This is an objectively terrible mix. The singing isn't very well done, the lyrics are shallow and generic, the background music is horribly synced up to the vocal section.

You can completely ignore the fact that this has anything to do with Secret of Mana, this just isn't good on it's own merits.

@Setzergabbini As much you might not like the style/juxtaposition of this Acapella over the instrumental, the acapella IS synced just fine. I could literally put this along a click track at the appropriate bpm and it'll follow the metronome just fine. haha. Critique the sonic-aesthetic all you want, cause that's what's truly objectionable....music.... but timing? the timing is just fine.
