There is no just cause for Hamas actions and to downplay the terrible crimes they have committed is wrong. If you ask the truly innocent Palestinians and Gaza citizens (who do NOT support Hamas) who have been victims of their tyranny what they thought of Hamas, most are scared to speak out against them. Why are they scared? Because they know they will set bombs, fire at them, and other barbaric crimes.
Hamas has always stated, even prior to this, that they support the idea of destroying Israel and taking over it as a Islam soverign state (think of Zionism, but in reverse) and once in control, they would allow for churches and mosques to be there, but strangely enough not temples. What kind of freedom is that truly? That's just an Arabic/Islamic form of Zionism that equally should not be tolerated or accepted.
I really don't know what Israel should have done - but I don't like that innocent Palestinians and Israelis have been killed on both sides. Like I said, its a very complex problem that no simple solution will solve, not even the Democrat President Jimmy Carter could appease Hamas.
My personal two cents in regards to the matter would be that Israel could have tried to prove its innocence and that it was Hamas who was being the aggressor. Instead of killing the 6 armed Hamas militants, they could have presented them to the United Nations as proof that Hamas did break the ceasefire by illegally crossing into Israel to steal weapons for their personal usage. But I doubt that would have given them much headway.

Because on the one hand, had Israel completely done nothing (in response to the Hamas rocket attacks) - that would still leave them open to further attacks from Hamas in future (which it stated it would do) and would be a generally foolish move to take. But on the other hand, if they want to take out JUST the militants (who unfortunately do hide in amoung the citizens of Palestine and especially in the Gaza strip), they couldn't go in on foot into every single house.

Although I do not agree that a violent reaction to this occupation is right, I do understand their anger and frustration in doing so. The majority of people fled their homeland peacefully and have been unable to return. To get an honest perspective on this situation you need to factor in the reasons for the violence on all sides and the intensity. What Israel has done to Palestine does not equally compare to what Palestine has done in it's defence.
It's horrible how subjective this video is - it's almost a crime! Somehow the video "forgets" that all wars was initiated by arabs - and that occupation was a result of israeli victory in these wars.

My personal two cents in regards to the matter would be that Israel could have tried to prove its innocence and that it was Hamas who was being the aggressor. Instead of killing the 6 armed Hamas militants, they could have presented them to the United Nations as proof that Hamas did break the ceasefire by illegally crossing into Israel to steal weapons for their personal usage. But I doubt that would have given them much headway.

Not all those of the Jewish background and faith believe in killing innocent people, unlike the organization Hamas - where they have killed even their own citizens and other terrorists groups over the years. Also, radical Palestinians have committed terrible crimes over the years towards Israel- like the Hebron Massacre of 1929, the 1920-21 Palestine Riots, and the 1939 Arab revolt in Palestine. (Those are just a few prime examples)

Its very complicated issue. Because on the one hand, had Israel completely done nothing (in response to the Hamas rocket attacks) - that would still leave them open to further attacks from Hamas in future (which it stated it would do) and would be a generally foolish move to take. But on the other hand, if they want to take out JUST the militants (who unfortunately do hide in amoung the citizens of Palestine and especially in the Gaza strip), they couldn't go in on foot into every single house.

The video does not mention that the UN proposed a peaceful division of land that the Jews accepted and the Arabs rejected, choosing instead to attack and eradicate the Jewish state through force. It fails to mention that Israel gave Egypt the Sinai back because Egypt signed a peace treaty with Israel. It fails to mention that the Arabs chose war and that Israel was in the position of either fighting or being annihilated. This is a classic example of propoganda.

What a crock of propganda horseshit this video is, but if you are looking at the history at least you are interested in learning, just now try to learn the truth.
The land was largely unoccupied. Jews paid for land from the ottomans, they started building and created jobs so arabs came from egypt and transjordan.

Forgivng is one thing. Yes we must forgive as it says in the Quran, however, we need them to give us some of the land back. At the current stance of things. 50% of the land and water resources should be split to both sides. Even though Palestinians were occupied forcefully, ending this is top priority, so that maybe in the future, one state could be made to develop both nation were you can be free and practice what you want and what you choose, where racism has no existence.

Although I do not agree that a violent reaction to this occupation is right, I do understand their anger and frustration in doing so. The majority of people fled their homeland peacefully and have been unable to return. To get an honest perspective on this situation you need to factor in the reasons for the violence on all sides and the intensity. What Israel has done to Palestine does not equally compare to what Palestine has done in it's defence.
