Im pretty new to this "mashing' stuff but I have to say I really liked what you did here. I think you really intensified the anti-war message which I felt wa a bit muted in the original. Good work.
Jona had this song for quite a while, certainly during his time as keyboard player with Terry Dactyl and the Dinosaurs. It was a non-festive version. A producer/engineer suggested adding the extra Christmas lyrics and 'feel.' The rest is history. The song, and Jona's androgynous qualities endeared him to the GAY community. This is nice and creative video version of this song. It sounds better speeded up - more like a march. Thanks for posting.
Most people who do remix stuff like this have to calculate the BPM or beats per minute so that the beat and the song are exact and thats why it's been sped up in this case.
There should be no problem with using Jona's 'Stop the Cavalry,' as Jona lifted the tune straight from Mozart's Rondo in D Major, K382. Take a listen and see.

Really like it when it gets going - from the 'dub a dub a dum dum' bit. Nice one - my fave Christmas song.

Sprouty's got a point. Once that gets going it's surprisingly good! Nice work mosquito. Remixed trumpets at 1:29 are excellent.

This would make a good official remix I reckon.
