@emgpickups1990 just buy a sc motor or a 4.6 from a yard man, it'll be cheaper than doing the swap and be more reliable. If you put a supercharger on the NA 3.8 it wont last very long.
@him89 Why's that? The s/c stock 3.8's have the same internals im pretty sure, and my engine is really stout still. Compression on my weakest cylinder is 128 psi if im not mistaken, and doesnt leak or burn any oil whatsoever. I do have an idle problem though, figure its a sensor going out. Be doing fine sitting at a light, and it will drop the rpms. Happens a few times a week. I love the car, i'd hate to just pull out such a good engine with no place to store it out of the weather.
@emgpickups1990 Don't think so man, pretty sure the sc motor has lower comp pistons and stronger rods. You can always just sell your stock engine if you do a swap. I just suggest doing a swap bc it will be cheaper than supercharging your NA motor.
have a 1997 cougar 3.8, do you know where I can find a supercharger for it? Im not looking to spend over a grand, so a used one would be great
