  • The six wheels is after 1975,,,,

  • this is a brilliant clip, to see them cars again, being able to listen to them, it enuf to give u a hard on!

  • @vrrule In fact the most powerful and fast era of F1 was in the 80ths. The design of the aerodynamics, the turbo engines and the used under-pressure underneath the car by using the wing concept and skirts made them very fast (especially in the bends ) and unfortunately also very dangerous for the drivers. that is why this technology became forbidden and they banned the turbos and the wing-concept.

  • @snahnelom Young Vettel set the Monaco Pole lap Record this year.

Cars now are not as powerful as they were but they are very fast in other areas.

  • God bless Avon for giving the P34 new shoes for this race. It's nice to see this car racing.

  • have to give it to the guy in the brabham...great drive minus the spin.

  • This is completely weird. It's like looking at old 1970s film that someone has re-mastered. Fantastic!

  • voi geil

  • god that was beautifull

  • I'm a little confused, The Tyrell six-wheeler was first used in 1976 through to 1977 right?? How come it's on this grid? Thanks.

  • How could this marvel be left out of this?

  • the p34 started in 1975 in testing, however youre right and looking at wikipedia, the model used int he race is from 1977

  • @PiNInFarina18

Not all cars are available from all the seasons. If you notice, there are 2 different kinds of Tyrrells. It's the thought that counts.

  • Very cool... would love to do this

  • When they go ah to do another career(race) as this one?? Or is it(he,she) that already they do them?? If someone knows halgo that says to me when they do these careers(races) please excuse for my Englishman hahaha

  • CHIIL

  • love those cars. love old racing cars at all.

think about the le mans prototypes... :))))

  • alonso

  • Yeah indeed, i love the 6 wheeler Tyrell.

    Great grip in corners ;)

  • does anyone know why the 6 wheeler concept was fold?

  • The car wasn't all that good. They did manage to win once, in the Swedish Grand Prix ('76 I believe). But Goodyear, who supplied the small 10" tyres, didn't really develope them all that much, so Tyrell itself weren't able to develope the car any further. The cost really outwayed the advantages. Later on, the FIA banned cars with more than four wheels and with FWD.

  • thanks for the info.

  • Magnificent!! Back when MEN drove these cars...not a bunch of whiny bitches who complain about their teammates.

  • "MEN"???...because they smoked and drank?!

They were brave and skilled in the way that was needed at that time!

Today the "not-men" drivers ALSO have to be athletes, and endure 5+ G's, sitting so low in the car that almost half the corners are blind, have to hold their breath for a substantial part of each lap due to the G forces, with cornering speeds higher than ever!

But naah...they are just pussies! LOL

I bet You would piss your pants and vomit doing one lap at full race speed!

  • @indyracingnut Ain't that the truth.

  • what for shit is this always?? spam??

  • cancer cure foundation nikole simard EQUIPECLAUDEFRANCOIS

  • what do you think about lotus 80?

  • So good to see all these cars have survived. I'd be scared to drive one in a race like this for fear of crashing such a treasure.

  • I love 6 wheeler Tyrrel P34 F1 car.

  • makes you cringe when the cars touch!

  • and the fuel , not to speak about spare parts

  • i wonder where they got the tyers for these cars

  • great video, thank you

  • There are a lot of other reasons actually. For one, the cars are so fragile that the drivers prefer not to take too many risks while racing, as a small crash can cost them the race. Also, some teams have got so much more money than other teams, the small teams are just underpowered, this is why you don't see underdogs in the top ten anymore. (continues...)

  • (...continues) Another factor is that the cars are just too fast. Doing crazy stunts at 200kph in a fast curve, where they are on the verge of maxing out static friction, is not an option most of the time.

  • GREAT VIDEO / We will be racing at Pikes Peak Colorado July 21 2007 / I'll be shooting the race for the paper /blancobill

  • I can't imagine these guys wrecking these priceless cars! lol

  • THIS IS RACING.

  • brillo, nice to see all the classics +the BRM!

  • no traction control, no electronic gear box, no power steering... this is when racing was racing!!!

  • The Brabham is one sexy car

  • Brilliant. Listen to those engines. Im not even sorry to say it makes me horny :P

  • COME ON P34!!!

  • awesome!
