  • @buntgestraifft thanks for watching, and your ignorant comments also!

  • @stephendeibler Oh mate, this is daft! Senseless and daft. Sorry but why are you doing that? It's not normal

  • @buntgestraifft Alligator population control is important in this area, these permits were issued in this lake because of a person being attacked the prior spring in the same lake. Your responce is typical of a european, I assume you are, I would put my doctorate and zoology degree against your knowledge, or lack of in any debate. Removing a few large gators is good management. I still thank you for your comments because it shows the ignorant thinking thats out their which causes poor management

  • @stephendeibler AHA.

  • @stephendeibler btw, why is someone swimming in a lake when he knows there are crocs? I think THIS is ignorant.

  • @buntgestraifft it probably was an ignorant mistake, however around the world, in many cultures, large predatory reptiles coexist with human populations.Contact is unavoidable, many small kids are taken just because they walked near the water. This is the ugly truth, responsible management is needed on both sides. Thanks for the comment

  • @stephendeibler About alligator attacks, people say "We're taking over their territory". Maybe in SOME places, but not others. I'm from a small city of about 35,000. MILES from the swamp and marsh. NEVER WAS part of alligator habitat. This past summer two gators showed up in our city park in a pond where kids feed the ducks, and a third killed a dog in a wealthy gated subdivision, both walking distance from my home. All WELL within the city limits. Could have EASILY been a child, both places.

  • Ohh great comment has to be approved, great guys I hate you!!! Hunting is senseless!

  • Why are you hunting you bloody idiots!!!

  • @stependeibler Yes, I have done some redfishing. I enjoy it a lot.

  • @stephendeibler Sure! I like sharing that stuff with people who hunt. I have more local Swamp People scoop for later. There's a video posted here of T-Rex, it's called SP-S2-EP8-pt4. They wanted to film him being loaded from the water, but he was already tagged on the bank. You see the tag on his tail at about 2:24. Anyhoo, I think the reason Louisiana allows baited hooks is the sheer NUMBER of gators that need to be taken out here, some 33,000 per year. But that's just my opinion.

  • @Stingray8854 do you do any redfish fishing, i fished Chandeleur Islands, La Marsh, twice before Katrina, once after, not since oil spill.

  • @stephendeibler This off subject of Swamp People "scoop", but I used to bow hunt deer in the Atchafalaya Basin, same swamp Troy hunts. I pulled my boat up to the bank to scout an area with tall grass. Walking around, I heard a small sound in the water. About 15 yds from my boat, I thought "somebody just left...grass flat, mud flat, like a boat just shoved off" Wasn't a boat. HUGE gator surfaces out in the bayou. It was his slide I saw, like 3ft WIDE. He was there when I pulled up, never saw him.

  • @Stingray8854 thanks for all the good la bayou info, hope to gator hunt their some day, I have currently filmed and/or guided over 30 gator hunts in 3 states but never La. we cant limb bait hook to the east. thanks steve

  • @stephendeibler I see you approved my last reply, but there was more. The "she" I'm referring to is Liz. I met her last summer. Not at some Swamp People autograph event, just out in public. We talked about the show, editing, and people saying it's fake. Maybe you remember Troy and Liz catching "T-Rex" in season 2? He was already tagged. Liz said she'd shot him and just tagged him on the bank. Nothing fake at all, they just didn't show all that happened.

  • @stephendeibler I see you approved my last reply, but there was more. The "she" I'm referring to is Liz. I met her last summer. Not at some Swamp People autograph event, just out in public. • @stephendeibler (continued) She said there was LOTS of good stuff they got on film, that never made it on TV. Not just action, but funny stuff. If I remember correctly, I think she said one day Troy fell in the mud. He did Apparently he was ok, she said it was just hilarious. There's a few more things, more "inside scoop". I'll be back with more later.

