@ladyfinesse82 i've never heard that before. i've heard of using lemons and i think i heard about someone using vinegar to change their hair color. and of course henna which people add teas or coffee grounds to to change the color.
Wow...Why so many shampoos? I like to find one or two name brand products and stick to them. That way I won't have too many different chemicals in my hair to keep it as natural as possible. Rasta Jamaican Mango and Lime products are my fav. and they smell sooooo good.
mostly because i like the different smells. plus they have different purposes. one is to clarify, one to to protect the color, one is to moisturize. i don't use the JML stuff anymore cause they changed their formula and a lot of their stuff has petroleum in it now. but i do use the cactus leave-in but i water it down a lot cause its so thick! but i also like to try a lot of different things so i know which products work best for me. you gotta try them so you know. happy you enjoyed the video!
no, its the same one. i think i gotta mess with the color balances a little. they're a bit off. i've been noticing i've been looking a bit more washed out in the most recent vids, too! LOL!
I love the video! Have you ever used any Burtsbees products. They have excellent shampoos and conditioners. Personally I like the Raspberry and Brazilnut. I also swear by their Avacado butter for leave in conditioner.
yeah. i ahve one of those hair color applicator bottles. and i usually mix a half water, half shampoo mixture in that. and that way i can apply the shampoo directly to my scalp instead of putting a glob on my locs and trying to work it down to the scalp.
i started with yarn braids and then i palmrolled the newgrowth as it grew out. i cut the braids out after a few months and just palmrolled. just this year february, i switched to latching. i've been growing my hair for almost 6 years
i don't use all of that stuff daily. in fact, i barely use anything daily. too lazy to keep up with it mostly. but that was just a vid of all the different things that i had on my shelf at the time.
yup. i tend to use moisturizing shampoos 'cause i have dry hair and scalp, but you can use anything. the only time i've heard of an exception is if you have sisterlocks. they have their own stuff for their hair because of slippage.
thanks for the loc product vid! i use olive oil, rosemary essential oil and water as a spritz now, but i'll have to try some of the other ingredients you added also!
Thanks for the vid. You said you have trouble with dry scalp. Me too. This is my 4th attempt with dreads. What should I use to oil and clean my scalp?
i've found that washing more often helps a lot, ironically. i now wash once a week as opposed to once every month or so. also, i just make a higher oil to water ratio for a heavier moisturizer.
JUS UPLOADED A NEW VID. CHECK IT OUT...GOT DAT WAX TOOKIN OUT MY DREADS..NOW SEE HOW ITZ LOOKIN...

how long were yur locs when you first started them, how many inches do you think they were :
and how did you start them two strand twist or comb coils
gunshinestateG 3 years ago
i started my locs with yarn. i cut off all my relaxed hair and had about 3 inches of hair that they put in yarn braids.
