  • obviosly thats not 100 lb. x2 just sayin

  • @cantcatchthis100 Hey buddy. Yes it was 100lbs. Those are 25lb weights and 2 1/2 on each side with a 45lb bar. He did this about 3 or 4 years ago. He is 13 now. Check out his other vids. He has several AAU powerlifting records.

  • to bad his arms are half a footshort... stubby

  • good work kid, keep working and you will be strong as me

  • @StophDnB do you even lift weight.....if so have you not tried a max rep befor....ever heard of pwer lifting..

  • ADDED DRUGS!

    NOT NATURAL!

  • ooooooo thats cooool

  • thats not 100lbs

  • hes body will be fucked up by the time he reaches age-15

  • People are soooo fucking stupid, they think lifting will stunt your growth, ice been liftin since i was 7 and im taller than both my parents

  • @RidgeWrestler2014 I KNOW! i hate it when people say "weight lift will stunt your growth" if anything it would help if you eat properly.

  • @melikecookies1000 exactly! im glad not everyone on here is stupid haha height matters on genetics not on if you weight lift

  • he looks really short

  • he didnt even get low enough on his squat

  • No offense but you're going to stunt his growth man.

  • @AJPepsi weight lifting don't stunt the growth!

  • i did that when i was 7

  • this kid is going to mess up somethin if he keeps that up at that age.

  • @10neffy1

Yep not good at all on the body to work out that young. Hell I know kids that worked out like crazy in the sixth grade and middle school at 12-13 years old and none of them are tall their all short.

  • Wow. I'm 12 and I can only Bench 96 Pds. And Squat (So Far) 158, That's a strong 9 year old.

  • competetion

  • i am not 14 ... idk who told you that what i said what im 4 ft 8 an 94.8 lbs now i squat 175 an i have my completion thspa standings i dont have a vid tho

  • hello... i personally know rakim he went to my school last year and he's fine hes not really short but hes cool.. haha no joke i actually know him

  • nice job man im 4 ft 8 an 98 lbs i just started power lifting an i can squat 140 lol an dl 155 an bench i know its sucks lol 70

  • @Playgurlish bullshit you cant squat 140.

  • @rctriplefresh5 lol u get my comment .. why u think thats bullshit short ppl have the better advantage duh an were built more for lifting

  • @Playgurlish i get your comment what do u mean?

140 isnt a lot of weight to squat, but i know at 14 and 98 pounds you arent doing it

plus at 14 you prob do quarter squats.

    post a vid

  • Comment removed

  • I could be wrong, but the same plates are at my gym and those are 10lbs. If this kid is 9, don't worry, he will get stronger, it just takes time. Personally, I was maxing at 115 at his age, but it's a good start.

  • @LHedgehog1 The weight was really 100lbs. No need to lie. He has 13 world records in bench squat and deadlift. Do you have any vids of your 115lb beach @ 9 yrs old? He's 11 now with a 185lb bench. He weighs 115. I'll post the vid

  • @coachsoop wheres the vid of his 285 bnch

  • @coachsoop this kids a beast but that 185 bench press is bullshit you put a vid up of him benching 115 at 10 yrs old theres no way hes getting 185 thats 70 pounds in a year for a kid no way this is already crazy enough you dont need to lie cuz you didnt put it up and to that guy who said he maxed 115 at this kids age go kill urself this kids crazy

  • @LHedgehog1 lmao personally your an asshole. 115 at 9 years old. please.

  • @LHedgehog1 bull crap

  • Excellent lift,props

  • he needs a smaller bench , cant reach the ground. :D nice lift

  • wat a lil siickk maan.. (Y)

  • haha this kid will be a monster eventually.

  • @alubriol lol i hope so hes 11 lmao what a joke

  • hes gonna be huge.

  • bench looks great, dead lift great, but, squat it does not look good, squats have to be either deep squats or parallel, i train kids also, i teach them to go all the way down in a slow and controlled way. good work, i like the way this kid bench.

  • @Admf2005 Thanks for the post. He goes as far as he can on the squat. There are "safety" bars on either side of him. This vid was shot when he was only 9. He's 12 now andis still breaking records.

  • 9 years old, impressive!!. but the technique for the squats is poor, he goes down about 6 in inches if that

  • when i was 9 i could dumbell 200lb.