  • @Stingray8854 One thing is certain about gator hunting, when dealing with big gators, nothing goes as planned, I get questioned about my videos, why didn't we do this or that, we must be inexperienced. 8 footers can be diificult, 12 footers are difficult, dangerous, and unpredictable. Often downright scary. I like to film and air what happens, even if it isn't perfect, for this is reality. check out our 2009 south carolina hunt, it was wild. thanks for watching

  • @stephendeibler (continued) She smiled, a little embarassed, and said "Yeah, it's me", and we talked a few minutes. She still was not accustomed to being recognized. I asked about T-Rex and the tag. She said she tagged him on the bank, and the crew got it on film. But they wanted to film him being loaded from the water, so back in he goes, tag still attached. And once it's on, it has to STAY on. Anyway, she said she has no idea why they didn't just show it as it happened. (continued)

  • @Stingray8854 By the way, we sell stock wildlife footage of alligators, deer, turkey, etc to all the major channels. Our footage has aired on the Sportsman Channel, Pursuit TV, Hunt Channel, The Outdoor Channel, PBS, The Learning Channel, and others in U.S, Europe, and Asia. We strive to bring quality video reality, some like it, some don't, but i thank all for watching, and commenting, good and bad. Steve Deibler DeiblerOutdoors

  • @stephendeibler (continued) The original video of the whole episode and all the "fake" comments was pulled, but there's a clip of it still here called SP-S2-EP8-pt4. You see the tag when they load mean ol' dog-eating T-Rex in the pirogue at about 2:24. Ok, shifting gears... Last summer I met Liz. Not at some Swamp People autograph event (met Junior, Willie, and Theresa at one of those), just out in public. I said "Hey, you're Liz from Swamp People right?" (continued)

  • @stephendeibler Well, if you watched season 2 you may recall that Troy and Liz set out to catch a gator they called T-Rex. It had eaten an old Cajun fisherman's dog right out of his boat. They went after him deep in the swamp in a pirogue, a type of canoe. Too dense in there for Troy's boat. When they got him, pulling him out of the water, the tag was already attached. Well, like all the episodes, it was uploaded here on YouTube, and had all sorts of comments saying the show is fake. (continued)

  • @stephendeibler About Swamp People, I live right near the area, just a few miles from the swamp where they film. With the cast being somewhat local to us, you don't have to look far to find friends and relatives of them, and word gets out about things of the show sometimes that the average viewer never sees. Good "inside scoop". Anyway, there's lots of "drama" encouraged by the film crew, but using .22 rifles is not part of it. They've been using them since LONG before Swamp People.

  • @Stingray8854 Thanks for the inside scoop, any other tidbits of knowledge, please share Steve Deibler

  • @Stingray8854 Thanks for sharing the info with us, any other inside info, please share, I love the show, esp when they took the frenchman out. thanks steve

  • @fusilier45 Try cajungrocer(dot)com. They sell alligator meat and will ship it frozen, on dry ice. There's lots of other GOOD, AUTHENTIC Cajun foods there as well. See, I'm Cajun myself, and I live right near some of the crew from Swamp People, near Troy, Jacob, and Liz. In fact, the swamp where they film is about ten miles or so from my home. Anyway, if you're interested in alligator meat or Cajun foods, that's the place to get it.

  • how much does it cost to purchase a whole entire alligator? or just mainly it's meat.

  • It reminds of a scary movie. Good job, guys!

  • what the crap is this shit. you call this hunting. it should be called harvesting

  • @paulacronin20 You need to understand, alligator hunting is necessary. There's MILLIONS of them, and limited habitat. It's not a free-for-all. It's regulated by law. Adult alligators have no predators. Without hunting, they'd overpopulate, kill off their prey, upset the ecosystem, cause disease to spread due to stress of crowding and competition for food, then turn to humans as prey. Hunting helps prevent this. Like pruning a tree for it's overall health, hunting SOME lets the rest THRIVE.

  • @ 2:40 that was a powerful and loud snapped

  • u use bangstick?

  • @7150285 In this video, killed by using knife in back of head, but will often use a bangstick also. thanks for watching

  • @stephendeibler how come the people on tv show swamp people don't use bang stick from what I see I think its better than them using a 22 magnum. yes?

  • @Matt2779 a bangstick is a gun on the end of a stick. they can be made any caliber, including .22 mags. It is safer and more effective, it can be properly placed where hide meets skull, and used under the water. this saves your hearing, and bullet fragments deflecting off bone. Why not used on swamp people? uncertain of legality in La., suspect all the shooting and drama, and danger creates better t.v for them. Thanks for watching, Steve

  • @stephendeibler-In further possible reflection upon the question asked by Matt2779-I was thinking perhaps also other than what you previously stated about dramatization of the show but also was thinking it could be due to it being that they take shots at Gators at distances not just at the gunnels, would you agree?

