America did help the Brits, from the start they where supplying us, the reason we didn't storm in to Germany was because we KNEW we would need more men, and running in would be pointless. The French surrendered because they had to fight on two fronts after Germany used Belgium to march into France, they had no chance of winning. We Europeans use our BRAINS, and survey the situation, don't just run in. Not like America.

It fills me with so much pride to sing both Flower of Scotland and God Save the Queen. I am thankful to be born and bred a Scotsman, and to be British. Scotland on it's own would still be beautiful, but as part of the UK it is so special. I think my original, and quite valid, point was that you should just go to a secondary school and learn Gaelic. There's places you can go and study it. There are numerous native Briton languages that are now extinct and Scots Gaelic and Lowland Scots will be the next because people consider them "old fashioned" Plus you'd have the added benefit of being able to communicate in a language that most people couldn't understand.

Scotland on it's own would still be beautiful, but as part of the UK it is so special. I think my original, and quite valid, point was that you should just go to a secondary school and learn Gaelic. There's places you can go and study it. There are numerous native Briton languages that are now extinct and Scots Gaelic and Lowland Scots will be the next because people consider them "old fashioned" Plus you'd have the added benefit of being able to communicate in a language that most people couldn't understand.
