you could see flames from my house... the explosion rocked everything for miles. this was a major screw up by the gas company. a family lost their mother and a dog. the gas company shoudl pay BIG TIME
I remeber talking to my friends and his parents about this on the way home after I had gotten in a serious car accident. I mean, I live off of Riverside and I didn't hear anything, so I guess it didn't travel in that direction. But strangely enough, I don't remember where I was at the time of the explosion.
I was on scene in less than 10 minuets as I live on Mohawk Rd.
I knew there was going to be intense devastation when I arrived on scene.
The percussive force felt from my house was an obvious indicator that major crisis had happened.
I was also helping at Chace street setting up cots for the displaced families. I was left in DISGUST after hearing Bill Meehan acting a fool jumping into the limelight and being VERY unprofessional reavealing that there had been a fatality.
