  • This was the best time to be a wrestling fan seriously.i don't think we understood how blessed we were at this time.it does not get any better than this,we need another invasion.

  • @MrBmt84, I had that feeling too at the time that this was as good as wrestling would get. I cherished every moment from '96 to '97.

  • keep a close look vince... THIS IS HOW YOU BOOK AN INVASION !!!

  • why the hell is eddie having such a hard time, understanding the number 4?..lol

  • Maybe Rey was seeing double that's why he said four......LOL!!!!!!

  • chuck norris and Jack Bauer all bow to the madness RIP Macho..

  • Macho wasn't the one to fuck with LMAO as he jumps on limo....

  • What are the Horsemen bitching about? They did the same thing to other wrestlers to. The only difference is, they were the ones getting the shit end of the stick this time.

  • Jimmy Hart: what an annoying faggot!

  • @tattooedtrillionaire Jimmy Hart>You!

  • I for one would like to see another invasion happen in wrestling again

  • how didMysterio know that there was four of them? When he came out once the camera's were only and there was only 2 of them lol. I guess he could see through walls?

  • @boomkinscope It could be that he saw 4 guys come in the limo before he left the trailer.

  • @boomkinscope he said 3 of them..

  • lol at rey mysterio noob

  • Wow, tomorrow marks 15 years since this happened, and now Elizabeth, Eddie, Benoit, Woman and Macho Man are no longer with us. R.I.P

  • The best promo Rey Rey Mysterio ever cut, no doubt about it. He was thrown into that productional truck..haaa...Love it!!!!

  • @chucksvideos2010 wat u talking about promo this was real this wasnt scripted

  • I can't believe they actually had the police called because people thought a gang fight was going on XD

  • Why the fuck was there afire truck???!, they asked for an ambulance, lmao!!!

  • @juancrox Bischoff said in an interview that they actually had the police called on them because of all the stuff going on lol that may have had something to do with it

  • i remember this night, just flipping the channels and watchin this dumbfucks waiting for RAW IS WAR

  • WHAT THE HELL WAS REY TRYING TO DO

  • they was nothing but whimps when using bats!

  • @anaconda371 2 big guys like them using bats? what pussies!

  • R.I.P eddie, lex, macho man.......

  • @arkbishopbonkerboy lex luger didn't died

  • @arkbishopbonkerboy lex is not dead

  • Does anyone have the promo Arn did after this about the nWo name and what it meant?? It was the best wrestling promo I had ever heard up to that pt, and still is a great one.

  • I LOVE THIS ERA!

  • RIP Macho Man! Jumping on the limo lol

  • he threw him like he was a dart! classic!

  • the game changed after this...hero's and heels no longer mattered

  • The best part is when Macho man jumped on top the limo. I always wonder if he ever made it inside or if he fell off.

  • I like how Sting asked Eddie to Translate knowing Rey speaks english.

  • reys just laying there with no one giving a fuck about him hahaha the fucks with reys train of thought, makes me wonder when shit goes down if he always jumps off of railings hahaha

  • the fucks with reys train of thought, makes me wonder when shit goes down if he always jumps off of railings hahaha

  • this was when everything was SERIOUS, dudes carrying bats ans shit, and look hoe Rey was dropped!

  • "Its was 4 guys" well we only seen 2, Maybe hes seeing double.....LOL the commentery was great back then I miss those guys

  • Rey's mind LOL......He comes outside and without any thought process hops on the railing of the trailer porch and goes sky fly airborne. LOLO Rey Mysterio For President. GOD I miss WCW/NWO...NWO 4 LIFE

  • Thank you for posting these. This was the first episode of Nitro I ever saw and WCW had their teeth sunk into me until the dying days of Vince Russo.

  • MANGO MCMICHAELS IS FUNNY...CLASSIC

  • theres girls in that limo freaking out 1:50

  • Best drama ever

  • The outdoor arena lol...

  • I don't think young wrestling fans can appreciate this in the way we who saw it live can.

  • I miss them days. Now wrestling is boring. They whoop, spray painted and was gangsta. I love nwo

  • bullseye..... epic

  • Amazing actors!

I miss the old days :(

  • This is funny cause half the people in the ring at one point joined the nWo. with the exception of the 4 horsemen.

  • This was my 1st ever Nitro that I ever watched. I was 12 at the time of the airing. I was watching out on the porch of a home that my parents rented in Chatham, MA. Great times.

  • on the WCW DVD, Eric Bischoff said that the cops showed up during this segment because they thought that their was a gang war going on.

  • @wwemaster476 which WCW DVD? It was never mentioned in the Rise/Fall of WCW.

  • this was a great segment

  • @DaManEX1983 The other two women are Woman and Debra

  • i think the nwo was the best stable in the history of professional history. they were like a gang on the streets. the only problem is that they kept this storyline until the end of wcw. they should've ended it during 1998, if they did, they'd still be alive. but i still have to admit, this was a nice angle. nwo was great throughout 1996-1997.

  • Besides Liz, who are the other two women there?

  • i thought chris eddie and rey were best friends back then

  • Doesn't Macho Man look a lot like Sabu from behind at the start of this video?

