Christian God. All one has to do to prove this is just Google atheism God, and atheism and any other God and see.

How many Allah or buddha forums have you belonged to to disprove their god?

How many Christian forums have you belonged to, ot disprove the Christian God?

Your point is mute, but nice try,

  • @ikester7579

Not the case. I have been against all gods since i got involved. This is a new channel, my last one got knocked down by a two flagging campaigns. One by islamists and another christians. Youtube search "draw mohammed day" and you will see the latest drive against islam. That is the Islam version of the blasphemy challenge. Check it out.

There might be more action against christianity, but you would expect that in countries which are predominately christian. No?

  • @SkepticalFist

Why would I approve of hate like this? In fact, what would you say is the final goal? O yeah, as the person who runs this says: To wipe Christianity off the face of this planet in 10 years or less. Now how do you wipe the face of a planet of people who don't and won't agree with you? You do what Hitler did. Or would you explain another way for us to see>

  • @ikester7579

I am not such a hardliner, but even that person is talking about the beliefs and not the people.

In so much of the world people are told there is only one book. I just want everybody to have the same chance to find out that there are millions of books. That's all.
