Did you by any chance miss out the part where he says remove the sd but leave wii on and then format sd then copy paste his hack pack into sd then insert sd back into wii?? Now go to homebrew and choose run bootmi... if that solved ur problem then, FACEPALM :p

@MicrowaveSam Once I select to launch bootmii and scroll over to select the homebrew channel, it seems to reset and return to the home channel start page. I'm not seeing any of the packages that yours is showing. Am I missing something that you told me to install that I maybe have forgotten to?

@benjaminforbus do u have game U draw? u ran an update from a game that must have updated console files to kick it when attemtpting to run hack.. I just figured this out.. i am atm tryna read how i can restore the console back to its factory state so as to again install and hack wii, Cause it was working prior to running u draw game. Also i dont know if i will be able to play u draw without updating after i hack again.. damn waste of money, on Udraw then

@dcruz87221 just change the video of game format to ntsc or pal whichever the console is. use Force NTSc or Pal in options from whatever loader ur using. I cant precisely guide you. But its a veeery simple task and I wud LOL hard if u say u already re hacked for that small thing!!

i am not sam, but i keep coming back here often because i looved his tutorial, and it helped me perform mod without much effort. The compilation which he has done is tremendously apreciated. So i am trying to answer some of his subs questions. if you have installed preloader, Sam shows that u have to press and hold reset for few secs and when preloader pops up, just choose region free enable. That shud fix the problem. But i belive u have already fixed it by now.

@iiSkillxSn1p Newer wii remotes have this Nintendo Fix that makes it shut itself off when Hackmii Installer comes on. I suggest to borrow a friend who has a wii remote before November 2011. and then the hack will work.

I followed both part 1 & 2 and it was a great success. Thanks so much, I'm now able to play One Piece Unlimited Cruise Episode 1 PAL since it's so rare to find now. I'm playing it off a flash drive btw. The only draw back was not being able to play LoZ Skyward Sword and SMG2 on the disc channel, I have to use Gecko OS since it says I need to perform a System Update even though I have 4.3U.

a little problem that i have is that the games in the HDD dind't show up with the covers. i've only worked them in the Wii backup file manager... i'´ve put the covers wile converting them from iso file to wbfs file but the cover's didn't show up.

Any sugestion?

hello SAM... followed all steps to get homebrew. worked great. did the backup as stated and saved. somehow i accidently erased my homebrew channel and i tried to reload to factory settings using my backup and i get total black screen....bricked? loaded your settings u posted and it acts like it will load, but when it says hit z button to continue, it gives me the message," try harder HASHIMOTO-SAN" have ya ever heard of this? im stuck. help!

I mean the thing with downloading a program to format the external harddisk and adding games to it aswell as using port 0 and so on, right? Can the SD card have a higher size than 2GB? I have read somewhere that the Wii doesn't read SD cards of that high capacity. I'm planning to buy a SanDisk for this. (If you could also answer me the question in the part 3 of your older video it would be awesome). Thanks sam!

I have a question I followed your guide and I can get the letter okay but after I get into the anti-scam screen and it reads "click 1 to continue", the wiimote doesn't work, I try and it wont sync / connect (I'm guessing, either way I get no response from it). I can't tell if the Wii is freezing or if it's just not recognizing the Wii-mote? I stupidly unplugged my console but thankfully everything is still working okay. Is there anyway to fix this?

Hey, i did everything ya said, got everything reupdated and working, but i got a quick question from parts 23:00-23:30 what do we do with those? do we not put it back on the sd card? i updated from 3.2 to 4.3 and was j/w do i need to still keep those files cuz ya said to put them up, but if i updated i would not need them since we unloaded the files in the second vid that on the sd card right?

@mikeyw8187 all you need to save onto your computer is bootmii, nand.bin, and and keys.bin. Then in part 2, I formatted and deleted everything that was still on the SD Card.
