If a company announces a new project, the stocks are going to go up in that business, because stocks are the investments in that company's projects. When they say "I will not see Lorax because it is bad." They have now defamed another company's project to try and boost their own projects, and that is the definition of slander.

Our country is set up so that there is no monopolies(It's not just a board game.) and companies compete fairly by offering quality products. If you wanted something nice, and the reviews are great on the thing you want, but I tell you, you're not allowed to buy it because I said so. That affects the manufactures revenue.
