as you know, BCAAs are added into many protein supps. But did you know that all proteins contain single-chain amino acids, which the body can make into branch chain amino acids if need be?
You may hear the term "Essential" amino acids, which means that the body cannot produce them on it's own. You need to ingest proteins from your diet in order for you body to make them. DOESN'T HAVE TO COME FROM A BCAA SUPPLEMENT (that's just another little white lie the supplement companies tell you)
BCAA's are a scam you don't need any extra bcaa's than what you already get in all of your protein sources, you are just wastin your hard earned money and giving it to rich bodybuilding companies
@MyFastMoney Well, that would totally goes against what just about every strength/bodybuilding authority has said. If your a regular person, go to the gym, to the normal crap that most people do, maybe you don't need them.. But, if your a bodybuilder or looking to gain muscle, do you need them, NO, but will they help alot, YES. They will help.
Hi, Amazing video, I haven't understood yet the way BCAA's work, excellent explanation.
I would like to ask you, how could I use my BCAA's I lift weights @ 5 am. and on M/W/F I train MMA,
Could I use my BCAA's in MMA training, since Im getting solid foods after my weighlifting session? I take Glutamine and Creatine after whlifting.
How many BCAA's should I take? My MMA training is 1.5 hours length, I tried to use Powerade, But now I wanna burn fat. Thanks a lot, love your explanation!
@JoshitoBonso You could use them during MMA training (in your water?). Average dosage is 2 - 4 capsules (depending on brand) of approx 3000 mg of Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine combination. In a 1.5 hour workout, you could do the dosage before and during (whole protein after). However, I wouldn't recommend lifting on an empty stomach - cardio can be fine tho. If fat loss is your goal, use whole-food source of clean carbs post workout. Skip the Powerade, HFCS is nasty! Thanks for watching!! :)
I have problems with Why Protein basically giving me bad digestion, gas and bloating etc. Ive tried different brands but they all do the same. Ive know for a long time that Amino Acids are the building blocks of protein, but could i take BCAA pills instead of Whey Protein, and get the same growth/benefits? Thanks.
And I don't see the point in having 3+ jars of stuff at your house when you only need one, I have a muscle tech bottle, Helps wiith strength/muscle building/muscle repair, pretty damn close to a steroid, is it weird that I see results in less then 2weeks? A freaked me out first time I took it, honestly I don't see why you would take anymore then Protien/Creatine if you lift 5-6 maybe 7 days a weak, ecs
40% is lifting,30% is eating,30%, see sleeping is the part people don't understand, when you sleep the body creates creatine and it that to repair damaged or slightly injured muscles, why take protien? Because the amount of creatine made is not enough, you only make as much as you need, and Food, if you lift and sleep your 6hours but go eat tons of junk food then you are only gettig 70% of what you could be getting, so if you subtract any of the 3 you are losing results.
Thank you miss, I needed to know this , but i have question what about Glutamine ? Does it also do the same job as BCAA's? And I use a Amino acids pills, they are blend of total 17 Aminos , it covers Leucine, isoleucine , valine etc.
Some people r saying its gud for cutting etc..right now I m bulking.
So i use aminos pre n post and glutamine in morning and at night.
@mproductionsmusik Old comment, but i'll reply or the hell of it. Supplementation of BCAA's depends on what you are doing. If your doing early morning fasted cardio, then I would say drink a product such as Xtend before you do cardio. If you workout at 4 PM, I would say either once again drink a product such as Xtend during your workout (which I recommend), or post workout.
@NJnaturalBB thanks for replying even if it was a long time a go :P finally i have tested taking BCAA at bedtime or at night and i dont have problem falling a sleep so iam ok :) iam taking BCAA every time i feel the need to eat between meal and during my workout and also at bedtime. thanks again!
@mproductionsmusik BCAA's aren't exactly going to give you energy as much as say caffeine would, so it doesn't matter what time you take it in that sense. How many grams of BCAA's are you taking each serving? I would recommend 10 grams per day max, especially if your a male because your going to be eating A LOT of amino acids from your food, in fact some nutritionist say BCAA supplementation is useless because of how much meat we eat in order to gain muscle, but I still supplement with BCCA's
first of just ike to say i think your really attractive :). secondly with BCAA's i've been going through a bulking cycle the last 6 months and now it's summer i'm going through a cutting cycle were i have added cardio to my workouts 3 times a week after weight training do i take bcaa's and then cardio. :) thanks
so if you take a supplementation of BCAA's in your body, does that also mean that you will be required to consistently buy them to maintain that growth, I realize that this is just your input based on the potential candidate that would be interested in a longer haul to increase muscle but what about someone looking to just reach a goal then revert back to healthy training to maintain it? would I be required to keep taking BCAA supplements to simply maintain an ideal goal?
Agreed. My concern is if you supplement with BCAA will it make your body reach out for those fat reserve during intense workout instead and spare muscle? I am assuming you are in a calorie deficit and your body is desperately looking for energy sources. You depleted glycogen AND the bcaa you supplemented while working out. Now what ? Why would it break down fat and not more muscle once BCAA is used up ? You are in a calorie deficit and this issue wont arise if you had a lot of food to eat.
yeah shes cute, and more importantly seems like a real sweetheart id marry her :) where u at , i come get u and bring u to Canada. you can lecture me on bcaa everyday :) cheers
I use HMB and it works great on me. BCAA is very good too as far as i heard , watched, and read about it. I think it's high time to spend some money on BCAA. However i will stay faithfull to HMB.
Thanx for the explaination, i know i need to incorprate BCAA's into my diet, my problem was The next morning I would look and saw that I came down to fast, ( loss of muscle mass). Hopefully this will do trick keeping my hard earned muscle.

