  • Q. What is the dynamic range of a bass trombone?

    A. On or Off!

  • it is better then the bbc !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • PICK THAT "F*****G DRUM UP YOU 'ORRIBLE LITTLE MAN"

  • @mrtreebus Next question:- The last man in line to turn behind our drummer friend also seems to be lacking a musical instrument, he just seems to be having a good look around. Is he there to make up the numbers or could there be a bugle hanging behind his right arm?

  • @MrGoldsable You are correct, that is a Bugle on his right side.

  • @mrtreebus Thank you for your fast response, and your compliment. Yes that's him, I googled his name and rank then brought up images.. I would never have recognized him from under the bear skin but the row of 5 medals are exactly the same. He doesn't look like he's got grey hair. lol

  • About 2 or 3 men in front of our drummer friend there is what appears to be a very well built officer with a sword but no musical instrument. I have noticed him before in other videos marching along The Mall with the band.. Anybody know what purpose he is serving?

  • @MrGoldsable mmmmmmmmmm?

Good one , He is a Major of the Scots Guards , they do have officers in the mass bands and most are flautist's however I also can't see an instrument, so this would lead me to believe it is the Director of Music: Major Douglas Robertson. Well spotted ;-)

  • The neutral slow march is "Nairac, GC" by Stuart Watts and John Lewis. It's very beautiful.

  • nice shot nice band

  • Next time, try to get a little closer, would you? ;-) Very nice video - and the Grenadiers Slow March is such great march.

  • are you sure the music in this fragment is 'scipio'? I'm dying to know the title of the march in this fragment but it's really not scipio...

  • 1st march = scipio

2nd march hazelmaine i think its called nt sure bpout tht though

3rd march its a neutral march thts all i know it may be trafalgar

  • what is the music played when the guards performing right form at the halt??

  • I aasume this was a practise as there is no Monachs flag flying ??

  • @grooverheliboy it says in the description that it was the Colonels review.

In conclusion yes it was "practise"

  • @itssfergy Note to self...engage brain beofre opening mouth !! :>>)))

  • @itssfergy Note to self...engage brain before opening mouth !! :>>)))

  • Totally brilliant to see the Trooping from a completely different angle. Gave great insight into the band.

  • whats the title of the tune on drums and fifes??

  • @TurboRatownik

The march the Corps of Drums plays at 5:34 is 'Hazelmere'.

  • Where can I see the photos chap?

    Regards,

    Ed

  • Very good indeed! In spite of You Tube's bullshit.

  • What is the music at 07:21

  • @Myles0Harcourt it's Nairac G.C., composed by Stuart Watts. if you would be looking for the cd, i found the album titled "The Music Of The Grenadier Guards" performed by the Grenadier Guards Band themselves. i can't post any links but you can google the album's name (with the quotes) to find it.

  • @greenishblueleaves Sorry my friend but I think this is indeed the Grenadiers Slow March and not Nairac GC ( I have played both many times)This was being played as the Grenadiers trooped the Colour through the ranks.Perhaps someone can confirm just in case this old musician is wrong.

  • @MegaTonkaman Ah, it starts with the Gren's slow march, but the question was aimed at the slow march around 7:20 in the video.

  • Great clip, nice shooting. TY.