  • @fusilier45 I agree using the rifle would allow longer shots, we cannot use them in Georgia,South Carolina, and only on private land in Florida, not public land. Although a .22 mag would not be the most powerful gator killer at distance, easy to skip off water or skull. On Fla private land, usually use .30 cal.Big gators have thick skulls. I think the guns boatside add alot of drama to show. when we have a gator boatside,we like to get at least 3 hook lines in them before fighting them. thanks

  • @stephendeibler-yeah I have been watching that Swamp People show and I was really surprised that they used .22 I thought they would use something abit heavier than that.Im from UK so I suppose you wouldnt be lying to say that I know next to nothing about Gator Hunting but Id love to have a go at it and certainly would love to try some Gator meat, happy new year man

  • AMAZING!!! i wish you would show how you killed that big SOB hahaha But I guess to many "green" retards would get angry haha

  • This is such a sick video cant u find anything else to do wit ur time then to kill animals????THEY WERE HERE FIRST.

  • @paulacronin20

Perhaps you shouldn't watch the video!!

  • @paulacronin20 you cant find anything else to do with your time then watch hunting vids and complain if you dont like it dont watch

  • @paulacronin20 This is an instructional video. Only a know-nothing peta-person with their typical mamby-pamby line of emotional (instead of rational) mind-set would think this a sick video. Have you even bothered to do any research into why their must be gator hunts? NO! You were just looking for something, ANYTHING to bitch about. You're happiest when you're bitchin' but it doesn't cure your ignorance crybaby. the cure is real simple. Go find something else to get your panties in a wad over.

  • @paulacronin20 so im wondering do you eat meat?, if so then you have no none zero right or room to say this is bad and if you eat only plants guess what your still KILLING it. people like you don't realize the benefits hunting provides the environment without it there would be overpopulation, diseases, food shortage and animals like GATORS ending up in your pool for the next time you decide to swim, and if you believe the bible then you know the animals were put here for us to eat

  • Looks like fun! Makes me want to go to usa for a holiday!

  • i love how you hippies complain about this i wanna see you complain when your in the water with the gator im pretty sure its gonna say OH NO me eat you thats gainst nature

  • I REALLY CAN'T UNDERSTAND PEOPLE WHO DO THIS ACTIVITY... SUCH A SHAME

  • I REALLY CAN'T UNDERSTAND PEOPLE WHO DO THIS ACTIVITY... SUCH A SHAME

  • Come On really..... i can think of other ways to hunt gators. Gators sticks are quicker and less drama

  • Fabulous video but you have to have nerves of steel to do this! I also couln't imagine trying to pull one of those big ones into the boat, its too bad that you couldn't have some kind of motorized hoist to do the job for you. How big was the gator at the end of the video, it looked absolutely massive!!!

  • @3p47L Do have a winch for hoisting gators, especially if you are alone. Gator at end was 12 foot. Thanks for watching

  • hey i see that you have a cross bow with a fishing reel i have been searching for one that can mount on a cross bow but cant find one where did you get yours

  • @zestysauce Fishing reels are AMS reels with custom i.e. homemade adapters

  • nice video man , you use the animal for food?

  • @alamerga123pdm Yes, these larger gators are best made into sausage.

  • NICE what do you do with it after you kill it?

  • look's fun but dangerous at the same, Wouldn't mind doing it myself just have to find the time and money to fly down to Florida, maybe do it when I get my plan's to travel the world in action.....

  • @redneckcountry100 asides from the overpopulation, you clearly don't understand how nature works.

  • I would like to see them tazer the thing into submision.

  • @61miroman You're the kind of thing I'd rather see get tazered into submission! Cheers!

  • im really considering getings some buddys together and going gator hunting iv kinda calculated the costs pretty expencive but looks like alot of fun

  • endangered? im pretty sure the gator population in louisiana is like 1.5 million kidsonic i hope your a vegitarian because if not do a little researce to where your meat comes from and how the animals are killed

  • endangered my ass. these man eaters are not innocent , i would hunt the fuck out of them if i had the money for the tags

  • your hunting endangerd animals if only you koe how seriouse that is youll understand not to put a bullet into somthing that lived longer than you these animals like aliigator, crocodile, owls, jellyfish, octopuses, foxes, and kangaroos are creative creature yes u have the right to rule over them cuz god made it that way but also they are important to the echo system and if u keep killin them what would be left? they also have a perpose. n god loves all his creations i dont think he want blood.