She's gorgeous looking, I didn't learn anything the first time cause I was very distracted by her beauty, I'm gonna have to watch it a few more times.
well it really depends on when u do cardio. most ppl get scared that by running they will lose muscle mass. i take bcaa's before i do weight training and after. I also follow this process when i run. pre and post
when you work out, your muscles use energy thats in the blood, when this has run out the body can start to use muscle as energy to fuel the same or other muscles by converting them into BCAA, however, if you take a supplement your body will use these BCAA instead of breaking down the muscle you have worked hard in gaining!!!
I have had possible depression and lethargy, possibly because they can inhibit dopamine and seratonin production. They can also cause an imbalance of amino acids in people, especially those that are sensitive to anxiety and depression. Read about it on the net and you'll see what I mean.
Maybe I'll just take one a day to see if it causes any problems.
study it up, but no not that i have ever come across, its a natural compound in the body, its also found in small doses of some multivitamin suppliments so therefore u can add BCAA's into your diet without too much concern. I would suggest using dymatize BCAA's / amino acids
Basically it sets up an environment where it's extremely likely that your body will use the free flowing BCAA for energy, much like it would if it broke down muscle for free flowing BCAA's. There's a theory that suggests a higher concentration of BCAA's in the blood signals the body that muscle has ALREADY broken down, and therefore can "encourage" the body to use and alternative source -- fat. ok in layman's terms how do u maintain ur muscle mass? in these recession times when i can't afford all my protein, i'm down to 177 from 188 in about 2 weeks
eat eggs..you can afford that right?...and peanuts, they are cheap..unsalted....it sucks but you gotta do what you gotta do...i add raw eggs to protein shakes
i'm probably down to 170 or naybe less i can tell cuz i look really cut but havent been to the gym in about 3weeks cant go cuz no food and no money to pay fees, but thanks i will try that,
thanks man, got thru the rough times and i'm back in the gymn happy to see i gained the weight back faster this time. thanks 4 the pointers, i do a shake with some oatmeal and a banana i saw bj penn doing it on spike tv and just copied. lookin nice right now back up to 185

Thanks for the compliment! lol The whey is good for p.w.o.-- but here we're talking about getting a constant supply of BCAA's while actually working out (and a bit before). Plus, BCAA's (amino acids) are the building blocks of protein, just a special kind -- branched chain. So, to throw in some BCAA's into the p.w.o shake? why not? Good thing if you don't use BCAA's otherwise. But it's probably not really necessary if you are already BCAA savvy (although it's cheap, looks good on the label!)

The body is so dynamic, but we try to create a picture of how it works, the best we can :) Thannks!
