Ace helped write heaps of the early music. He was a big part of the Rock sound of KISS. But song credits were only givin if you wrote lyrics. The first albums they let Ace run loose. When they got Bob they started letting there ego's get boosted by Bob Ez. Ace didnt like Bob and Bob knew it. So Bob pushed Ace out over time using Gene and Paul. It worked, the music suffered from it as well. Ace stuck with the band even when he was out voted and didnt agree at all with the calls being made.

Keep in mind that Kiss along with many other bands always went back into the studio to "tweak" live recordings. KISS Alive(one of or maybe the best album ever) was pretty much pieced together in a studio. Solo's and lots of vocal work added and mistakes taken out or "fixed". So you are usually hearing a live recording that had a complete makeover. All bands typically do that. Having said that, I love and will always love KISS!

I think that it took the original KISS back in the 70's to bring KISS into the 80's and that brought KISS into the 90's. Then it went full circle again with the original members and now it is starting a new cycle. I di like early KISS from the 70's but this lineup is much more heavy and raw. I feel for Pete though he's too proud to have any music help. I love him to daeth but his last record sucked. I thought it would be more like his 78 solo record. That one was great

I think they played the old Agora in Cleveland at this show before it burned in the 80's.I was 8 yrs. old at this time.I finally got to see them in 96-97 reunion tour.(saw them in84)wanted to see them in 1977 but the blizzard came and my parents wouldn't take me.The 96-97 show was like a trip back in time.
yeah i have a copy. this is from the cleveland 1975 show where alive was partly recorded. that i know of, four songs came from this show on alive, RRAN Hotter than Hell, Firehouse, Black Diamond, and this, which didnt make it onto the record.

Yes they were good back then but If you realy think about it KISS is still good even without Ace and Peter. Thommy and Eric take Ace and Peter to a whole new level. I love Peter but he is a Jazz Drummer and that is good as he does Jazz very well. Ace is a great guitarist bout I think he is better off without KISS. Just like Paul was better after the Baetles. And I love the Beatles as well. Frehleys Commit was HOT.
It is rare because it is recorded. Like if they played Anyway you Want it off of the Live 2 record alot but it ended up on a live recording once , that would make it rare.

I think they played the old Agora in Cleveland at this show before it burned in the 80's.I was 8 yrs. old at this time.I finally got to see them in 96-97 reunion tour.(saw them in84)wanted to see them in 1977 but the blizzard came and my parents wouldn't take me.The 96-97 show was like a trip back in time.

yeah i have a copy. this is from the cleveland 1975 show where alive was partly recorded. that i know of, four songs came from this show on alive, RRAN Hotter than Hell, Firehouse, Black Diamond, and this, which didnt make it onto the record.

Yes they were good back then but If you realy think about it KISS is still good even without Ace and Peter. Thommy and Eric take Ace and Peter to a whole new level. I love Peter but he is a Jazz Drummer and that is good as he does Jazz very well. Ace is a great guitarist bout I think he is better off without KISS. Just like Paul was better after the Baetles. And I love the Beatles as well. Frehleys Commit was HOT.

It is rare because it is recorded. Like if they played Anyway you Want it off of the Live 2 record alot but it ended up on a live recording once , that would make it rare.

Everytime I hear Ace I get more convinced that he was, is and will always be the best musician in KISS. Just listen to this version of this song and what he does. Ok? Now, listen to the YOu wanted the best album same song....he does exactly the same thing! That's fucking difficult! He does not miss a single note!!!!!!! Perfect! No wonder he is not from Earth.

gene said it would be the same band with or without original members or the make up . I personally feel ripped off by what they did in the 80s as a kiss fan' i think they ripped ace and peter off too ;sorry my opinion theirs only one ace and peter led zepplin without jimmy page wouldent be led zeppline true rock is what it is''''how dear they do it for money ' as ace would say paul talks too much about the band kiss should its alife or something we no but to stabe fans in back is another .

well iam a kiss fan from the 70s and i seen you with peter never with ace live , 1st concert was the creatures of the night tour . you guys paul and gene made the biggest mistake when they took the name kiss without ace or peter my opnion is they should of used a new name, but they were succesfull in contiuning the kiss dynasty. but for taking off the kiss makeup was not kiss sorry I stand for chemistry, ill never pay a dime too go see your show without ace or peter again . its a rip off not .

YES!!!! I agree 100% See, the thing I don't understand is why people are soooo bitter about the whole Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer putting on make-up and the outfits....BIG DEAL!!! SO WHAT!!! it's still KISS am I wrong??? Yes, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley WERE....and I can't stress that enough....WERE a big part of the band in the 70's and then the Reunion tour. But in my opinion, they were both to messed up to be in KISS for good. I welcomed Eric and Tommy with open arms! Welcome to KISS
