I never liked the sound of a 4 cylinder motor, but this one sounds pretty damn good. This video just proves we can build more than V8's like everyone thinks. Beautiful Notchback!
@bigphatz78537 turbo is more efficient, and is easier to adjust between street and track use. It can definitely make more power, depending on your application and how well the system is designed
the longer you drive the more speed it picks up, he obviously doesnt stay the same speed as when he passed the line, you can't just double the 1/8th mile time makes no sense...
no my friend that was a 2.3 you just hear the sound of that other V-8 monster on the side of him, when you own 1 you know what they sound like an he had one, good run by the way, keep up the good work
Ranger cam--retarded 4 degrees, 255 intank with #6 lines, Aeroquipe FP regulator, la3, 8.8 and 3.55's, stock 86 TC 5-speed turbo running 20#, starion front mount IC(GN install underway), underdrive pulley, msd Digital 6 - only help with the launch, 6*10.5*15 E.T. streets
i got a 85 turbo coupe thunderbird....and a 2.3 mustang 88 year...lookin forward to doin a engine swap but to much electrical stuff goin on in the mustang...the tc runs like butter so i might jus keep it
well its not my car, its a friends but im pretty much running the same setup as him, its started with a 2.5 stroked block a Holset HX35 with a custom FMIC and a roller cam and that should easily get you into the low 11's high 10's
thats sick man .. wat kinda setup you have? i have the same car but im clueless on to what setup i could use to get the most out of the little 2.3..any suggestions? and what exhuast do you have installed?

That was his first car too. He sold that and moved on. He did a RX7 that made 420rwhp at total engine airflow and it went 10.80's in the 1/4mile.
Then he sold it and went with a toyota starlet with a built "i think 3TC". What ever the stock motor was. It's a rowdy little ride.

I agree 1/8 mile to 1/4 mile is diffrent I have seen 1/8 mile cars that run 7s run 15 in the 1/4 it all has to do with the way the car is set up.
