the iphone 2g and 3g only has 400mhz processor G1 on the other hand has a 528mhz processor and the iphone screen cracks horribly and the outer shell cracks and scratches, go GOOGLE it and see what im talking about. G1 has multi touch but they never enabled it because apple asked them not to. g1 screen is glass and doesn't scratch. i had an iphone and the wifi chip burned out because 2.2.1 speed it up and burns it, its also on apples website. iphone is a good phone G1 is an outstanding phone!

My G1 has a tiny lil scratch on the screen, I dont know how it got there, but I've dropped it on the concrete so many times, and put it in my pocket with my keys,, my cousin dropped his iphone 3g once and his screen shattered.... less than a month after he got it

The iPhone is awesome granted but the G1 is good too. The problem with the iPhone is that its too dam expensive and the deals just arnt out there but... its an amazing phone. With the G1 you dont have to pay for all the extra applications, you can customise it further and its got better package deals. Dam... I cant decide!!! : )

the iphone has also been out ALOT longer that the G1. Although the iPhone is a great device there is one thing that really holds it back... ATT.

I test drove the G1 today and I loved it. It uses a linux based OS (Android). It is totally different from the iphone. In fact, I kind of like it better. It is super sharp, you can choose your own background and it has a hardware keyboard. The apps will grow for it I am sure.

congrads behold also has gps, internet, touch screen, 5 mega pixel camera. plus it has more onboard memory than the g1 has. the phySical keeboard makes the g1 too think . i can txt just as fast on the touch screen as someone can on the physical keyboard.

you people seem to forget, G1 is still a new phone and has bugs and things to work out. iphone was horrible when it FIRST came out as far as performance goes, why do you think its on like...5th generation software already? When devices are new it always takes about a year to iron out the wrinkles. iphone has been out for a while now. comparing it to a G1 is like comparing a new version of Windows to Windows XP.
