Question: from the time you posted the video, has the sound stopped working? I want to get one, but I'm a little iffy if useing the hidden sounds breaks it after a few days.

The button you click when it's extended is what I do aswell, it's not very realistic with the bottom bit... Nice review!

by the way, instead if fitting your thumb in the gap to reach the small button, if you pull back on the spring slightly this will hit the other button within the mechanism

The big reason I don't like the new sonic screwdriver is because its really big and bulky. I like the smaller sleek one form the ninth and tenth doctors.

Ive already destroyed my third one of those. it pissed me off soooo much. there was somthin a-wrong with the sound board. and the sound broke completely when i used the 'secret sounds' and the thing made no noise at all after that. so on thursady i bought the scredriver set from argos for 14.99. the sound is shite and it dosent extend like the toy and too be honest that dosent bother me. the upside is ive had for three days now and it still works fully and the bottom half is metal :D

why is this product £15!? Its a small plastic toy thing , and a cool looking one might I add , but why is it that price?! its embarrassing for doctor who! I remember getting the tennant screwdriver for like £10 , but £15 - £20 is a disgrace! imagine how many people such as myself cant afford to spend that amount of money for that!

@ApplePanda94 yes you right, there is two, but if you look up the replica you will find out that it is metal and is good enough to bee on the show , but it does also have screwdriver attachments, so you cant open doors but you can defentaly fix a plug with it, when it is released i will be getting it and doing A detailed review so subscribe and you will see it, by the way it is released late august.

I noticed in the argos catalogue there are two of these. One is a £15 "toy" and the other is a £20 replica. They look exactly the same on the picture. What's the difference?

its not gold plated its brass. the screwdriver and tardis are slightly steampunk.

@mariaomnomnom it is plastic but the only metal bits are the screws. although they have recently release a prop version which is all metal and still makes the noises and lights up plus if thats not enough tit has a scredriver at the end. so you might not be able to save the world but you can fix a plug with it.

I just received mine here in the States. But it looks like the bonus sounds have been removed from the sonic screwdriver. I now only does standard two sounds. No scanning or faulty sonic sounds.
