ups and downs. He carried me when my young wife died in a car crash. Carried me when my oldest son died. When sorrow like a physical wave would come over me His warmth and kindness was so present. But more than these "great" moments, He helps me each day, changing me to be the man He intended me to be. Each moment and every moment that I live in His presence. It all began with one answered prayer so long ago. So, to the young man so long ago who said, "Jesus loves you",, thank you, He has.

Just saying I love you means nothing if you dont respond to that saying with doing all that you can do to please Jesus. All Jesus wants is your heart. And that means all of who you are. Everything. I have gone through that emotional rollercoaster of worrying if I don't feel as close, even though I want His will. Stop taking your spiritual temperature each moment. He loves you, I can tell you love Him. Just trust. He will change your emotions. You are perfect now. An apple in May is not the apple it will be in August, but it is a perfect apple for May! Sometimes I feel close to Him, sometimes I don't, but I have learned to trust in those situations. We are to walk by faith beloved. I know when I draw near to Him, He does draw near to me. His word says He does. Just tell Him how you feel and trust Him to change your emotions. He knows what is needed for each of us at every season in our lives. Take time to talk to Him, and Trust!.

I feel so ashamed of myself, although Im convinced of His love for me, my heart does not seem to respond to his love as other people do. I feel as if I love Jesus with all my mind but not my heart :(
I want to offer Him my heart but I cannot transform my own heart, I need His help. I want to be passionate for Him but I fail to do so :( and this makes me feel miserable because its like telling Jesus that what he did for us isn't enough..this makes me feel so guilty and ashamed and unworthy :(

For a few years I've experienced doubt... I've longed to hear and see God, and I couldn't feel Him. I let go of trying to hear Him, and instead told God that even if I didn't feel anything that I would choose to love Him. I told Him that I couldn't pull myself out of doubt, that I couldn't hear Him no matter what I did - and so I asked for Him to speak to me and show Himself to me such that I COULDN'T mistake it... He's been speaking to me and showing His love since then like stories intheBible.

@herecometrouble1994 Brother I wish I could tell you that your troubles with honoring your mother and family and your battles with lust were beaten over night but that's not the case. The case is this. Christ will beat those sins in the end. Don't be discouraged. Focus on the salvation of Jesus and that he is renewing us daily. We are becoming more like Jesus, and if you fall down pick yourself up and keep following HIS cross. Lust is every man and womans battle today.

I even have trouble with these problems. with the absence of God in that empty void in your heart, we tend to fill it with other things. but ultamately, God is bigger than those things and He will fill that emptiness with love and his spirit. God is more than those problems and past mistakes. I pray for those who struggle with families and lust. i pray for a breakthrough of these struggle and God, just fill their hearts with You.

The beginning of this song, word for word, is exactly what I feel right now. I was so close to God two years ago, and ever since then I've been kind of slipping away and trying to get back on track. I'm such a great pretender that everything is alright with me and God when it's not. I've doubted His love for me so many times, so often. I'm His daughter forever. His love for me will never end. That would be like me saying there will be (fill in the blank) happening, in this city, etc.. And coming true! The bible gets major historical facts wrong (world wide flood, slaves leaving Egypt, times and names of historical figures, etc). In addition we see fabricated prophecies in the NT, miss applying prophecies that occurred in the OT to try to shoe horn Jesus into them dishonestly and even Jesus himself making prophecies that failed to come true. Given that we know the gospels were copied and not written by anyone who met Jesus, well it's a bunch of bullshit.

In addition a number of the so called prophecies were written after the events happened for political and religious reasons. So the prophecies were fiction, they were made up to apply to political figures at the time. So no more mysterious then prophecies that occur in movies or books today.

Christ is Savior of the obedient (Hebrews 5:9). If we love Jesus, we'll keep His commandments (John 14:15). Relationship and Obedience = Pure Religion and True Worship. Life has been so difficult recently. I'm in my first year of college and one of my close friends recently committed suicide. I have never felt so very, very alone. I'm losing it. I can't focus on my homework, I feel absolutely no motivation for anything. Cutting, drinking, smoking, bulimia--I've been empty for so long.
Today, I've repeated this song over and over and over again. It's beautiful, but I don't feel God's presence like I used to. So hopeless.

And I know that I am not the only one God is reaching out to with this song! Today I asked my mom why trouble seamed to fallow me, and she told me something that changed my life. She said that god has better plans for me and it was his way of letting me know. Too many TIMES we take matters into our own hands. And too many TIMES we think it's ok to be like the world as long as we know we're going to heaven. Too many TIMES we forget that God has a plan for us.

Hey Im a homeschooled teenager, Iv gotta speech problem thats so depressing. Somebody please HELP.

Pray to God! Moses had a speech problem, but that did not stop him from following God's will for him. Pray to God about it. Look it up in Exodus 4:10. I know that disabilities make life more difficult, but with God's help, you can achieve anything! My boyfriend is blind, and he also struggles with things that everybody takes for granted, but with God's help, he is very successful. Pray!