  • this kid is really strong for his age but he didnt come close to going low enough on that squat...his legs should be close to 90 degree angle

  • honestly i think its great but dont u think its a little too early for him to be lifting seriously

  • @Faqiu42 The AAP (American Association of Pediatricians say 7-8 years old is okay for weight training in a professionally supervised environment. The NSCA also says the same and these people write the books and Medical Journals on the subject.

There are many misconceptions vs. Facts you can and should check before entering into youth weight training.

  • How is he in football?

  • Kid's gonna be strong.

Are squats okay for a growing kid? Or would that stunt his growth?

  • Wow you know that your fucking hi, up in the long run like if if gets hurt

  • Holy shit, that kid's going to be a monster.

  • lil beefcake lol

  • @steamingpoopfart Wrong. 45lb bar. 25's on each side and 2 1/2's 100lb. No need to embellish this kids' lifts. This was done 2 years ago. He's 11 and hits 160. I'll post a vid.

  • Amazing form! for such young athletes! keep it up!

  • this kid is strong...when I was 12 I only benched 45lbs for 15reps....and squat at 9??? thats great

  • pretty good for 9 years old.

  • nice job.. i dont max out a lot but im 11 and i recently did 135 on the bench.. keep up the good work :)

  • Very impressive, I just turned 14 and I bench 140.

  • beast

  • @needafirearm hahaha this kid is stronger than half the gr 9s at my school haha

  • That is not a 100 pound bench haha. I mean, the bar my guess is, 45 pounds, and then those plates are like 10 pounds. 65 pounds :\ no where near 100 haha. unless im miscalculating the mass, maybe the mass makes that 100 pounds... I don't know, but I believe that technically that's more like 65 or less, which is still freaking amazing at age 9.

  • @ReadThisurDUMB

It is a real 100lb bench press. Those are 25lb plates and a 2/12 lb plate on each side.He is the AAU champ in bench press in the 8-9 yr olds and 10-11 yr old 105 lb class.Check out his other vids in competition.

  • @coachsoop yes but not to hate on a 9 year old but he moved his feet on his bench press witch is an automatic red light :/

  • @ReadThisurDUMB Those are 25pound plates with a 2 1/2 on the ends with a 45 pound bar. that is 100pounds but ya even if it wasnt, its still amazing for a 9 year old, my brothers 10 and can barley do 45, haha.

  • @ReadThisurDUMB Those are 25 lbs plates

  • @ReadThisurDUMB Its not good at all for kids under 10 years old to Weight Lift...Thats why there short and fat..Kids that age under 10 just need to be active not like this kid...If your like 13 or 14 then you could start weight lifting but not kids like this

  • @liljuve13 You're wrong, weightlifting is fine if properly suvervised at any age really.

  • @ReadThisurDUMB Mass and weight are the same on Earth, since weight = mass(gravity), and since the concept of gravity was discovered on Earth, we made it a standard 1g. Therefore weight = 100lbs(1g) = 100lbs.

  • @ReadThisurDUMB did u really just say the mass makes that 100 pounds? those r 25 pound plate and a 2.5 pound plate on each so that equals 100 pounds plese refrain from commenting on videos incompetent ignorant peon fuck shut up! my severely retarded cousin's iq must be higher than yours because you cant even do simple math

  • @ReadThisurDUMB dudei lift everyday those weights are 25 lbs

  • kids goin places. gotta love how way back in the day kids that were 4 and 5 were working on farms all day long and they grew up just fine. kid'll be alright just don't overload him and make him max out everyday. dont see any problems here. got some father son time which rarely happens these days, and kids not sittin down eatin mcd's. rather have that then all the parents that spoonfeed their kids and they grow up not bein able to take care of themselves. congrats.

  • weightlifting doesnt stunt growth at that age hes not going to be putting on muscle, however with steroids that will stunt growth as muscles are becoming bigger they are sorrounding the bone stopping it from growing so shutup

  • @Natoyle93 Maybe you should read an actual medical book. What you said made no sense. Muscle sorrounds the bone which then makes the bone stop growing? Hahahahhaha. Wrong, if anything working out stimulates growth hormones making the growth plates exceed epectations on a minor level.

  • @bobby123greenhalgh The effects of anabolic steroids on a child can prevent them from growing reason being they are producing more muscle mass, the muscle will surround the top of the bone growth plate called the epiphyseal causing damage to the receptors in this area. When the bone wants to grow it can't because it simply has no room to grow. It all depends on which steroids are being referred to.

