For a guitar outfitted with a suspended tremolo, it sounds really warm on the clean channel. I like the progressions he is playing but that is because I can hear a lot of Steve Vai and some Satch influence. Maybe his original stuff will show a flare of self-indulgence.

@chickenoncheese unfortunately, dumb heads and fags number up to 700 million and more(because the easiest thing to do in life is to be stupid). We metal musicians don't make that number. So i think it's impossible with that kind of number. Sorry.

@lleumas in fact he did't play any minor chord after he made them lydian. actually for the first two chords, E and C, he didn't play the third or the seventh, but the raised fourth implies that it's a major chord. the other two, B and G, both had a major third and a major 7th. At least that's my take on it. I might be wrong

worst shit ever.. not his playing ME!!! i was following everything them i was like "oh, i guess ive discovered something new today, putting chords into modes"... so i try to put the E minor into Lydian which would playout as EGB.. simple enough... but there was C# in there somewhere and i nearly lost my hair just to find out nearly a year later its was an added 13th...

Nowadays mixturing styles is something you hear way too often. Bands or players think and say they're offering something new but they fail in they're work. Kiko is just amazing, you just have to listen to Universo Inverso. That record and all his solo work show he succeeds in combining brazilian music in his guitar playing. He's not only showing off how fast or how much theory he knows, he can really translate his ideas into beautiful music. Such an amazing musician.

@ialvarez357 I think he means he is just making the 4th of each chord lydian. the lydian mode is the major scale with and (sharp)#4.

@Borerges Essa fusão de estilos misturados com toques brasuca e regionais é novidade pros gringos. Ele ta mostrando uma parte dos nossos guitarristas brasucas, e os gringos tem interesse e valorizam isso, coisas de outras culturas. Eqto q nós ñ valorizamos os nossos. Realmente pra mim é o melhor guitarrista do mundo, existe muitos guitarrista pelo mundo otimos tambem ,mas o problema é que a maioria deles na criam cd solos só criam pra suas bandas e isso deixa a criatividade deles oculta! Por isso eu acho que kiko é o melhor , pq naum qualquer um que cria 4 albus solos com musicas lindas além de esta criando para o Angra a mais de 16 anos e fora os dvds ensinando , etc... Viva kiko lureiro colocando o brasil la em cima na guitarra!!!!!
