  • anyone notice how the paine of glass shatters at 9:12 before the even man hits it? Shockingly cheesy!!!

  • Red Foreman killed Murphy!

  • dude family guy wasnt kidding. they fucking annhilated this guy lol

  • The 80's was the decade of action movies: Rambo First Blood 1982 Rocky III 1982 Terminator 1984 Rambo II 1985 Rocky IV 1985 Commando 1985 Aliens 1986 Predator 1987 Robocop 1987 Rambo III 1988 Die Hard 1 1988
  • Welll... it was very unwise to bring ammo-loaded machine in there :P

  • i used to watch this movie everyday as a child hmmm maybe thats why im such a warped adult now...

  • love this movie. love the fact that it was so violent and they marketed it towards kids with the toys. I remember all the robocop toys when i was a kid. I watched tons of violent movies when i was a kid. now im aiming to become a screenwriter. paul verhoven rocks

  • The unrated DC scenes from RoboCop are so brutal. Its funny to see this again! Not everyone have seen this uncut. It is like in Animes or Mangas, to brutal for taking this serios. But it is one of my faforite Movies ever !!!

  • i usto think this was the funnyest movie in the world as a kid. lol fuc what was i thinking back then.

  • I Like red foremen he's funny calling those guys dumbasses but I'm gonna see him differently now

  • 1:58- 2:25 tore him up. Wut if ed aimed at the director?

  • Never thought Red would be a criminal. :D

  • as for PG-13 the first movie to usher that in was Indiana jones and the temple of doom. The heart rip scene upset alot of people, so the MPAA set forth the infamous PG-13

NC-17 not sure, but Bad Lieutenant was the first film I saw that was rated NC17 and that was from 1990.

  • the first scene looked uncut or something, or I have a cut copy. I saw this movie as a kid aswell, and don't recall his body being on the montage still being shot like that.

  • Once again you seem to be mistaken. The ratings board decided to give an X rating but it was never released that way, The producers gave the necessary cuts to allow the movie to be officialy released with an R. Basically the MPAA told the producers "Wer're gonna give your movie an X unless you make some cuts". The NC17 didnt exist at the time, it was created in 1990 and it was first given to the first theatrical release of Predator 2.

  • as a kid i must've watched this movie 1million times. jeez, watching now i realize how violence it has. damm

  • this movie was originally rated X for the violence cuz there was no R in the 80s

  • Yes there was R rating in the 80s. you must be mistaking it for the PG13 rating which wasn't around in the early 80s. This movie never officially received the X rating, the MPAA requested Verhoeven to trim a few scenes, which he did to fit an R rating theatrical release. There was never an actual X rating release. The R rating has been around since the late 60s by the way.

  • No i'm sorry, I ment the NC-17 rating, the peoducers had to tone down the blood in some of the scenes, especially Murphy's death scene. And yes, it was originally given an X rating, but the MPAA replaced it with the NC-17 rating.

  • This must be from the directors cut because theres things added to the scenes that ive never seen before, and ive seen this movie 1000 times, just not the cut material.

  • in Europe some scenes were reasonably deleted.

too much violence... my god. it's unbearable and dangerous

  • they should delete you

  • FORMAN's DAD ROX

  • ed 209 was the bomb

  • man if was in the badies situation why not try and shoot him in the mouth, cause its clearly left open out of the whole robocop body.

  • The explanation is that it's a "skin" over a metal frame so it wouldn't matter anyway.

  • haha to that main badie who gets taken care of by robocop.

  • and the first bit sucks where the volunteer is killed , it could really do without these kind of scenes.

  • films could do without the kinda scenes you feel sorry for.

  • man I felt well sorry when they shot murphy petter sellers is such a cool actor who can play characters well.

  • 80s gunplay/gore truly is a lost art. A real shame you don't see movies using gallons of fake blood and saturated with this sort of awesome nowadays.

And CG is getting better and better, but I'm with warana2, who says stop motion sucks?

  • who says stop motion sucks?

  • Holy cow! I had no idea this was the director's cut of this movie. I so love this movie! The only scene that wasn't shown in this montage was following Murphy's death they were putting Robocop together and the grocery store scene. Thanks again for this awesome montage! :)

  • i dont think they needed a medic for those situations....lol, the victim is dead for sure, if it's a human of course.

  • ....and I watched that as a kid !!

  • Oh my god, they killed Kinney you bastards!

  • wheres the one when the guy fell in toxic waste and got dismembered.

