Even if it's not nearly as drastic as some people make it out to be, there's still a shitload of other reasons so reduce our fossil feul consumption besides global warming. While I don't agree with some of the overdramatization of global warming, or with some of the ways ppl have capitalized on it, what I think this has done at least is raise consumer consciousness and in turn raised the cheapness/quality of alternative fuel vehicles, and I see no real downside to a future of electric cars.
Running on feasible, renewable resources, that is. None of that corn ethanol or hydrogen fuel cell bs.
Also, just another thought: If all the world's oceans suddenly evaporated and all the animals die as some sort of hellish, catastrophic result of global warming, however ridiculous this is, I would want to make sure that humans played no part in it. Or I'd at least be able to say that we tried.

I apologize. Let me put this in simple terms for your tiny brain. Just because Co2 makes up Dry Ice does not mean that Co2 is good for the atmosphere. Dry ice is FLASH FROZEN Co2.
What Co2 does is allows UV (or ultraviolet in case you didn't know what that meant) light to enter the atmosphere as normal but acts as a mirror and keeps it from leaving. More UV rays staying in the atmosphere means higher global temperature (like a greenhouse!). Easiest way to explain it, sorry if it's too hard :-(

In the 70s they were pushing global cooling. They decided in the early 90s to start pushing global warming since a hot cycle was on it's way.
the earth does have natural heating and cooling cycles BUT NONE have been this warm and it also has been proven by scientist who actually study this area and they were NOT payed by Al gore or the government these were independent studies. And we didn't all of a sudden decided to start pushing global warming we didn't have an understanding of it before the 90s.

Even if it's not nearly as drastic as some people make it out to be, there's still a shitload of other reasons so reduce our fossil feul consumption besides global warming. While I don't agree with some of the overdramatization of global warming, or with some of the ways ppl have capitalized on it, what I think this has done at least is raise consumer consciousness and in turn raised the cheapness/quality of alternative fuel vehicles, and I see no real downside to a future of electric cars.

I apologize. Let me put this in simple terms for your tiny brain. Just because Co2 makes up Dry Ice does not mean that Co2 is good for the atmosphere. Dry ice is FLASH FROZEN Co2.
What Co2 does is allows UV (or ultraviolet in case you didn't know what that meant) light to enter the atmosphere as normal but acts as a mirror and keeps it from leaving. More UV rays staying in the atmosphere means higher global temperature (like a greenhouse!). Easiest way to explain it, sorry if it's too hard :-(

1. There have been recent studies done that state that global temperatures over the past 10 years have been declining, not increasing

Carbon dioxide is good but not in the amounts we have in the air now and there have been dozens of studies conducted by scientist and other countries proving that CO2 was the cause of global warming. And humans were the number 1 cause.

Part 2 of my reply. Secondly, even IF CO2 caused global warming, we humans produce less than 4% of all CO2 emissions. The majority is produced by rotting vegetation, the seas, etc. Thirdly, CO2 peaked in the 50s. Look it up for yourself. The planet has natural hot/cold cycles and sub-cycles. In the 70s they were pushing global cooling. They decided in the early 90s to start pushing global warming since a hot cycle was on it's way.

95% of gases that contribute to the "Greenhouse Effect" is water vapor. Of tha amount 99.999% of it is NATURAL (e.g. not made). Among climatologists this is common knowledge but among special interests, certain governmental groups, and news reporters this fact is under-emphasized or just ignored altogether.

Banging your face into a wall is your "American" right. Its not healthy and looks stupid from most reasonable perspectives. But if it will impress your friends, what the hay.

All I am saying is.... I am not the ones making videos of ppl who drive hybrids and saying how pussy they look. I am even more sick of how people seem to get so "high and mighty" when they talk about how much good they do for the earth. If someone out there can make a hybrid that can tow as much weight and melt the tires as fast as my truck, and doesn't cost more then $30,000 then show it to me. There is nothing wrong with power.

yea CFC's that's what I meant. Everybody needs to leave GM alone, they also produced the cobalt and G5. another thing they do get great mpg. the Z06 vette has 505 horsepower and gets 30 mpg and puts out so little hydrocarbons that they don't have to pay the extra "gas guzzler" tax. by the way GM was the first in america to have an electric car and it was cut due to lack of demand.

Going to private college doesn't make you better than someone who goes to a public one. The job market will still hire and fire you no matter where you got your education. And they don't put CFC's in hairspray anymore