  • @Natoyle93 Yes it does all depend on which steroids are being referred too. I didn't talk about or mention steroids in my rebuttle, you however felt the need to bring up a completely different subject in order to save face and twist words. Why don't you read more carefully next time? ;)

  • @bobby123greenhalgh No my whole first comment was on anabolic steroid i said this kid is going to grow the use of steroids however will mean he wont. Go read it back im not mistaken.

  • @Natoyle93 You used sterioids to make your point about muscle. You said he wont get muscle at that age from weightlifting so it's fine. You then said later on how muscle growth affects height, which it doesn't.

  • @bobby123greenhalgh NOOOOOOOOOOO absolute idiot, i said bodybuilding will not effect the height of this child, however if this child was to use steroids it will effect his growth which i then backed up with theory to support my claim. JESUS!

  • @Natoyle93 No your point was that muscle growth affects height, you used steroids as an example. Originally you said "It's perfectly safe to workout at this age because he wont get any muscle". You're the idiot for thinking muscle growth affects height

  • @bobby123greenhalgh Erhhh did i use the words ' its perfectly safe to workout at this age, erhhh no. I said muscle growth effects fucking height with the use of anabolic steroids!!! and without the use of steroids it wont effect him because he will simply not be putting on muscle that young because he is producing little testosterone

  • @Natoyle93 Talk in circles all you like, the fact of the matter that your point of muscle growth being detramental to height is wrong.

  • @bobby123greenhalgh Im not talking in circles you just don't understand cause your a fucking retard who knows nothing about the human body. And i stated the the use of anabolic steroids being detrimental of growth of a child, you can look anywhere ask a teacher in sport, or look online and you will find my claim to be correct. Stop thinking you know everything when you know absolutely nothing your a retard go get a fucking life and get educated before you try arguing with me. HAH DICK YOU LOSE!

  • @Natoyle93 I find it hard to believe i'm losing this arguement when you're the one resorting to caps lock and verbal insults. Both a sign of frusteration, frusteration that would most likely stem from you not getting your point across succesfully. I think it's quite obvious that steroids are detrimental to anyone's health. But muscle growth is not.

  • @I never said that muscle growth can harm helf i just said taking steroids can stunt growth THAT IS IT!. What can't you understand about that, im not fustrated i just can't believe you dont understand its simple you just don't want to admit your wrong about my comment so you blabble on diverging away from the original argument itself and refering to my writing ?

  • holy crap @ all the paranoid pansies commenting on this vid. calm down, ladies, the kid will be ok... looks like he's having fun too so shut up about anyone "making" him do this too. and you wanna talk about deformed 9 year olds, go to mcdonald's sometime and take a gander at those deformed fatasses.

  • Thanks, dude. The kid is 11 now. He's in great shape and loves football, powerlifting, basketball and baseball. Just a regular kid.

  • @TheDgro18 such a true statement!!!

  • you could put it that way

  • how many kids get a chance to do this , he's got support by who is that bald guy his dad i assume. I don't think it's wrong for kids to lift weights but c'mon at least let him reach puberty first

  • @Dedokai32 il second that who would wanna do that to their own kid make them look deformed at the age of 9?!?

  • Deformed? What? Some people use the most interesting words...This vid was shot April of '08. The kid is 11 now. He looks and acts like most kids. He's just stronger than most his age. No he isn't 3'2. He's in the 60 percentile in height and 80 percentile in weight.

  • pretty strong little man you got there. just make sure he doesent fuck up and knack his growing up n shit.

  • hes only 9 ....

  • weight lifting does not stunt your growth. but at that age, your bones are still soft and if you lift like that you will have joint problems when you get older. he should wait until he is atleast 11.

  • everyone is wrong!

weight lifting doesn't stunt your growth at all, in fact it actually stimulates it!

  • this kid's gonna be strong later on....or maybe stunt his growth actually. Maybe wait til this kid is about 12 or 13

  • Ok weight lifting might be safer than all those sports u listed. but for a nine year old kid it will stunt their growth and give them several problems down the road. Weight lfting is only safe when your body has developed enough.

  • You sound so sure of yourself with your "medical" advice. Tell me where you got this information or was it just folklore.

  • kid is pretty strong but at such a young age that will probably affect his joints later in future

  • He better than avg height for his age according to all height weight charts.

