I've read it. Millar says it's exactly the same for the first 40 minutes. I think that's when he sold it, when he'd only written the first two installments of the comic, with the understanding that the film writers were going to branch it out into a parallel and alternate universe. I'm all for it. Both premises look really interesting and they may be able to unite universes if it goes to sequels.
