Was that planned?? Seriously or did Davy just 'show up' on stage? I'd love it!!!! I'd be speechless if I was singing any Monkee song and one of them came out on stage - planned or unplanned, it'd be unbelievable!!!! Love it!!!
This Song " Bring back all my senses come to me again " believe it ...my eyes are wet by the tears..............I think this song's good to use it for " Therapy " Come Back To Your Sense "
i personally dont really like U2 but i do appreciate the way they respect others music and bringing Davey out for this song was a class act all the way. thats why U2 is such a legendary group
Saw Davy Jones in concert at Smith Point Beach on Fire Island when I was a kid. He is really just a great showman. It was truly one of my best child hood memories! He's classic.
@sirswift93 No -- Neil Diamond did NOT wright this ... John Stewart wrote Daydream Believer. Neil Diamond wrote "I'm A Believer." I do know this since I have been a Monkees fan for quite a long time.
Today's crowd goes wild for Davy! How freaking cool is that?!....I loved this clip! Great to see how well respected he still is as a great icon of rock and roll!
Now that was enjoyable. Edge looked like he was enjoying hamming it up; not just for Bono anymore. As for Davy Jones, he still does that little dance; Axl Rose tried to copy that, lotsa fun. Cheers!
I just saw 3 postings with U2 doing Daydream Believer, which was pretty sweet in itself. The Edge does a great cover of this tune. But this is the first one I spotted where they brought in the original article... what a great surprise to see David appear.
Spectacular!!!!

Check out Davy's impromptu performance of this song at Garden State Comic-Con 2011. Search: "Davy Jones 10/8/11" .

That is really cool! I love both U2 and the Monkees and I would be completely in shock. Long live Rock and Roll!

This was in La on June 21st, 1997. The Monkees had played a concert the day before at Candlestick Park in San Francisco.

Neil Diamond wrote this song, not John Stewart.

You are incorrect. I suggest you are thinking of "I'm a believer" written by ND ... this song is the late John Stewarts.

John Stewart wrote Daydream Believer
Neil Diamond wrote I'm a Believer

Don't forget to ref. John Stewart with this song. He wrote it.

Neil Diamond wrote it; where did you get John Stewart?
sirswift93 2 years ago
Where did I get it? From any sheet music of the song. Doesn't take much homework to be right on these things. Diamond.... lol

This is great! Thanks for posting it. I would recommend that you cross-reference it for "Davy" and "Jones" to make it easier for Davy's fans to find.