  • thats funny

there supposed to be hurt and a fire truck shows up

  • there pretending to be hurt and a fucking fire truck shows up theres no fire

  • Lol, I loved the Mysterio lawn dart!

  • That's Chris Benoit!

  • THIS.... THIS was the moment I started watching pro wrestling. I'm telling ya, I was 11 years old flipping through the channels with my dad in the summer before my 6th grade year. We stopped on this because we didn't know WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING ON! If it were just reg. wrestling we WOULDN'T HAVE WATCHED! This gave me the wrestling bug and I trained to become a wrestler in 2005! If it weren't for this angle(nWo) and scene RIGHT HERE I would have never stepped into the ring and ever watched.

  • god i remember being stationed at ft. irwin california and every time wcw came to vegas my buddies and i would be there! wwe just ruined all of it.

  • @amundine those sound like awesome days fella. you cant blame wwe though the blame falls with bad managment, wrestlers with bad attiude and vince russo.

  • @amundine How did wwe ruin wcw in 96? or ever?

  • This was so well crafted back in the day. The crowd at the venue was booing cause they couldn't see what was going on at the time. This when the camera went to the bqack. The crowd was quiet in total shock. Dead quiet praying for the wrestlers injuried. lol WCW was the best wresting promotion ever.

  • Vintage WCW Moment

  • I like how no one cares about Scotty Riggs.

  • Woman, Elizabeth, and to a certain extent Benoit, RIP

  • I'm lovin how u can hear Scott Steiner yellin throughout the whole damn thing lol

  • @QDawg27 That's Steve "Mongo" McMicheals talking that loud. lol

  • wcw was the best

  • This was the first time wrestling really sucked in the public. You had people calling the police because they honestly thought there was a real brawl going on here, and real injuries. Just amazing work.

  • Holy shit! There's Nancy and Miss Elizabeth alive and healthy before they were killed years later.

  • does anybody on here have the video in which the entire locker room comes out and fights the nwo..i remember it and i know it happened..they even went to an over head shot that showed the nwo and wcw fighting one another ...i cant seem to find it anywhere

  • Holy shit!, that's eddie guerrero with Mysterio on the ground

  • lol fuck, this shit looks real!

  • @BoxingPride The NWA/WCW always had that edge on gritty realism. When the 4 Horsemen broke Dusty Rhodes' arm in the parking lot back in the 80s, that's the kind of stuff I'm talking about. The nWo continued that gritty tradition in the best way possible which is why that group was so breakthrough in 1996. Vince had to match this starting with Stone Cold & Brian Pillman feud in the Pillman's Got a Gun scene.

  • lol, poor Rey Mysterio getting manhandled like a rag doll

  • nwo 4life

  • "help we need a camera man back there" lmfao

  • mongo mcmichael is so over acting....kinda kills it. Great angle though

  • The firetruck coming wasn't part of the angle. That just tells you how real people thought this was.

  • wow you can hear people screaming hahahaha

  • 1:15 I love the part with Rey sent flying by Nash

  • I think Rey thinks there are 4 men cause he's seeing double like Zybsko said lol.

  • jimmy hart selling someone just falling asleep in the back to an attack angle with the nwo "he took an ambien and now hes by the nwo look"(lol)

  • 4:00 fire truck? for what?

  • @stonecoldnwo LMAO

  • 2:14 steve mcmichael lmao!! man i miss the good old 90s WCW!

  • NWO for life

    Kevin Nash for life

    feel it

  • I know it was fake... but this looked very real! cheers!

  • HOLY CRAP, the Macho Man is seriously crazy, he straight up jumps ontop of the limosine1:42 and latches on for a ride just like a hero in an action movie. If that wasn't a pre arranged stunt, that is just an insanely dangerous thing to do. Savage is nuts.

  • @shizeninho i was lmfao...he didnt even give a shit lol

  • HOLY SH** the macho man seriously is crazy... he jumps ontop of the limosine's roof just like in an action movie, if that wasn't a pre arranged stunt, that is just an insanely dangerous thing to do.

  • TNA NEEDS NWO

  • Haha. The Outsiders beat the shit out of WCW guys and the first person Jimmy Hart goes to for help is a camerman.

  • This Attack Ended Arn Anderson Wrestling Carrer...

  • this was when i loved to watch. unlike today when its the watered down crap. i knew it was fake at this ponit but it was still rule to watch. rest in peace wcw i miss u.

  • And little kids were crying when the NXT guys tore up the ring?! This would have been traumatizing.....FOR LIFE!!!!

  • @TSMontana LOL fo sure

  • i remember this like yesterday that was when i still though wrestling was real nwo was the good times coolest bad mofo's ever.

  • @bigjoe23465 Amen, brother! I was only 11 and I thought this was FOR REAL! lol. I remember my friends LOVING wwf and Bret Hart (I do too, NOW) but I was never into it until I found WCW and this MAGNIFICENT angle! YES!

  • The funny part about this is at 6:36 Eddie Guerrero said the third man was Hogan.

  • @geejr Hogan was the third guy. he had joined the nwo by that point

  • @geejr ROFL hahahahaha Nice Find!!