  • lok nest monster

  • Hahahaha! the bit at 8:24 when the black guy falls off going AGGGH! The bit after wards when he tried to get up and goes uggh is fucking hilarious. Never noticed it until now.

Me and my mates always rewind funny shit on DVD and watch the same clip over and over pissing ourselves. Anyone else do that?

  • Oh yeah, that is one of the ALL-TIME best reasons to own the DVD version of a movie, if not the all-time best reason.

  • I am going to vomit....

  • Was that a Wilhelm scream I heard?

  • all those people at GITMO need the mr kennedy treatment, only in front of a gatling gun!

  • Comment removed

  • good ole mr kennedy.

    dumb ass

  • wow that was sick my god

  • at the time this was a pretty graphic movie, I had to beg my folks to let me watch it, and they wouldnt let me. So I went over to a friends who had cooler parents.

by todays standards, this is tame in the gore dept.

it's just the they way some of the scenes where done that makes it stick with you.

the pornogore like SAW doesn't stick..it's just gratuitous without a reason.

  • i olny liked saw 1 fuck the others

  • I love the Director's Cut.

Where are films like this today ??

  • michael bay seems to take care of those movies.

    i mean hardcore movies.

  • lol its funny when women scream first in these films hahaa

  • why dont they make movies like this anymore???

  • I remember how scared i was of ed 209 when i was a kid watching this movie!! CLASSIC!

  • This was extended from the beginning of this video, 5 stars and Ed-209 scene was very gruesome, psychotic, and crazy. and so it's Murphy's death scene. The drug plant shootout was amazing and the score was excellent from the late Basil Poledoruis.

  • the whole reason robocop exists is because he had a woman for a partner

  • somebody wanna call a god damn paramedic?

  • kurtwood smith is awsome

  • lol! 8:18 Robo's like 'yeah bitch, do the robot!'

  • Ive always had a lot of questions from the ed 209 scene,

    1. Why were they testing it in an office

2 why was is not fully checked before bringing it in

3 why couldn't it have dis armed him by shocking him instead of shooting him 500 times.

4 why was it loaded in case a glitch did happen

5why didin't the people pull the plug earlier

6 why didn't he just run out the side door instead of staying in the room

7 why did everyone react so calmly

8why did the say call the paramedics when he was dead.

  • why don't you shut up and enjoy

  • i did

  • my thoughts exactly

  • 9 why didnt your mother abort you when shes pregnant

  • was the ed 209 scene from part 1 or part 2?

  • part one

  • lol how many times did they shoot murphy so much brutality

  • i LOVE the sound comming off of ed

  • What caliber are those machine-guns on ED? o.o

  • Hahahaha! the bit at 8:24 when the black guy falls off going AGGGH! The bit after wards when he tried to get up and goes uggh is fucking hilarious. Never noticed it until now.

Me and my mates always rewind funny shit on DVD and watch the same clip over and over pissing ourselves. Anyone else do that?

  • Can anyone explain how the ED 209 was animated?

  • straight stop motion man.

animated it in front of a green screen then later imported it into the live footage

  • It' was excelent, Incredible for the time. I admire the work that people did for this film. Is that technique still is used? There must be a lot of photographies taken for stop motion, how many about?

  • this technique is not typically used anymore. most animation has been taken over by 3d computer programs such as maya or cinema 4d. typical stop motion is done at around 24 frames a second but can vary anywhere from 12 to 29

  • you cut out the funniest line from the ed-209 scene. "dick, i'm very disappointed."

  • One of the best movies of all time!

  • I thought phisical force means to try and subdue the suspect...not make swiss cheese out of him

  • what a dumbass why should it even loaded in the first place

  • Hmm, lets continue to shoot the mechanical juggernaut as he keeps slaying the other guys....they deserved to die :)

  • 2:10 ahahaah

  • ROBO Fucked everyone up in the Drug Factory, Clarence badly too!

  • when i was little, i got really fucked up by the way murphy got killed. true!! i was 5 years old when i saw this movie for the first time, in 1994.

  • Haha i got freaked out when that guy got fucked up by the acid, I was about 5 as well but this was 1989!

  • these guys are insane loading a test robot with alive ammonation.

  • I like when he says "You're a good chop, hotshot ?"

  • I had no idea, Red, from that 70's show was in this movie

  • Kurtwood Smith was awesome in this film and he was great in the t.v. series, "That 70's Show!"

