The GOP has a higher number of corrupted senators then democrats. We need more people like Senator Byron Dorgan and Ron Paul so we can cut out the waste, fraud and abuse. This is the only way we can lower taxes. We have corruption on both sides and we need to see thought the smoke and mirrors.

One day then-Speaker Newt Gingrich called on all House Republicans to band together on a budget vote, even though it was a messy compromise that spent too much money. Everyone was expected to go along--except Ron Paul of Texas. Other conservatives wanted to know what it would take to get a "Ron Paul exemption" for themselves. The answer was to have a consistent voting record against all spending--even in your home district. There have been no additional exemptions passed out.

If 200 people/day see it, that's 50,000 people by the time of primaries! If 5,000 Ron Paul supporters do this, that's 250,000,000 people exposed to his name by primaries! Dr. Paul's only challenge at this point is not Giuliani or Romney, but exposure to the general populace, so let's get it done!

I suggest that we should all focus on that great middle to which Norman Goldman directs attention and not get into useless debates with people who have a gladiatorial or Super Bowl mentality. When such people post comments that are adversarial, I suggest calling attention to finding the common ground through rational exploration and debate rather than emotional ad hominem attacks (i.e., name-calling).

Goldman asks Congressman Paul: "Why are you a Republican, because I have seen you, I have followed you, and a lot of the positions I have heard you take just don't seem to jibe with the current ethos of the Republican Party?"

Goldman speaks not of: "...right wing rhetoric and left wing rhetoric," but that "we can find a lot of common ground, whether it's immigration, the alleged war on drugs, tax policy....There's a lot of people in the United States, regardless of party affiliation, regardless of rhetoric, that if we went issue by issue and we forgot the labels and we forgot the name-calling that we could find a lot of common ground with a really large middle in America, and I had Ron Paul in mind...."

I was delighted to hear Goldman's interview with Ron Paul. He makes the most important point in this Presidential campaign, viz., one that addresses the Super Bowl mentality that predisposes people to treat politics like a huge Super Bowl contest in which one sits on one side of the field screaming insults at the opposing team and fans, or even worse like a neo-gladiatorial, kick boxing bout in which screaming fans roar their approval when one of the gladiators is beating the other senseless.

Good post...Ron Paul is the only hope to re-join an America split by politics and hate. Ron Paul is true Americanism. Throw out the republican/democrat division. We need Ron Paul more now then ever before. A divided country will self-destruct eventually. I, for one have had enough of anti-American rhetoric coming from neo-conservatism. Conservative seem to slam their own, by slamming Ron Paul. Ron Paul 2008!!

It is such a joy to hear a politician speak who maintains a wealth of intellect, integrity, and big ideas. We really need someone like Ron Paul in the White House who can re-establish integrity into our political process, building around the basic tenets of individual liberty and the oath to follow the constitution.
