@sparta814 Ebinuma-san(planner on ALL of the technos/Million DD titles) explained that while in planning for DDA, the company decided to go with the cheapest and smallest GBA romcart that they could buy. which was 256MB, so they sadly had to cut out alot that they planned so it would fit.
The Double Dragon series...one of the very few series that I can think of besides Street Fighter or Final Fantasy where the music is just as classic as the games themselves.
@supersmashbro596 I know mate but I loved it in double dragon 2 and to hear it again, you know that warm feeling u get from a game where you lose yourself in it. I had that and sadly you don't get that as much as u used too in games.
@hickstar2k yes i hear ya. im surrounded by noobs who like to kill for fun. while dd is a great game with tons of action, the music got my attention. when i was in 3rd grade my friend had an nes, and we played double drago. we both got our asses handed to us. but the second stages music i remember fondly in my head. and now i relived that bit with gba,
gba: the closest to the glory days were ever gonna get.
Epic stuff is still made. You should check some of the top games lists some people put together. Many new tracks are definitely equal to this. Just that most of them tend to get ignored by the majority of "let's play a game where we kill stuff" kind of people.
@laughingfurry i agree... i like killin stuff as much as the next guy... but what about a good platformer like dkcr and/or nsmb wii? they get shoved off thanks to jerkoff games like halo and cod.
I actually like CoD and Halo, but mostly with objective gameplay. The whole run and gun get's boring after a while, so I like modes such as capture the flag and domination. Though, certain modes in CoD I don't bother with anymore simply because of the "let's kill stuff" people making things frustrating. I might try again when my friends are on, but not with strangers again.
But yeah, good platforming as well as racing is alot of fun as well.
Just to add to what I said, I find it funny we are bringing up FPS and Platformers, but not brawlers like Double Dragon and Streets of Rage. I sometimes wonder why there aren't more brawlers like these anymore. Like, there's fighting games and Guilty Gear did make an attempt at it, which could've been better, imo. However, no straight up brawler or, like Console DD games, brawler with vs fighter. I think more fighters should try that.
I wouldn't want to see it. I would like to see Double Dragon get the same make over that Turtles in Time got, but I wouldn't want a whole new 3D brawler. It may come out like Dynasty Warriors or Nanobreaker.
I really don't say it's a matter of generation difference. As I've said, I do enjoy the new games just as much as the old games. I just see it as most of the newer games that have great music aren't recognized by some people. Granted, one of the songs from Civilization 4 did get a major award (I think a Grammy, I don't recall) but there's still alot of tracks from newer games people ignore. Well, at least youtubers like PeanutButterGamer, DarthiPanda, and SupraDarky mention them.
Million was really cheap when they produced this version =|
