zell card is from zell's mother.

quistis card is from the trepe groupies... either the two girls in the classroom or the guy in the cafeteria

It's not the Zell card it's the Seifer card. And you get it by winning it from Cid.

Oh ok my bad. Ummmmm. You might still have the chance. Just talk to Cid any chance you can (after every scene he is in) and try to play him. It's hard to miss getting Seifer, it's just a matter of how early you get it. Because you can get it later on when the party and Squall talk to Cid and his friend. Is this your first playthrough? If not I'll tell you exactly where, I'm trying to be spoiler free atm.

when cid told me to go to the fisherman city (i think) it was possible to chalenge him to card game. and yes this is my 1st playthrough of FF8. i like it but sometimes the talking becomes so boring i just wanna skip it all ... especially while u play as laguna OMMMMG

No worries. The talking can get a bit tedious sometimes. But it's still a great game. Don't forget to give the other FFs a go too, they are just as good. You might even find them better.

The same way my crappy card flipped his higher numbers -- the plus rule. When you add the two opposing numbers together and their sum is the same as the sum of the other pair used with the same card, they flip, and can chain a combo if it flips cards with the normal rule of higher numbers.

Watch it a few more times and you'll get it. :)
