@Krakolio SM doesn't run PS1 games. If you'll use quality discs for burned games, then the console will have the long life.

@Anime4lifeX7 there is no risk of any damage with Magic Keys. SM will work on your model (hey, it's same as mine, except mine is European!)

@cryptotooth If you don't have a chip, then forget about using downloaded Swap Magic (using SM with modchip wouldn't make any sense anyway). If you have FreeMcBoot, then I think that with spending some time you could make it work. However, I never tried it. Anyway, the best, simplest and the most comfortable would be BUYING Swap Magic. People, don't be THAT cheap!!

@Wario369 $35 isn't being cheap. I could buy the PS2 games I want to obtain if I spent that money. It is cheaper to modify a brand new xbox 360 disk drive to use burnt games.

Swap magic is such a scam as well. It is a couple of files containing simple boot sequences and a compatibility folder that allows for the .ELF file to be changed based off of the game. $35 is far too much for such a shitty product.