  • this reminds of the ending of last night's raw where nxt rookes trash raw

  • @bubbaali021 that was awsome

  • How would Mysterio know there were four guys if he was in his trailer the whole time before Nash knocked him out?

  • @MizNelson tru lol

  • ahahah! "The Macho Man is ON the limousine!"

  • The acting was sooo much better.

  • @drlovebutton well except for mongo, but hey, we dont expect much from him.

  • Wrestling will never be like this again and thats sad

  • @Humtuer2 I don't know if you saw last night's raw when the NXT rookies "invaded" but it so reminded me of the nWo.

  • @Musiclover19 lol i was thinking the exact same thing. found it more entertaining than anything in TNA the past few weeks.

  • @Humtuer2

You know what, that is always said. But a big part is a child hood, I loved the days of Hogan,Warrior, and co.. But these days were good too, I know what you mean.

  • @Humtuer2 Dont speak to soon bro....You never know...With ROH being bought by a billion dollar company...And wwe raw being actually good....You never know.... Notice I didnt include TNA...LMFAO

  • lol i was 9 when this happened. i was upset the night hulk hogan sold out, and this night made me cry because i thought it was real. rip wcw- best storylines ever. vince should take some lessons. its not all about vulgarity. this pushed the envelope and was still kid friendly

  • omg when did this happen? Was it on nbc? This is worse then the war

  • my favorite quotes:

    they got baseball bats

threw him like he was a dart

the macho man is on the limosine, told you he's nuts

  • Wrestling needs realism like this.

  • when nash and hall r together then u know there will b some trouble

  • NWO 4 LIFE

  • I'll never forget his. Really exciting time for wrestling. RIP NWA/WCW.

  • RIP is right Nancy , Liz, Chris & Eddie that,s atleast 4 I saw .

  • They had a small crowd

  • I miss these days. I was in the sixth grade I was laughing my ass off. NWO 4 Life. I miss WCW for real. Wrestling kinda sucks now

  • If I'm not mistaken, didn't WCW used to be rated TV-PG before Vince Russo took over writing?

  • @aurcityrep yes when WCW was winning the monday night war they were PG.

  • @GordonRyan80 Yeah man Hall and Nash said they couldn't hit them with baseball bats on tv so they just dropped them. And they felt the click clank was more powerful. The implied violence. I agree.

  • i remember watching this as a kid. i was so worried about rey mysterio lol!

  • It looks like TNA is trying to "Bring Back" the nWo.

Remember when WCW tried that in 2000? No such luck.

  • throwing mysterio into the trailer is what put wcw over the top in the ratings war

  • wcw sold this very well.

    man i miss these days

  • Thanks for uploading. This was one of my favorite moments watching wrestling when I was a kid.

  • i hope tna goes this angle

  • damn, i still remember watchin this live the crowd was booing like crazy!

do u also have the video of when the outsiders were driving behind the Stiener brothers and fliped their car over??

    it was around this time..

  • This angle was pure gold. Residents in a neighborhood next door actually called the police thinking a brutal gang fight took place.

Try creating that kind of drama McMahon.

  • @jwdogfst my 70 year old aunt, who knew nothing about wrestling, was one of the people who called the cops, about the brutal gang fight!!! lol..by the time she called 13 other people had already called and there were already aware it was wrestling...lol!!! this was the absolute best, and was my favorite moment during the entire N.W.O thing!!! even mongo showed great character during this!! everybody sold it great and was just so awsome!!

  • lol the commentary was great back in these day! lol I fucking miss these days!

  • "Threw him like he was a dart!" Hahahaha, love it.

  • Holy shit, this was the first WCW show I ever watched. This edition of Nitro was what made me a wrestling fan. I've seen one or two WWF matches before this, but this particular edition of Nitro made me care about wrestling at all. I'm glad LooseCannon uploaded this on YouTube, because it brings back memories.

  • real good stuff back then. i remember switching the channel over from raw to wcw when raw was slow.

this angle was talked about for a long time

  • Chris Benoit crying at the end....LOL.

  • Ya big LOL..... hahahaha

  • He was crying cuz he wished he could have killed them himself.

  • This was awesome

  • 4 is 4 for god's sake!

Shyt for like 10 mins these guys are telling them 4, and they still cannot understand what 4 means

  • THIS WAS SO REAL

back in 1996. Remember this was all cutting edge back in these days. WCW pushed the envelope.

  • Now that's how you book heels.

  • lol, too dramatic

  • lmao Alex Wright

  • This is the one of the best storylines ever.

1: The way that Jimmy ask for help.

    2: The people crying, screaming

3: This is the start of the NWO. Beetwen us the NWO was the biggest turn in wrestlig history.

  • It actually made the news almost. WCW had to confirm it was actually a story. This was classic. One of the best Monday Night stroylines ever!

  • Hell yeah

  • definately great stuff

  • Then that fuckass Vince Russo, who NEVER shouldve been allowed in or near wrestling, just like his bedtime buddy Eric Jackoff, had to go and RUIN the NWO story. When Jackoff got involved in the story is when it went downhill

  • like it or not, these guys really sold this well.
