I'm glad it was useful to you. What Yamatos lack in "playability", they make up for in sheer sophistication. They can be exhausting, though.

After being intimidated by it's awesomeness for about two weeks after getting it, I finally worked up the courage to transform my YF-21.

That was a hell of an ordeal, even with the how-to video. It's quite complex, and not intuitive at all. I advise EVERYONE attempting the transformation to take your sweet time, to make sure you don't damage something (I luckily got through unscathed).

If I remeber correctly, Robotech was where HG imported three unrelated stories from Japan, the first of which was Macross. I forget the Japanese name of the middle story, but the thrird story was Mospaeda. As far as I know the three stories are unrelated - hence the bad guys in Macross are Zentradi and the bad guys in Mospaeda are the Invid. Don't crucify me if I have that wrong, fanboys!

Actually, in Macross, Valkyrie refers only to the VF-1. The general term is 'Variable Fighter'.

Well, as it says at the beginning of the video - it is the 1/60 scale one. Wouldn't call it die-cast, though. I do plan on doing the YF-19 video soon. I don't have armor parts for the 1/48 VF-1, so that'll be a no on that one.
