  • iceflowStudios tuts rocks!!!

  • Great work, nice and easy :)

  • awesome!

  • Very off topic.

Im getting sick of people complaining about ads. You get a freaking free service where you can upload your videos and share with the world. And you can browse video like this and be entertained, or like I did here, learn something new.

You get all this for free, yea you even get free music from artists thru Vevo.

And all this you pay 0 money for, so would a 30 sec add now and then(rarely even) hurt you that bad?

  • Oh... A really good video, im not the best in english, but I understood every word of you! Thx, its helpfull

  • Stupid ads at the beginning, YT is such a corporate whore now.

    Thanks for the tut! :D

  • @BlueChaos100 FireFox with AdBlock Plus + NoScript.... What ads? :D

  • @blahtoausername Oh cool, thanks for the tip! But how do I go about blocking the little popup ads that are at the bottom of the video? Thanks.

  • @BlueChaos100 I don't see those either. No Script solves that issue too.

  • @blahtoausername Oh ok, thanks.

  • damn adds

  • awesome video.. Thanks mate

  • thank you!!!

  • awesome video! thanks! very clear and helpful!

  • One word - Fabulouse !

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH I NEVER KNEW U NEEDED TO CHOOSE PATH

  • I assume you're using a tablet. If so, what kind do you use??

  • great tutorials, where did you learn all of this.

  • Great tutorial!

  • @ProduceJuice I've just discovered this tutorial on youtube. I'm sure it's good but as I watch I try to do similar stuff to teacher and it's not filling in with the black section like he shows it. Why? I fear teacher is assuming everyone just understands the little point & clicks he's doing w/o real explanations. Anyone understand how/why that black section fills in as he clicks away?

  • @quantumpolice That is because you have the "paths tool" selected at the top left of your photoshop, you have to click on "shape layers"! Please check out my tutorials! Remember you can only access these settings by having the pen tool selected!

  • @ProduceJuice Hmmm. I see. I'll have to play around with that. Right now I'm having a hard time keeping up with the teacher explanation of making sharp corners. I'm having very minor successes, however I feel I'm on the verge of a major success in understanding photoshop. I've been squibbling aorund photoshop for 6 years now never once using the pen tool. It's just been sitting there. I have a feeling if I ever learn it will become a very useful tool in my design creations, right?

  • @quantumpolice Yes I do think you will go far if you begin to learn and understand in depth of photoshop. Would you like me to create a in depth tutorial of the pen tool?

  • @ProduceJuice That would be awesome. My main issue is to be able to go in and recreate crappy art that people give me. I print t-shirts. Many people give me art work that is very old- jpeg images or pictures of old worn out designs. It really takes a long time to go in the jpegs and redesign stuff with curves & junk. Takes so long and then the curves always show unclean cuts that don't look smooth. I believe the pen tool might be the solution to all of that & I can also do other cool rounded art

  • THANKS FOR A WONDERFUL IDEA....

UR SO GREAT !!! LOVE U

  • someone answer, is the pen tool very important for logo making?

  • @useurcamera well if your making designs then probably yes

  • Fantastic! this was giving me a real problem and i could only half use the pen tool. I couldn't get curves right, because i didn't understand it. Anyway, thanks for the great tutorial!

  • at last something usefull about the pen tools lol thz man

  • This helped so much, thank you!!

  • i love you seriously, your the fucking greatest man, thank you!

  • Great tutorial! Thanks!

  • great tutorial man ;)

  • You rock,.....

  • EXCELLENT, THANK YOU

  • REally Thanks!

  • great tutorial!

  • ..wow..thanks...now i have an idea how to use it....your clip was good... not like the other was fast forward mode..diff. to understood it clearly...by the way do you have website or any other site to see more of your stuff on photoshop?

  • where do you get all of your images to use? Is there a stock images program?

  • YES.

    YES.

    YES.

    5*

  • Hm.. it doesn't work for me that Simulate Pressure..

The line stays the same size... whole the time..

  • @poepzakraket Go into your brush settings and set the width of the brush to change depending on pen pressure. You can also do other things like set the opacity to change under different pressures. I'm not sure if it lets you do these things without a pen installed, though.

  • GREAT DUDE! awesome.! thanks by the way

  • hey guys help me, i wanted to post this but it was getting an error

  • no man, my father scolds me if i download it freely bcoz its not legal. He saw me trying to download it and asked me whether i wanted it, then i asked for it and he bought it. I am from India.

  • lol

  • Great tutorial! Needed a refresher to help re-acquaint myself with dreaded 'pen tool' and this was clear, well-explained and straight to the point. Its been saved to my favourites, thank you.

  • What the hell is the pen tool for? lol. No offence but who wants to make black oranges? xd Please respond^^

  • glow effect, etc.

    very cool tool

  • @MerryXbox

Anyone who knows anything about Photoshop knows that the pen tool is one of the most useful tools to have, especially for graphic and web design. It's used to create complex shapes and the rest like curves or really weirdly-shaped polygons, it's not just used for making "black oranges". He was illustrating how to use it make and refine curves. The oranges were an example so you might have missed the point of the video a bit.

  • Lol in that case i missed the whole point ;) I'll watch a tutorial of this so i might see what its good for.

  • Thank you very much ...I have searched this tutorial all night long ...you are the best of photoshop ;)

  • Yeah man! This tutorial was excellent. 5 stars. I am just a small boy and new to photoshop.Ive bought cs4 and thanks very much...

  • liar u download it free from internet like everyone =) lol

  • This is one of the last guides where I learn a thing in Photoshop.

    Thank you very much

  • yep pen tool is the mos difficul but if u learn it the cut of the pen tool is the best

  • This is such a helful tutorial- thanks so much! :D

  • Thank you very much for the tutorial, as weird as it may seem I've been using photoshop (not in a pro manner) for about 10 years, but I've never gotten around to using or understanding the pen tool, but this tutorial really cleared a lot of questions i had about its use. Thank you very much and keep the tuts coming.

  • NICE!

  • cooooooooooooooooool

  • Thank you so much

  • i always mess up with alts, shifts, controls, and all possible combinations..

fortunately theres undo, because i always end up doing the same thing twice or three times untill i find the right shorcut

    nice tutorial

  • My pen tool is set to paths but just keeps adding lines and wont let me make curves?! i dont know how to fix it! Anyone? Help Howard! :)

    P.S Love your vids :D

  • hold down ur cursor when you put down a new "checkpoint" or something, don't know what to call it

  • tis called an "anchor" just here to help =]

  • before releasing the mouse (after you clicked and added a dot) you'll see the line. if you then move your mouse arround, you'll create the vector that will make that straight line a curve

  • lol, WOW! I had no idea it did so much, thank you man!

  • THANK YOO SO MUCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I've been struggling with that tool for years! Always used marquee tool instead but you made it understandable in 9 min! Thank you!

  • Thank you. I had some problems and you just shown how to solve them. Thanks again.

  • AWESOME!