  • fuckin rednecks

  • @pelly1995 Thanks for watching!

  • @pelly1995 id like to see you say that to a redneck and get your ass whooped

  • thats a big motherfucker lol,.. im pretty sure theres lots of gators all over there, and theres like millions in florida,.. so its just like deer hunting i guess, but more dangerous lol.

  • stfu spartan1991la u have no fucking clue abouthunting or fishing u dip sht

  • and then they try to get founds to save another specie running out and extinct for this hunt a s s h o l e s

  • moving south to hunt me some gator

  • you guys are crazy!!!

  • Great video thanks for posting. I am going to be stationed in Florida soon and am looking forward to trying alligator hunting. BTW great job in your responses to the Anti's. Very tactful, and a good representation of our sport/lifestyle!

  • @bosshog340 Thanks for the comment. Most of the "anti" comments are from foreign countries. God Bless America!

  • Gators and crocs can be farmed. This is totally pointless.

Even if it's environmentally sustainable, it's disturbing that people can get enjoyment out of this.

  • nice video do u guys have a website ? do u do guided hunts if so how much i would fly from oregon

  • mmm mmm love me some fried gator

  • i am a big outdoors person. I love hunting, but not really gator. i dont see the point in making it a game animal. yhea the skin can make great leather, but whos gonna buy those products? rich ass people who dont know what it take to get that. on the other hand I would love to task some gator meat, lol sound exotic, and good, so i hear.

  • @zippster55 Everyone says gator meat tastes like chicken. Of course they say the same for frog legs, rabbit and damned near everything it seems. In my experience if people say "it tastes like chicken" and if you like chicken you should just stick with chicken because chicken is just better. But thats just personal opinion. Gator meet in my view tastes about like chicken going bad and frogs legs aint much better.

  • When i was 10 my uncle offered to take me gator hunting.I wanted too but my parents said "Nooo Its too dangerous, besides you dont need to be gone so long." assholes....I wanted 2 kill a gator :[

  • 5 Peta members cried themselves to sleep after seeing this video.

  • @FunkyFrank10 Hopefully 10 did. Thanks for watching!

  • Takes real talent; bunch of Fat guys!

  • hunting a gator with a fishing cross bow.... you got balls dood.

  • Dude, I have $0 money but please take me! it looks soo much fun! lol

  • I wish the government would ban this shit unless the ppl hunting have no food in theyre house.

  • @Spartan1991LA Humans are Omnivoures, eating both meat sources and vegetable sources. You may get your food from a can, but the food got in the can somehow. Many Americans grow or obtain their own food. Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • @Spartan1991LA hunting is hunting.. different in some ways but all together basically the same.. now if you can't handle the fact that we are part of the food chain and that humans are predators then go out back and stalk a mushroom or tomato..gators are far from extinct and the money generated by the selling of tags and permits and stuff all go back to the wildlife reserves.. in doing so keeping the population controlled and keeping a safe haven for wild life

  • @Spartan1991LA then there would be gators galore, eating pets and people.

  • @Spartan1991LA lol mmk mr city boy first off if you dont kill these gators they get out of control and run out of food and start attacking people they will eat anything when there hungry and ide rather a few thoasand gators die then 1 person

  • Cows-Delicious and make a fine pair of boots

Gators-Delicious and make a fine pair of boots

  • @driedel32 Excellent source of high end leather. Thanks for the comment.

  • Alligator hunting is absolutely disgusting. Youre killing an animal whos survival rate after hatching is only 20% and takes 10 years to sexually mature. Soon there will be no big gators in South Carolina. I'm not surprised that this animal has been around for millions of years and will probably die out at the hands of humas.

  • @laurenrenee06 The primary predator of Alligators are other Alligators, not humans. By killing a 1000 ( permit number allocated) larger predatory gators, the survival rates of baby gators increase, actually increasing the population. Thanks for the comment.

  • @laurenrenee06 how many humans die to it? bitch gtfo

  • why do people think its alright for animals to kill each other, but when a person does it, its a crime against nature and they call it murder, hunting is a way of life, and if you don't like it DON'T WATCH IT

  • @Brody400 AGREED

  • @Brody400 We kill cows, chickens, lamb, and fish so why not gators. Nobody made a rule what animals we can eat. I just don't think you should just hunt to be hunting them. If want to hunt eat them to.