  • The scene where he dies is sooooooo unreal...i mean c'mon discharge 4 shotguns in a man and he is sure to die :|

  • Apparently human body is very durable. Sure this is an overkill, but assume that he wears a type III vest or sth similar, which is supposed to stop a 7.62 nato round. After his hand is blown Murphy goes into state of shock , thus adrenaline prevents him from dying, although I doubt that he would be able to stand the pain without losing consciousness. Even if; the vest prevents the bullets from penetrating the torso and allows the kinetic energy to spread on the ribs, breaking them. It does hurt.

  • O.O wowie...you sure know alot about guns

  • Well i agree with the vest..and he is a police officer witch might mean that he has a higher pain threshold explaining the fact why he doesn't faint. But just 1 round is enough to break the ribs at that range. Around 32 or so..no vest or human body for that matter is capable of resisting/surviving...but hey its a robocop movie so it doesn't necesarely mean that this would happen in real life too

  • I apologise is my english is a little incorect.

  • Johnny 5 can kick Terminator and Robocops ass

  • fucking dickheads. who shoots someone repeadetly and laughs? fucking shove a grenade up their asses

  • Just a quick question, why the hell are they testing a "Military Weapon" in a conference room, instead of say... a more safe environment such as a testing facility...

  • Yeah that's kinda weird but I guess it shows how arrogant they are. Would have been cool with a couple of scenes of them building and testing ED 209 before that scene just to give a better picture!

  • You're missing the fact that this whole movie is littered with Verhoeven's satire. Did you notice that Dick said "After a tour of Detroit, ED-209 will be THE hot piece of military equipment"? That's hilarious.

  • I almost puked when i saw alex get shot like that.

  • Two words..Red Forman

  • Why didn't Kinney just run out of the room by the side door, i never understood why he just stayed in the centre by ED-209..

  • lol 2:21

  • Robocop was one of the most graphic movies i have ever seen! also one of my favorites of all time!

  • haha 70s show 2100 AD

  • OCP for life

  • somebody call a goddamn paramedic

  • Death of Alex Murphy - Hey! it's Red form That 70's Show!

  • you got 15 sec ahahha lol!

  • nananananananananananana *shots guy*

  • Man the modern day gore just doesn't compare to the 80s gore, something so brutal and realistic about it!

  • because in modern day the gore is made for gores sake and not like in the 80's were the gore was made to emphasize a scene

loads of bad cgi today too

  • Yeah i agree.

I did mean by the way the film looks and stuff, that old 80s look.

  • Yeah call a parademic on that guy someone. He might be still alive.

    XD

  • *paramedic

  • I don't know if anyone else noticed but between 2:18-2:22, where they show the guy pulling the wires to stop ED-209 and then showing the guy getting shot to death even more on the table with all that blood, the movie I own doesn't show that part.

I don't know if that was taken out in the final version or something.

  • I remember when this wasnt an old movie,I saw with my dad the first day it opened in 1987.I was 11

  • i was surprised to see Jill Hennessey from Crossing Jordan in Robo 3 as one of the main characters

  • Kurtwood Smith from that 70's show is a certified fucking badass in the first robocop.

  • That first scene, that guy got PWNED!

  • Guys shooting as a execution squadron.. 18sec of continuous gunfire with shotguns, and cop just stays alive. I like realistic movies like this.

  • LOL! everyone freak out at 0:38! LOL!

  • can anyone put a link, or just tell me how they took his hand and his arm off????

cuz, today, even a idiot can use after effects to make a person armless but you can see that this scene don't use any computer effect. How can they do That???

    plz answer me

  • 1) They made a fake arm/hand with fake muscle, flesh and bone that could be pulled off using monofilament, the hand was poped off at the wrist using compressed air

    2) They tucked peter weller's arm into his side and behind his back

    3) placed the fake arm onto his shoulder using a rig

    4) Ran blood tubes through the arm

    5) ACTION!!! And there you go :)

  • thank you so much, i was soooo curios, i wanted to know where The heel they putted(is that right putted??) his real arm

that explains that weird bulletproof something( is waitcoat??)

    thank you

  • Yes, an idiot can make a person armless in after effects, thats why there is an entire profession where professionals get paid real world salaries for doing said tasks. Pleasee, show my yourself armless in your next after effects presentation

  • I"ve heard that there"s a version of Murphy"s death when at the end Lewis shoot him in the head to finish his suffering. Maybe is a lie. Clarence...very underated villain. This movie was great, it"s very hard for the new one to top it.

