  • The body is intact even though a swedish guy acturally died in a lavine where we were. By the way. The Neerup presentation is awsome and I love the music. May I use it on Face?

  • @MrSurfernik08 Of course, go ahead.

Good to hear that you are intact ;) The swede on the other hand, that's sad.

  • My father would have loved to see your joy for pipes and the shop and his pipe is in good hands now. I remember the Savoy pipes from my childhood but when they stopped I dont know. There is not much to find about them on the web as well. I think they vere imported by CB Møller.

  • @MrSurfernik08 Nik, good to see you here! Hope you had a good vacation (didn't break any legs did you?). I will take good care of the Savoy, that's for sure. What really makes it valuable to me is its history, the fact that it belonged to your dad. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that it's a beautiful pipe either. As I said, probably the best sandblast I've seen.

    See you, boss!

    - A.

  • Those pipes are all gorgeous, but that bulldog is simply amazing! It's hard to find bulldogs with a nice big bowl on them. Those slender straight pipes are definitely you. I'm trying to picture you smoking a Boswell Oom Paul and I can't see it. =)

I fear if I worked in a pipeshop I'd owe them money on payday instead of collecting a cheque. You must have more willpower than myself.

    Ben.

  • great pipes my friend

    i love the comoys

thanks for showing us your great pipes

    keep em smoking

  • Some real beauties there Arko! My favorite would be that Nanna. Man, Stanwell is very fortunate to have such great makers design a pipe for them, its a great tradition that I'm glad there still doing. Oh and the Comoy is magnificent! All worthy pipes there for your collection. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

    James

  • @astroman2112 Well, thanks, James! Yes, that Nanna pipe is great. As I said, not my typical style of smoker, but how can one NOT adore this harmonic piece?

  • Mate... so good to see you back in the saddle once again.

As, no doubt you already know, you have been well missed.

Thank you for taking the time out to update us all.

Take it easy, and have a great christmas.

    ~Nick

  • @41DegreesSouth Why, thank you very much, Nick! That's kind of you to say. By the way, I've only recently found your channel, but I must admit that I've enjoyed it a lot. You seem like a good guy.

You have a great Christmas too!

  • great to see you back ...u were missed my friend ;)

  • @mibgd Ah, old pal! Missed you too.

  • Fantastic additions, I love the Diablo beautiful blast on it. I am very much a classic pipe style man myself and I would take those any day..I am very fond of the My own blend pipe very envious..

    very nice stuff..

  • @Daftlilly1 Thanks! I'm glad there's still some classic pipesters out there. It's all about Pokers and funky freehands these days. Not that they're ugly pipes or anything ... ah, you know what I'm saying. I'm just glad that there are those who appreciate the simple lines.

  • @Pipepoet I am very much into those simple classic lines from days of pipe smoking glory, being a carver myself I have noticed a real push toward large pipes most of my work is made up of big pokers and fat rhodesians all very stubby and stout. Not my style but its the trend like you mentioned.. I am really glad to see you back Arko I have always admired your knowledge and style for pipes..

  • Uh... I'm quite speechless with the variety and quality of your new additions. Usually I'd feel envious but, since they're in your possession, I believe they're in the best possible hands. You smoke the pipe with evident respect and you look after them so well it actually shows.

  • @DailyPuffer Hehehe, as I wrote to Gustavo below: I knew that he and you would become green with envy!

But thanks for the kind words. I do smoke them with respect, that's for sure. They deserve it. And once I get them broken in I will continue to do so.

  • that Canadian looks great....

  • @MartyWeller Yes, it does, I think!

  • Nice to see you and nice pipes.

  • @MrSmokeGuy Thanks a lot!

  • Lovely pipes, Arko... the Loewe and Comoy's make me especially jealous. Amazing sandblast in the last one (never heard of Savoy's either).

    G.

  • @RequiemPipes Ha! I knew I'd make you green with envy here, Gustavo. You and Bruno!

  • Great pipes Yes yes great pipes.

    Take care.

    Swede

  • @snuggan1 Thanks a lot!

  • The Loewe is fantastic. Perfect English shaping. That slim taper is a lost art. I like the Savoy as well. Enjoy them well. Cheers.

  • @GothamCitySmoker Indeed it is! I knew right away that I had to grab it when the guy showed it to me. Such pipes don't come by each and every day, that's for sure.

  • Great pipes you picked up Arko, and the pipe you got from Nikolaj that was Steffens, wow.

  • @Pipescratch Thank you, Marc. And yeah, it was quite an honor to get one of Stef's old puffers.

  • nice new/old pipes!

  • @MrRolfiden Thanks, Rolf!
