Got me listening to the old stuff again (Alladin Sane etc.) He quickly threw that band together but they came across as one of the tightest of the day.

@peetludlow and that's a surprise because the 80's were musically his worst period (Let's Dance, Tonight, Never Let Me Down (urgh), Labyrinth,..) - and he was still better than (almost) everyone else.

But Bowie is a fantastic entertainer (and a great comedian), the word "cool" must have been invented for him.