  • @hulahoops50 wow , lifiting weights doesn't mean you ahve to take steroids you idiot.

  • Is it heathly for young children to lift weights? IDK?

  • why wouldnt it be, its better then being fat lol

    plus helps for later on

  • General exercise is a different than lifting heavy weights. You put alot of stress on your bones and joints when lifting weights, so that may not be good for young kids to do. I heard the best time for a young person to start lifting is around puberty. Your body is producing alot growth hormone during that time. So you can build a solid body.

  • Yes. Listen people. It is so tiring to hear the same arguement about kids lifting. Weight lifting is safer than the following sports...

    Football

    Baseball

    Soccer

    Hockey

    Basketball

So when someone says weight lifting isn't good for kids, tell them for a FACT all the sports mentioned have more injuries and DEATHS than weightlifting will EVEr have.

  • I guess I would need to ask a doctor about it.

  • I tried lifting and broke my feet.....Trust me, going to school was horrible!

  • i love seeing videos like this! kids getting in the weight room early is such a good thing, especially when they are outlifting kids years older then them....this kid has no reason to be dissed, great job!

  • @huntrayisabeast16 shit bro, i like your username!

  • haha nice username yourself :D...lol although i did make it when i was in 6th grade ;P

  • To all the haters out there, I think you need to go back to school or actually get some QUALIFIED information on the subject of lifting weights. To this day there is absolutely no scientific evidence which suggests lifting weights or any kind of fitness training at a young age can stunt or damage their growth. It is a common misconception which people just tend to believe without actually being qualified to give that sort of advice.

Keep up the good work. You should be very proud.

  • @lordtopcat Thank you lordtopcat. It's good to know there are forward thinking people out there like you and blaketoth. Thanks for your support.

  • For everyone who is dissing on this kid. STOP you are all jealous because this kid is stronger then your kids or stronger then u where, or stronger then u for that matter. If your commenting saying its not healthy well thats this kids parents to decide. Which would you rather have at 9 years old, one of the strongest 9 year olds in the nation? or one of the fattest becuase u buy your kids call of duty to waste his life on.

Great lifts kid I wish i had parents who got me into lifting this young

  • @blaketoth Thank you blaketoth. He really enjoys this sport. He's just a regular kid who likes a good challenge.

  • @coachsoop Your welcome. Id much rather see kids lifting then playing video games. Im only 15 but I understand alot more then most 15 year olds do when it comes to lifting and things like that

  • hey coach its called short hand instead of typing the whole word...

  • wen uur kid can hardly walk at the age of 13 cuz of two much power lifting then u will listen to people who say this is rong

  • @drewferg12 I guess I should adhere to your logic. Anyone that spells as well as you, must be more educated and informed than the doctors I have consulted on this subject.

  • Strong boy, but poor squats hardly went down!

  • @HardJumpFanatic Thanks. He was TOLD not to go down all the way. He has vids with his world record squats.

  • man thisa kid is strong. i could only bench 45 pounds when i was 15 let alone 100x2 at 9. however those squats were crap, lower it to 115 or something that was a quarter squat.

  • And one more thing, I can rep a 30ib dumbbell 16 times, I can do 30 military push up "not the bitchy pushup that weak fags be doing", and I don't know about bench press because the last time I bench press was when I was 12 yrs old. The reason why I don't bench press is because I don't have the equipment, I might go on the football team feb 2010 so I can use the gym in the school to bench press to work on my chess. Oh and remember to talk my advice.

  • @AGazaMiSeh wow u can rep a 30lb dumbell 16 times nice....and wtf y would you join football jus for the weight room ...faggit

  • I'm 15 yrs old, luckily my parents Isn't dumb enough to let me start lifting weights younger. I have some advice for you brother, stop making your child or whoever he's to you lifting weights and start making him drink some high protein milky drinks before it's too late for him.

  • Thanks for your pseudo concern. First you say the parents of the lifter are dumb. Then you call me "brother". How novel. Why don't you stick to your healthy smoking of blunts. You seem to promote that on your site. Seems like your parents were dumb enough to let you start hitting the hippie lettuce.

