The Citrus County Sheriffs Dept is the biggest waste of tax dollars ever, and it's getting worse. Dawsey has the comission and old people eating out of his filthy rich hands. They dupped Inverness out of the best commercial site in town for their building ,and helicopters they didn't need. The old people patrol, Citizens On Patrol (COPS) do a better job for free! No crime = bogus arrests for speeding, DUI, and pot posession to justify their rediculous useless existence in Citrus County.

Honor & respect is NOTICED for those deputies who, by doing their job RIGHT, show our community that they are professional & there to help. Dep.Melhado is a fine example how deputies should handle most situations while serving our community.There are others who deserve to be named for the sacrifice made for our community to keep it a safe place to live. If others would handle themselves as this deputy does, we would have less problems with CCSO & CCSO would have A LOT less problems from people!!
This picture you have painted of the CCSO doesn't apply to the majority of CCSO deputies. There are few, very few, that fit your description. Most of the deputies professionalism and courtesy are seriously lacking.(example-Off.Ruby)They are rude, uncaring, extremely unprofessional & power-hungry apes that desparately need a class in human diversity. The older, experienced cops are polite, caring and even if they come across adversity,it's handled it with professionalism,courtesy and try to help.
I would like to take this moment to thank you for this video. Rarely do we hear appreciation from those we serve. Its nice to see that there are still people in this world that are grateful for the sacrifices we make. So often its the opposite. You did an excellent job and though I do not work for that Sheriff's department I can honestly say it's an honor to have citizens such as yourself taking the time to do nice things for the one's who serve you.
