Martin Sheen, my god what a wonderful man he was awesome in this interview, open, honest willing to ge 2 steps furthur to involve the audience and entertain just brilliant!
look all I said was I thought it was funny and yeah some people might find it offensive but thats their own problem not mine so dont give out to me for thinking a comedy show was funny like i thought the sign was just funny thats it I never even thought of it in a sexist way I just thought it was funny because it was so random thats all
hey lighten up its a comedy chat show not lets offend daily nd quite frankly if your offended by that you should be looking up barney the dinosaur not graham norton
don't be a jerk. Graham walks a fine line in his comedy, and sometimes people get offended. someone who has suffered from bulimia probably finds those jokes to be upsetting and distasteful, just as a female can be upset about someone telling a women in power to get back to 'women' things. they have a right to feel that way (and a reason) so show some respect please.
I genuinely don't want to be jack ass, but i'd be remiss if I didn't say - "Iron My Shirt" isn't funny or classic. It's incredibly offensive. And I'm surprised Graham Norton considered it acceptable to make light of it. If someone had held a sign at an Obama rally the read "Pick My Cotton" or "Shine My Shoes" few would say it was funny. I can take a joke as well as the next guy, but that wasn't a joke - it was misogyny, disrespect and discrimination.
"Iron My Shirt" is different from the racist ones because its not really that bad because their is a line in comedy and it dose not cross it several other jokes could however
I think they are laughing at the ludicrousness of someone holding up a sign like that, not because they genuinely think what the sign said is funny. But Graham can get severally flippant about some very offensive material.
@Splurge24 I didn't love that joke, but it's the nutcracker that I hated, and you can see that Martin Sheen didn't like it either. There are still a lot of "ball buster" jokes in the US about Hillary. I found her disappointing as my senator, and I voted for Obama, but I still get angry when she's criticized not for her work but for being a strong woman. It's the same b.s. the suffragettes got too.
He was so nice going upto the audience shaking their hands. 2 of my mates were in college with him and said he was the soundest most decent guy anybody could ever meet.
please judge america on on views like martin sheen has because that is what the rational americans share....i only say this in case the rest of the world thinks that all americans support the horrible shit bush does/did, when in truth if mccain was elected the only news from america the rest of the world would be receiving is the on going 2nd american revolution
the best bit has to be around 2:10 when ed goes on about how martin sheen wont be the only person to have had a nut in the eye on the graham norto show..that was immense hehe
my friends first term at nuig and martin sheen was there!he bummed a cigarette off her friend outside a lecture one day-its possibly the coolest story she has ever told me!
@ekneeley Agreed 100%! Graham and Ed are both hilariously quirky and witty and Sheen is so sincere and geniune. No wonder he's the 'poster-child' for marriage!
At 1:40 Martin Sheen's face is PRICELESS.