  • Yes there is a version where he shoots him in the head, its in the unedited directors cut

  • OOO I"m looking for that version. Thank"s.

  • yeah, the version that your talking about, is the one i have on VHS. he shoots him in the head.

  • Thank"S I"m getting that one.

  • why the fuck didnt they just leave him dead i mean come on look how fucked up that nigga got

  • lol ED-209 OWNED!

  • damn...classic..

  • OMG! ED-209 - I remember having nightmares about ED-209 he still scares me to this day. And i still cant watch Alex Murphy death it way to intense.

  • Yeah, that shit is too much! I saw it for the first time when it came out and haven't seen it again until just now. Why the hell did I watch it again? fuckin murphy, dude.

  • I was trying to find out why this was R, even though it looked pg-13, now with the mech assault looking robot killing that guy, now I know

  • la matanza a murphy es de lo mas sangriento del cine

  • OMG those bad guys laughing in the 2nd scene sucks soooo bad, it's so annoying and fake. Why couldn't they act like badass bad guys rather than laughing bad guys?!

  • 9:12 the glass breaks before he goes through it. is that possible?

  • safety glass?

  • Someone was holdin out, I saw this movie where there were deleted scenes in ED 209 and Alex Murphy.

  • i was like 10 when i saw this, those scenes are as scary now (at 30)as they were back then. Awesome film. "does it hurt...?"

  • U HAVE 15 SECOND TO COMPLY

  • I like how ED-209's voice deepens as it gets angry.

"Please put down your gun ^_^"

    ...

    "DROP YOUR WEAPON >:( RRRRRRRGH"

  • hahaha

  • Dick Jones kinda looks like the Cowboy's owner Jerry Jones!!!!

  • It's one of the most violent films I have ever seen. I watched it in grade 2 and it completely blowed my mind! Robocop defines the 80's action genre. A masterpiece.

  • LOL! i was also in 2nd grade when this came out and was absolutely traumatized by murphy's murder. this is one of the best scifi movies of all time.

  • probably a really stupid question, but the handgun that robocop had, is that like a real gun, or made up for the movie?

  • Its a real gun, but the added an extended slide because it didnt look mean enough :) Good call i say lol

  • YOU HAVE 20 SECONDS TO COMPLY

(btw anyone seen the uncut version of this)?

  • the unrated cut is a bit longer, just adding a bit more blood and guts to the movie. worth seeing just for that. haha

  • 'somebody call a paramedic!' - GENIUS

  • you killed kenny you bastard!

  • "point it at ED209"

yeah. . . I guess Mr.Kenny should have kept pointing the gun at Dick Jones. . . maybe even take a shot

  • ED is awsome!

  • Maaaan that first scene FUCKED me up when I was a kid.

  • i'm 20 and i've been a robocop fan since i was 6,this is first time watching directors version, and i think the shooting of mr Kenney was unneccesarily brutal

  • The extended shooting up of Mr. Kenney's body is what originally gave this movie an X rating.

  • I know this movie so well. Its been one of my all time favorites but I've NEVER seen the shooting of Mr Kenney (on the table) and he pulling of the plug (by Dr McNamyre)

  • The Drug plant shoot out was by far the best action sequence ever filmed. We should be thankful that we get to see this.

  • Haha such memorable quotes...

"Come quietly or there will be..trouble"

    "Aw FUCK YOU!"

  • haha a fucking PARAMEDIC?!?!?! how bout a powerhose to spray to blood off the floor and walls

  • the military would just love to have an oversized robot who growls like a lion and is defeated by flights of stairs.

    Oh 1987, how I missed you. =D

  • Good old 80's over the top action violence.Jeez i missed those days :(

  • Whomever uploaded this you are the fuckin' man! prob top 5 favourites films for me. nice one on the HQ audio/video too.

  • the best part is near the start of when they realize the money is all burnt that shit was classic

  • Oh yeah, i should have put that in its classic "YOU BURNED THE FUCKING MONEY!!!!" lol

  • Hard to believe Peter Weller was 40 at the time of filming, he looks like he's 20

  • the ED-209 scene is just the greatest of them all :D

  • the scene where they kill Alex is so intense..it reminds us of how cruel people can really be..with gun or without

  • with the alex death

    reminds me

that im no wanna be a police

    D:

  • your so right XD

  • that ed 209 scene is funny as hell. it cracks me up how scared they are of that robot

  • DON'T TOUCH HIM!!!.

  • i'd be scared too he'd fuck you up
