I am VERY proud & thankful to have been a FSM/FA for the greatest airline in all the world ...TWA. I was also on our Trauma Team for FLT.800, and proud to be TWA FAMILY :-) THANK YOU, KAYE, for a beautiful tribute to those we love so much !!! Linda ( Weaver ) Lewis

Kaye Chandler is commendable for her work! I left during the Carl icahn strike 86/87! I had vested 10 years with furlough and recalls, I was young and had the opportunity to join TR (Trans*Brasil) and left, for many years i followed the systematical liquidation of TWA assets and blunders too! The Ozark Air acquisition instead of updating the fleet, big mistake, who needs feeders without a reliable, profitable fleet, all we got was a bigger work force, some god forsaken routes & old DC9!
thank you lady bug i am tim taylor i was a TWA flight attendant and after the air france crash yeterday Dan callas was on my mind he was my 1996 class mate and friend this never leaves my mind. airline family especially TWA we were family i miss you all! thanks for this video it helped me remember. I miss you DAN Callas. All my love xoxo
We had two crews on board - the deadheading crew was scheduled to take the 747 on to Rome (I was part of the crew in Rome scheduled to work the flight back to Kennedy). In addition we had many TWA employees and their families on board.
Ironically - there was a crew in Paris non-routine that could have taken the plane on to Rome. The scheduler who decided to place the DH crew on the flight - quit his job shortly there after.
Wouldn't it have been easier to use the Paris Crew? Were they there to take back the next day's flight to JFK? Sorry I am asking these ?'s but I was only 6 when this happened.
Yes, but part of the F/A contract is to try to keep a working crew on their own original pattern. The Paris crew was non-routine, they had been out for several days and long over-due to return to base.
Normally this clause in our contract was to our advantage - unfortunately this was not one of those situations.
Great video I was only a kid but it was a great airline and I loved flying TWA. I remember because it was the only airline we flew on and I got my wings flying on it. The emloyees really took great care of there passengers. I will always remember TWA thanks for letting me watch you videos on the best airline in the World TWA.
It's a 747 on a long flight. Keep in mind the on-duty flight attendents and their replacements for later in the flight. Same goes for the flightdeck personnel.
I'm very moved by your presentations, Kaye and enjoyed your website regarding your TWA L1011 crash experience - SOOO very awesome! Everyone survived! I remember the night 800 went down. I was watching CNN and the stories I read about the crew, Janet Christopher particularly, who left behind a young son, moved me so much. These people didn't deserve to die. Anybody who knows anything about the 747-100 or avionics KNOWS the truth. And I'm sure the TWA family does as well. Nicely done, my friend!
A timeless memorial.. to the great folks of TWA.. by far and away the best of all US airlines... from check-in to check out.. the best I ever experienced in US carriers!
Thank you - if I can figure out how to upload a better quality of the tribute I will do so. This wonderful group of individuals represented TWA's finest. Now it is our job to keep their memory alive.

28 flight attendants including the two flight service managers. Pilots = 7 (one trainee).
Also 20 twa employees and their family members.
Several of the couples on board were married like Jacque and Connie Charbonnier.
NO other airline has suffer the extended loss of not only an airplane and its passengers, but TWA employees and family, almost 35% were TWA.
