  • the master crook

  • wrong on the bailout money the did secret money where did the money come from of the trees like my dad used to say o it fell out of the sky O just one the fairy god car mother droped of some money and gave the ceo 56 million dollars for a bounes dont fall for that bs do you homework secret money he's a master (CROOK)

  • I dont understand why management was simply allowed to opt out of their concessionary obligations, while the hourly people are being subjected to involuntary servitude by being forced to labor under theirconcessions?

  • @kraig47 because probably over the long term this will look good for Ford. They didnt take the bailout money, raping hardworking guys like me ( i work 60 hours a wekk minimum) and bailed THEMSELVES out. That makes me respect them more. I used to never consider a Ford to buy but now I am looking at the new Focus fo this reason.

Over the next few years Ford is going to sell the crap out of cars and the UAW knows this and will be get their due in time im sure. At least I hope so

  • I enjoy listening to how Alan Mulally is transforming Ford.

  • Thank you for this I never got to really listen to it.. .. !

  • well said...but unfortunately it looks like the time has run out between "it used to be" and "now".

  • uh huh... thats why you see toyota and honda begging for loans?... Ford woke up to reality a tad bit late...

  • Toyota and Honda are not U.S.-headquartered companies. They get plenty of support from their own governments already. And in case you missed the headlines, Toyota will post its first loss in 70 years. Obviously there's something systemic at work here.

  • They do get plenty of support from their government just not by loans. Asides from government aid, Americans are not stupid. Why the loan for the auto industry is so unpopular? Americans understand the fundamental reason why the 4 US companies are in hardship. Japanese and European auto makers are simply out competing.

  • rxchric913 - There are only 3 U.S. based companies - The "Big Three". Not counting truck and tractor companies, all the other auto companies are incorporated overseas.

  • Toyota balance sheets currently shows that they are much stronger then any of the 4 US auto companies. 1st quarterly lose for toyota was announced but they currently have much more reserves and funds to last longer than ford...

  • I believe Ford has shown real leadership and has long since changed the way it does business and research data proves it such as IIHS (16 Top Safety Picks), JD Powers Initial Quality and Long Term Dependability (Above Average) and Consumer Reports (Above Average, equal with Honda and Toyota in quality).

These things have taken years of work to implement to see these results. After being screwed by Chrysler long ago my family knows it can count on Ford and we appreciate it! Great Job!

  • Does that mean the Focus RS is coming to North America? Also, if Ford is looking to compete with other markets, then ditch the options of FWD or AWD for Lincoln vehicles and replace it with RWD or 4WD. Lincoln vehicles also don't quite have the performance specs a luxury vehicle should either, more power, better suspension and brakes would be a good investment. Even if it uses more gas, and premium fuel, it wouldn't matter.

  • Pass this along. People keep saying, they are making no changes! YES THEY ARE!

  • I love Alan, he's a true engineer and leader, not a bean counter. You can tell 100% that he feels like he's giving a report to his 5th grade class & hates to be there.

  • I hope all of the automotive industry companies can overcome this crisis.

  • I think selling Aston Martin, Jaguar, and Land Rover was a good idea. But I think that Mazda and Volvo are good names to have in the Ford Family.

  • I agree entirely

  • And here we go again: Bad video-frame ratio + No way to set it manually... This is beyond me - is YouTube here for first week???