  • nah wen ur kids 13 and can barly walk from doin shittyy ass squats and power lifting wen he hasent even hit puberty u dumb fuck u have no clue what ur tlking about and wen ur kids in a weel chair then youl see that u mite want to litin to all these people and what thare tlking about cuz thay obviouslyy know what thare tlkin about more than you do.and by the wayyy smokin a blunt is safer than power lifting at that age its a fact

  • @drewferg12 The squat were done that way because we TOLD him to do that as a warm up. He has 2 world records in the squat. That was just warm up so don't get it twisted.

  • lol teach him to do situps lol he is fat

  • Maybe you need to be taught to have manners you idiot.

  • When did I said something racist? You're a fucking racist hillybilly, you don't like black people.

  • @AGazaMiSeh You mentioned if he keep lifting, he'll end up like a Mexican. You are more upset with yourself than this kid lifting. Maybe you didn't get the support and love this kid gets from his folks. Maybe you still can't lift as much as he can. Whatever your insecurities are, deal with them and get away from this page with your negativity.

  • @Crusade62 Maybe we need to teach you some manners. You're an idiot.

  • My boy mike started lifting around 9 and he's 6'2" now. He's also 270 lbs with no injuries aside from a knuckle injury attained while playing hs football. He's been playing since he was 6.

  • he looks tough

  • damn when it said 155lb squat i was like wow but then he barly went down good form on bench tho

  • When did I say baseball stops wars? I play baseball for fun, and if God really wanted to stop wars he could, but he won't because of the sin in our world. God is my belief, therefore I must preach in his name because Jesus calls us to be disciples and make more disciples. I was never shoving any religion on to anyone, I was just sharing my belief. Though if your saying God does not exist, why do so many people get offensive when anyone talks about him? Soon you will know the truth my friend.

  • god does not exist you dumbass. keep believing your fairy tale stories pussy

  • i ment for no fro

  • well that kids not growing good job trainers

  • hahaha thats what i said

  • He's 4 inches taller now. Thanks "Doctor"

  • @ImSoMally Well doctor, your prediction about his height is wrong. Thanks for your uninformed comment.

  • Spetsnaz009, are you retarded or do you just not goto school?

  • *though I try not to make it my life

  • Why not use his strength to help others? Why does everyone only care about glorifying themselves? I understand that you want your kid to be happy, but did he choose this or did you? Why waste your life on something so foolish... You will lose it all when Jesus Christ returns and recreates a new Earth. What's it worth then? I love sports too..I play baseball for high school. Though I try to to make it my life, God is my true life and my motivator to do good and bring others to him.

  • Ajam1013, you are the type of person who really destroys the true meaning of religion. You are the person who thinks they are doing so many good things, but you over do it by making yourself into a total cocksucker. And who are you helping by playing baseball..? I love sports too, but playing baseball isnt gonna stop any wars, and neither is god. If god is your life, make it your life and stop shoving YOUR beleifs onto others. And for christ's sake, learn some manners you self absorbed fuck.

  • well,diablo13634 i honestly don't care what you think of me, because i can already tell just by that comment that you just like to try and put other people down to make yourself look so good. I for a fact have more manners and respect fro others then you'll ever have there was absolutely no reason fro that comment and I'd really appreciate it, if you wouldn't talk like that about people you don't even know. I'm not telling you that you have to believe my comment, but its certainly what i believe

  • Your good but dont hurt yourself by benching too much or your muscles will get all fucked up in young age and possibly for the rest of your life

  • Tell me how that happens?

  • Sometime when young people start lifting they have to lift there right weight,if you lift too much you might tear your muscles or hurt them bad enough where they might get all jacked up for many many years to come or possibly your life

  • DUDES A BEAST! haha thats cool stuff

  • whats his weight

  • 98lbs on this video. This vid was shot in March of '08. He's 11 now.

  • bench. because somewhere a 9 year old kid is warming up with your max

  • lol im 15 and i can barely rep 115 lol

  • stay positive and stay strong young man, you're going to be something special as you get older! Keep it up!

  • Thanks aaronquy!

  • the kids not gonna grow more than 5 ft will ba dwaft

  • I noticed all of the comments you have posted for other people who weight train. You have, perhaps, the most negitive filled posting. It must mean that you are lacking self esteem, are a wanna be know it all, and bitter about yourself. I think you area mental dwarf.

  • i could bet you an unlimited amount of money he will grow more than 5 foot.

Its either misinformation, and the common "weights stunt your growth" myth, or youre just plain jealous this kid is stronger than you.

  • Thank you angrygunsmith. The kid is now 11 and he's 5'. He is 97lbs.
