  • Don't keep your glove down. have it up at all times. it will be easier for you to catch faster pitches. Even though you are a freshman in high school. When you get to a pitch that is 75-80 MPH your glove control will be key. and your blocking is good just try and get infront of the ball no matter how bad it may look. All that matters when your a catcher is that you are a "wall" back there, Look at the Brewers catcher, Jonathan Lucroy, He keeps the ball in front and the ball doesn't go far.
