My '67 Thunderbird has 46,000 original miles on it with a 390 and I probably couldn't get over $7,000 for it! There's no way this car should sell for over $12,000.
About leather: I had a 64 with bright red leather interior. A friend of mine had a 66 with a pinkish leather with a kind of golden flakes in it, a bit like nail polish. It was gorgeous!
Our family bought a 1966 T Bird new in 66. It was a ivy green with black landau top with 428 4V engine We loved it, it was totally loaded with air, cruise, power seats, and my favorite feature was the slide across steering wheel to make getting in/out easier. Unfortunately it got totalled when someone hit it. We traded it for a 1975 Chrysler Cordoba which was a gutless piece of crap compared to the T Bird.
and the princess monacco edtion, total production numbers were as follows:convertable 5049, town landau, (which he has)35,105,town hardtop 15,633,conventional hardtop 13,389, total production numbers 69,176, like i said you have a nice tbird, hope it got a nice home, to me it was the very last good year of the bird.
nice car, but some of ur facts are wrong, no disrespect but i have been dealing with the 1996 tbird for over 25 yrs, first, no such color as presidential blue,(correct name is nightmist5 blue)second well over 600 428 ci motors were sold in the 66 tbird, total production for that model was 35,105, of which 4,503 left with the 428 option,it would cost u a extra 67.00 to upgrade from the 390 to the 428.third of all there wre 4 diff models of the 66 bird, the convertable, landau, town hardtop.
Bought mines yesterday for 1200 buxs cash ;)

Navy blue leather??? Probably nyagahyde. Leather was either white or black. The hard top never came with a spare tire cover. Only the convertibles.

600 428's???? Almost 1/3 of all '66 Thunderbirds had the 428's!
