The lack of "spirit" is a human saying. But ultimately, 100 to 300 years from today, most of the large, majestic creatures like elephants, orang-utans, tigers, lions, wild dogs, etc. will only live in human memory & videos; they require enormously large, open-ended, healthy ecosystems in the wild. But humans have taken practically all of them, destroying the rest, so releasing even sturdy & healthy ones into the "wild" won't do them that much good.
such an amazing beautiful planet and animals and we are destroying it at a pace that the future generations will know nothing but cold asphalt, steel and unkind stressed out people. We have all the reins in our hands to make it great again but without compassion to unite our plans we are scr*wed. Now all we need is for the crazy chinese to destroy buddhism which is the main source of the philosophy of compassion and we are really ruined as a race