  • @Brody400 Don't forget that we are animals too, other beings kill each other when they require food. Hunting for sport is murder. It takes a psycopath to enjoy killing other living beings. We are not the 'higher species' on this earth. Treat all of mother nature's lifeforms with respect and dignity. Have a nice day.

  • nice job, i hate them things there everywhere down here in florida. i wish i can get my gun and kill them all

  • Interesting video. I am in no way anti-hunting/fishing/harvesting as I am an avid outdoorsman. I do enjoy hunting bucks and fishing a few times a week. Not being from SC I can't really talk, because I have no idea of the alligator population there. But it just feels like killing those alligators is like killing a dinosaur. Like it is not really worth the meat and skin to kill one. Just my initial thought, please respond I'd like to hear what you have to say! I Also look forward to more bass vids

  • @shal0mnurh0me Thanks for taking the time to comment. The hide is quite valuabe and beautiful once tanned. The meat is excellent eating if not overcooked, great in a gumbo. Usually best to parboil the meat to tenderize it before frying. This is a hard tag to draw in any state, and is considered a trophy hunt. For most hunters, this will be a once in a lifetime experience, exciting and unique. Their is value in the harvest, otherwise, its just killing. It is hard for some people to see the value

  • @stephendeibler Thanks for the reply. Yeah, if you're not from an area that has gators you'd probably immediatley be against it. Because like me, I figure there's a very low population but I'm obviously wrong, plus as you say it's a hard tag to draw. I guess it goes the same way with people from say New York City or Boston, someone from a big city that is against the killing of deer. But the truth is in most areas we're overrun with them and one deer can feed a family for an entire season.

  • Bastardi di MERDA!!!!

  • @Estremofili Thanks for watching~!

  • wow proud of taking another life well i tell you what carmas a b***h

  • @cdukes1129 Thanks for watching, and your intellectual input to advance the sport.

  • After being hooked or harpooned, what can be a 400-pound, 10-foot-long alligator is fought to exhaustion. Once it becomes too tired and weak to fight any longer, the alligator is drawn to the side of the boat, its head is forced under the surface of the water, and a type of firearm called a bangstick is used to shoot in the head. The mouth is then taped, and the alligator is dragged into the boat.

  • Ohh big men killing an alligator. This is dusgusting!!! It really makes me angry to think that these dicks can just come along and kill an animal. It shows a total disrespect for life. It is in effect murder. Big brave men ehh???? Cowardly fuckwits more like!!

  • @LollyLouLa Think about this Ms U.K.! British Petroluem is destroying the environment where the Alligators live, this will lead to the eventual extinction of the species. Maybe you should round up some of your elitist U.K friends and get your bums over here, clean it up, and do your part to save the species. Failure of the Brits, like yourself, to clean up your mess is, to use your words, disrespect for life, and, your words again, in effect murder. Thanks for the comment

  • @LollyLouLa I killed me 3 alligators once It was awesome!!!

  • @LollyLouLa -I can guarantee that if this alligator bit off your arm or killed one of your relatives, you would want it dead and skinned. Yes, gators do eat men and men eat gators as well. It's the balance. Live with it.

  • @sharpie386

Damnit You Aint Lyin one Effin Bit

But check out how the Burmese Python is tryin to fuck up Floridas everglades

Even though I dont care for a gator we need a balance

    Type in this

  • @LollyLouLa haha, i agree with the uploaders reply, but listen you ignorant twit gator hunting is VER VERY VERY dangerous from a hunters prospective

  • @LollyLouLa your just a pussy killing is a way of life kill or be killed .....

  • @LollyLouLa and @cdukes1129 How about when alligators hunt each other? Did you even stop to think about that?

  • for the first time in my life .... im jelaous .... nice 5/5

  • You need to come to Florida to learn how to gator hunt properly. Buncha amateurs.

  • @derspiegle We have hunted extensively across Florida including Okeechobee,Kissimmee, Crescent ,Harney,Griffin,Puzzle Lake area of Kissimmee.

All the guides in the video were Florida Professional guides. Welcome your help on future hunts iif you can put bigger gators in the boat easier. Check out our Florida gator videos, as well as Georgia. Thanks for the comment.

  • Very interested in doing something like this. I'll certainly get in touch this year!

  • This is vile. Get a real job... or hobby. Disgusting southerners.

  • I would like to see you alone in the water with the alligator you quitters.
